Minimally... fix the ladies rest room for God's sake! Some easy fixes that might attract more people. A coat of paint? Bolt the toilets to the floor? Some simple housekeeping on a regular basis? Geez.

Every single time I've been here I've been impressed. Service is great. They play "The Strokes" radio, which is, imho, appropriate for everybody, but especially enjoyable for the 25-35 year olds. A great place on the weekends for us folks that still want to turn up, but not with the young bloods. They just changed the tv from college basketball to Stepbrothers. Great place. Gtg

The owner may have gotten rid of the Put-In-Bay island theme by updating things a bit inside, but as my grandfather taught me many years ago...No matter how hard you rub you'll never polish a turd.Sadly, the crowd hasn't changed. The pizza that they serve - made by Guy's Pizza - is no better then the $3.99 2-pack of pizzas you buy at any conveninece store. No taste, bad sauce, and really sparse amount of toppings. I suppose if you're smashed out of your mind it's okay, but what isn't at that point. If you're in the mood to hang with the dredges of Lakewood, and listen to shitty cover bands....you'll love it!

Best happy hour in Lakewood. As long as you don't mind not having a patio this place rocks. First off, the happy hour goes until 8pm instead of the typical 6 or 7 cutoff. Also, draft beers are only $1! Way cheap. That goes for domestics but I know Angry Orchards are only $2 or $2.50 which is still way cheap. They do cheap shots too which I think are half off. I know the Bulleit Bourbon is only $3. The bartenders are always super cool and down to Earth. They are not trying to scam you or cheat you out of your money. You may even become friends with them.Monday night they have trivia starting at 8:30 which usually draws a good crowd.Tuesday nights are karaoke and $2 everything (minus top-shelf) and it gets packed these nights. Sunday night is service industry night featuring the same deal without the karaoke. The weekends are a lot of fun here also as they usually have a pretty decent band up on stage. Mostly cover bands but they do get their originals in as well. You can always check the schedule they have posted. Plenty of room in the parking lot too or you can usually park at the dentist office next door when it fills up.Come here with some friends and you will have a great time. As always with Lakewood bars you can get your group of d-bags running around but that has nothing to do with the bar. I have met a lot of cool people here. Worth a stop on your voyage in the sea of Lakewood bars.

Great spot. Ample parking, friendly and knowledgeable bar staff... Lots going on inside. Bowling, skeeball, pop a shot, VIP areas to name a few. Drinks are priced very fair and I have heard some great bands - with no cover. My buddies and I could not believe the constant flow of women either. Everywhere we looked. Good selection! Food is offered by Guys Pizza in an interesting yet effective setup. I will be back more often.

Not personally big on this place, but somehow I get dragged here occasionally. There is a very mixed crowd and usually everyone is getting pretty drunk. That can actually be fun... if you're not being too serious. If you stop in on Tuesdays, most drinks are just 2 bucks! :)The bartenders are generally friendly also. The music and crowd are not really for me... but if you love kereoke, I could see you loving it here. There is a pizza place called Guy's attached that sells 1$ pizza slices if they are open. This bar is great to go with a group.

Remember that hole-in-the wall bar at college that smelled horrible? Yeah, they replicated that smell perfectly. I'm 99% sure that I was given well whiskey in my double Jack and Coke. If you are looking for a place with a decent atmosphere this is not a spot to try. I'd honestly prefer drinking in their parking lot instead of the building. If your all time favorite band is playing then it might be worth going.Check the date of this post because if they don't change their business model I expect this place to be out of business within 2 years.

Bartenders are friendly and drink prices are pretty cheap. Trivia on Monday nights is fun, have done it for over a year now. Usually some good bands playing on Friday/Saturdays depending on the schedule.

A great place to start the night and keep it going!!! My girlfriend and I stopped in on a Friday night around 10:30 to get the night started. A live band was playing behind the bar and sounded great. The atmosphere was lively and fun. The bartenders were friendly (and hot). Drinks were not expensive and poured correctly. The Bartender even did a couple shooters with us. Highly recommended!

Good times at the Avenue Tap House. They've got a new lineup of bands for the weekends and they're doing acoustic shows on Thursdays.
