I absolutely love this place and the people who run it; they remember their customers! After moving here from DC, I felt starved for some decent Thai food--anything remotely decent. This place is absolutely INCREDIBLE! I seriously can't get enough. I haven't had a bad dish to date; the flavors are incredible.I've tried the wings (for my boring boyfriend, lol), and he loved them. The Tom Yum Goong soup is fantastic--great broth with so much flavor. I often order the Seafood Madness, even though I sometimes struggle with how spicy it is; it's just too good to pass up. I adore the Thai basil, the Drunken Noodles, and the Pad Thai.Honestly, just about anything I've ever ordered from them has been authentic, flavorful, and made with very fresh ingredients. I'm usually skeptical about seafood dishes, but their seafood is legit and fresh!I love this place! The service is great, and the food is made with love. I won't go anywhere else.

The service is great and fast. The waitress was very attentive we didn't have to look for her. The food was brought out quickly after ordering. The ambience is casual dining.

A hidden gem for Thai food. I had lunch here. Great tasting, freshly prepared meal. I had shrimp with my entree. It was nice and tender, not chewy. Server was attentive and friendly. Ambiance is a little rudimentary, but nice. I will be returning.

I'm glad to see that Basil Leaf Thai Restaurant opened in the same space as the Thai House Restaurant in Elyria, I was sad to see the Thai House close their doors. That being said, I was at Basil Leaf on June 1st 2024 for the soft opening. Glad to see the restaurant was busy with several tables and to go orders flying out of there. With a nice remodel of the space, new owners and a new modern menu. My favorites from the Thai House and Siam Cafe is the Panang Curry Chicken and Pad Thai. I went for the Panang Curry with Chicken and I asked for some extra heat. I was not disappointment with the panang curry chicken and the heat was spot on for my taste. If you're in Elyria or willing to make the trek, you will not be disappointed. Eat healthy and support local chef owned restaurants!

We used to come here when it was called Tai House and were sad when realized it was under new management. Well let me just say Basil leaf did not disappoint!! Delicious!! We tried the papaya salad, green tofu curry, beef Pad Thai, vegetable dumpling soup, and the coconut bubble tea. ALL AMAZING!! Excellent service and food! We will be back.

New owners, name, and restaurant from the old Thai House. Very good pad Thai with chicken- light, not clumpy, chicken well cooked and seasoned. Very friendly service- will definitely return.

The new owners transformed what was a shabby dark takeout Thai restaurant into a bright, airy, immaculately clean space. The ambience is spare with wooden tables and chairs, and no decorations, but it's very pleasant to dine in.The food is expertly prepared with just the correct amount of seasoning requested. I had clear vegetable soup, which had three plump perfectly done vegetable dumplings. The drunken noodles had exactly the right amount of sauce, and the accompanying vegetables were crisp and cooked perfectly..Service was efficient and friendly.Highly recommend this restaurant and I will be back.

Went to the Basil Leaf last month, was a pretty decent place. Had the Angel Wings, they tasted great with the Thai sauce. Person with me had the Pho Vegatable, sans tofu, and thought highly of it too.Would definitely go back!

Service is excellent, I had the Pad Thai a few weeks ago, it was excellent and I actually went back and ordered it 2 more times for lunch takeout within that same week. I've since then moved out of town and can't find a Thai restaurant that compares. Guess I'm going to have to take a drive to my favorite Basil Leaf Thai restaurant.

Excellent! First time getting carry out from Basil Leaf. Everything was really good and I am very picky about Thai food. Best papaya salad I have ever had. My husband had teriyaki beef and the meat was really good quality. Great service too. They double checked to make sure my order was correct and it was all in the bag. I highly recommend!
