Austin's Wood Fire Grille

The food the service and the ambience is really good. However, I'm not giving it five stars because the ceiling tiles are in need replacement and look pretty bad and some spots.

My wife and I both had Ribeye steak here. The steak was cooked perfectly and had nice sear on the outside. Whatever rub they use is just right, and not over the top in any flavor. The brussel sprouts were downright excellent and pretty sure they were cooked to order. Had the basil garlic bread for appetizer and it was only OK. Overall a very enjoyable meal.

I went here with several friends on a Saturday evening. I was pleasantly surprised that we didn't need the reservation we made. It was not very crowded at all. The waitress was friendly and helpful. She was quick and efficient. I ordered the prime rib which was their special. I was 100% disappointed with it. There was absolutely nothing special about it and it was quite flavorless. I would never order it again. My husband purchased a porterhouse steak. I tasted a steak it was amazing compared to my prime rib. I would totally get that in the future. This place offers a lot of basic American fair if you like steak then this is the place for you. The prices are a bit on the expensive side.

Came here recently to celebrate a family birthday. Not overly busy on a mid-week night so we were seated promptly and drink orders were taken. Soon after, a loaf of warm bread arrived for us to munch on while we waited for salads and main courses to arrive.I ordered the chicken scaloppini which came with two sides. The chicken breasts were lightly breaded and sauteed. the dish was tangy due to the white wine and lemon sauce, but could have used more capers and artichoke hearts. I chose the wild rice and grilled asparagus as sides...both were tasty, especially the fresh asparagus which had a wonderful smoky taste due to being finished on the grill.A very decent meal, with attentive service and a nice atmosphere.

Truly a lovely dining experience. Lovely atmosphere! The hostess was professional, prompt and courteous. We were seated immediately (Sunday 5pm) and our waiter greeted us immediately. We had the Texas BBQ, Austin Burger and the cheesecake. Everything was delicious! Will definitely return!

Fun place to come. The service has always been good. The food is good and not terribly expensive. The cocktails are generously sized.

We have been here three times in the last 6 weeks on a weekend night. We made a mistake by sitting at the bar while waiting for a table, never again. The female bartender tender was curt perhaps she was overwhelmed but that's the restaurant business. Our other dinners were great. Our server has been there since the restaurant opened and was an absolute delight. He had great recommendations and made sure our dinners were properly prepared. Thank you and we will return.

the burger spot adjacent to the grille - needs HELPI've tried it three times - the first time - when they first opened - it was great....the last two times (this last week) it was horriblethe burger was: hard, burned, crispy, tasteless, thin, - and not worth $7IF they could figure out how to serve great burgers - thick, juicy, full of flavor, etc - they would get a lot more business - HELLO
