B & K Root Beer

Man, what a bummer. My local friend told me he read this place was voted the best root beer float. I would imagine this can't true based on my recent root beer float. Unbeknownst to me when ordering everything is served take out style. No glass mugs, no trays on the window, The server said this is the new way since the new owners took over. Maybe it's nostalgic for me but root beer floats served in a foam cup are not the same. And to that the 2 scoops of hard ice cream didn't help either. The Spanish(Coney) dog was OK-not great but not bad either. Crinkle cut fries are always a good choice. I cant imagine going to a takeout only style is going it be liked for the majority of customers. It might seem trivial but this recent trip showed me it isn't a model I like.

My wife and I stopped in for lunch today. This is still a great place for a great Spanish hotdog, fries, and root beer.

You don't go to B & K because it's going to blow your mind or because you're looking for some fancy fair. You come here for a tasty Spanish dog, root beer on draft, and the nostalgia. The menu is simple. The root beer is ice cold and in big glass mugs, fries crispy, and if you're up for a float, they've got you covered. The service is friendly and adequate and the food always comes out remarkably fast. We love that they serve you right in your car. If you must, there are a few picnic tables. I always order a Spanish dog with mustard and raw onion, fries, and root beer. I'm a creature of habit, but they're always so good, I feel no need to change.Bring cash to pay, sit back, relax, and enjoy this summer staple.

Worst customer service ever !Tried to bring the family in for some burgers and floats , one of the waitresses told me to move my car to a different spot , i did so then when i did i got out to order then sit on the benches they told me to move again because it was backed in..so with no good explanation why i needed to move a third time i just packed my entire family up and left , i will never return and im not sad cus from what ive heard anyway the kitchen is filthy and i know the food isnt that great to begin with . eat at your own risk !!

Headlights for service?! Not here! The nasty, mean lady behind the counter will come out screaming at you to turn your headlights off. Never have been treated so rudely right when I pulled up. So I pulled right back out and will never return.

We just LOVE this place! We realize they were sold last year and this year the new owners have apparently improved their menu-the hamburger is clearly home-made and not frozen. Very tasty. The fries are good, and the root beer float is also great. The server mentioned that next year they'll be returning the trays and mugs, so that's definitely something to look forward to. We are extremely happy with this little place. And they cleared out the overgrown trees surrounding the building and next year we'll be able to sit on the picnic tables.

Good hot dogs and fries. Quick service. Root beer was flat. Will return for food but not root beer.

I have been coming to the B & K Root Beer stand since I was a student at Rimer Grade School, since around 1960. It's been a storied tradition for me, to make the trek when they open int he Spring and then drive from home probably 10 to 15 times during Summer. Sadly, no more. Evidently the stand has been sold, as I didn't see Karen, the curb "girl", who's been waiting on all those years, nor the couple that ran the place. There's a new look, cleaner, new paint, nice servers, but the food was not good. Well, it was okay, just not the "old" recipes. They wrap everything now in fancy foil sleeves, and a box in a bag, but what they call a Spanish Dog is so bland and messy, and the sloppy joe even more tasteless. Probably nice folks trying to put their spin on things, but if they don't go back to the "original" sauces I won't be returning.

I'mI stopped to get a three Spanish dogs and a large root beer float, I was at the window and she seen me,she was helping her help! she could of at least took my order! I waited 15 minutes I won't be going back there again I left!
