Nice friendly location in town. We enjoyed our cold beer and wings. Bar maid was very nice and attentive.

Visited BB Rooners for dinner at the advice of a local person. Was told that "the french onion soup is fantastic" stopped in on a Monday night. There were several people there I ordered the soup and a Caesar salad. The initial service was a little slow since I was sitting at the bar. But when the bartender came along I got my order in and it was ready quickly. My soda tasted odd so I asked for water instead. The soup was indeed fantastic and I enjoyed the salad. A couple local folks were chatting with me and that was nice. They wished me well on my business and offered some dining suggestions for the next evening. The bartender came along was a typical sports bar and seemed clean. I was concerned about the soda gun or the ice after the bad tasting soda. But the water was fine. The food, conversation, and ambiance kept this from being a three star experience. But I'd try it again if I'm back in the area.

For a sports bar it has excellent food most of the time only bad thing is some of the waitress tend to ignore you and the burger could be juicier you can tell whomever was the chef was pressing down on them squeezing the juices out and the biggest issue is they like to water down the ketchup

This place is such a cute small town vibe, but nothing about the food is down played. The pictures truly don't do this Salem, OH fan favorite justice. The flavor was impeccable & portion sizes were adequate. I had the turkey pot pie (a seasonal item) that was to die for! The Italian sausage sandwich was hearty & delicious while the fried pickles were the perfect bite each time: they got an 8 on my personal fried pickle rating - which is pretty darn good.

Came in for a late lunch on Sunday and there was plenty of seating available at the tables and the bar. We were approached by our server immediately. We ordered the giant pretzel app, but she said they only had bites today. We weren't disappointed. The pretzel bites were buttery and the beer cheese was hot and flavorful. I had the fried chicken entree which came with mashed potatoes and green beans. Definitely worth the $13 price. The breading on the chicken was well seasoned, the mashed potatoes had some skin and chunks, and the green beans were as expected. Not soggy at all. My brother had the state street burger and said it was perfect. The fries were crispy, but unseasoned. My dad had a special fried grouper that he asked to have blackened instead. This came with coleslaw and fries. He said the fish wasn't cooked exactly perfectly, but he wasn't complaining at all. The food came out quickly, every single person we came in contact with was friendly, and the decor and lighting of the place is inviting. The bathroom was clean and stocked with soap and paper towels. I'd definitely stop in, if in town.

The atmosphere was more of a bar feel than a restaurant. I was able to seat myself. I chose poorly, my table was sticky and my waitress was not really on the ball. It took a while to be acknowledged and had a menu brought to me. I ordered my drink and she suggested the fried haddock and I took her up on it. My meal was brought to me from another waitress and was told the my waitress would check on me. 1/2 way through my meal I needed more tartar sauce and had to seat down a waitress and ask for more. The next time I saw my waitress was at check time. Service was the only reason for only 3 stars. My fish and the coleslaw were top notch, the fries were good but average. Definitely recommend the fish.

Had the shrimp basket one night and it was very good.Tonight I had a Reuben and it had very little sauerkraut and no thousand Island dressing. Disappointed tonight.

Great food and at a reasonable price.The new owner is really an upgrade from the previous ones. A nice variety of tv screens above the bar for sports though, It would be nice to have a few more like other places around Salem.

Initially, the atmosphere of the establishment seemed quite pleasant, and I was excited to try the food, which indeed was delicious. However, while seated and enjoying my meal, I noticed a mouse scurrying about, which was concerning. I brought this to the attention of the owner, who responded graciously, suggesting that the mouse might be unwell for being out during busy hours. Unfortunately, there was no offer of a refund or any assurance regarding the cleanliness of the establishment. While I appreciated the quality of the food, this experience has led me to reconsider my visits in the future, as it raises health and safety concerns.

We weren't from the area, but stopped in while driving through Salem. The burgers were great, as were the chips. Best Gluten Free bun my friend has gotten at a resturant in ages. We had the Mushroom Swiss burger and the State Street burger. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely stop in.
