Bean and the Baker

I come here about once every 4-6 weeks to catch up with a friend. They are always clean, neat and friendly. 3 stars is because I'm tired of drinks I can't drink. My go to drink is a black unsweet tea, hot or cold. I've tried other drinks in the past. Those were never good. This time I wanted to try something different. I asked for an iced chi with 2 pumps of sugar free vanilla. Then they asked if I wanted it hot or cold. I looked at them and said cold. (Really? Iced chi doesn't imply cold?). After paying, they proceeded to put 5 pumps of sugar free vanilla in the cup. 5! More than double what I asked. I took a deep breath and said to myself, give it a go. Nope. That drink was so gross. I just took tiny sips until our get together was over and threw the whole thing away outside. I drank cold vanilla. No chai could be found. It was soooooo sweet. It was awful. I wish Starbucks was here instead. Lesson learned. Never getting anything except unsweet tea or water here.

Quality of the food and beverage is good. Quick service. The barista may have been having a bad day but she wouldn't even smile. I felt like I was more of a problem to her.

Walked into this place and it was beautifully decorated for Christmas and the winter. It was clean, open, and cutely decorated. The parking situation was street parking on a main street, but I didn't have a problem parking across the street around ~1130 on a weekday and walking over to the shop. There was only one woman working and it was a little busy but she was professional and busting her butt. I ordered a black blonde roast coffee and a chicken cranberry salad. I thought the coffee was tasty. The salad itself was fresh and delicious. They also have seasonal drinks and fancier drinks like mochas and lattes, as well as sandwiches and wraps.I had a great experience studying here for a couple hours. There's two rooms, one with the counter and a smallish table and the other with about 6 tables and a couch. There's a lot of windows and the sun comes in nicely. There wasn't any other people studying at this time, so it was nice and quiet and a good environment to focus. All in all, I thought it was clean here, the service was good, the coffee was tasty, and the salad was fresh. I would definitely come back here to grab a bite to eat, a coffee, and to study!

Stopped by before heading out of the area to drive back to Pittsburgh. We went with an iced tea and I tried one of their club sandwiches. Service was friendly and fast and our drinks were delicious. The club sandwich was also very good. Parking was easy to find right in front of the store.

Phyllo cinnamon roll was bland, cold like the fridge, and hard. The regular cinnamon roll was ten times better with plenty of cinnamon paste in between the layers even though it was too cold and kinda hard also. The sausage egg and cheese breakfast sandwich I had made on a wrap was nice. It needed so spices or salsa for sure but the wrap actually was very soft and whole wheat with good flavor from that. Not bad for coffee shop food!

The space is dark and smells like they just cleaned their ovens - a burnt, chemical smell. The cinnamon roll tasted like freezer burn; it would appear they aren't making their pastries fresh.Finally, I didn't get a stirstick with my tea, and didn't see any on the counter, so I had to wait till I got home to drink my drink. They could also put labels and prices on their baked goods.

This is one of the closest coffee shops to my house and I've been frequenting some of the Kent ones, which are also close, but wanted to try it out. Very cute inside and a great vibe for meeting a friend for coffee and catch up or looking for a quiet reading or work place. I got my usual I order mostly everywhere, an iced vanilla latte. It didn't disappoint. The double chocolate muffin my husband and I split was large, fresh, and deliciously sweet. I love a dense muffin. We each got bagels, too and while nothing special, they were fresh and nicely toasted. There were several other delicious looking pastries I'd like to go back and try but I was really craving a bagel this day and didn't want to go too carb crazy. We enjoyed the ambiance inside and they had a shelf with games and books which would be fun if you wanted to stick around with friends for a while. I'll be back!

The coffee is always good and the people are always nice! The prices are also amazing.

Very pleasant atmosphere and their menu,although slightly limited , has excellent entrees and pastries.Very friendly staff! You order, pay and enjoy!!

Great coffee! Pretty good sandwiches! The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. definitely a cool place to stop and enjoy a cup of coffee.
