Super friendly staff which made the start of the night easy. They double checked where we parked to make sure we don't get toyed or ticketed which was very nice. Our water was constantly refilled and we were checked on frequently.I will say I wish the tables were bigger, it seemed really hard to fit all the dishes (since it's family style or sharing style) and our water and cocktails. The menu is organized by cook time and our waiter recommended 5 dishes to share for two which was great to try variety (but 4 would also be sufficient). Their pita/flatbread is delicious with a good char and flavor. The free flavored popcorn is also a nice treat to munch on while waiting for dishes. The beet dish is quite unique with the dry kiwi which is a great special addition and tasty treat. The kimchi fried rice was a bit mushy and didn't taste authentic but not bad.Overall had a good meal with friendly service and unique bites. Also can't complain about easy free lakewood parking!

I'll start by saying, I WILL come back for the pulled lamb hummus, the lobster bisque soup dumplings, the NY strip and the pistachio grasshopper (drink on the dessert menu). All of those items, which made up 3 of 6 dishes we ordered were exceptional. The soup dumplings are cool - don't skip the sauce. Why NOT put the king of soups in a dumpling? I could eat an order myself. The lamb hummus is super lemony, so fair warning if lemon's not your thing (it's my thing). The lamb was tender and the dill was a perfect touch.I enjoyed the steak very much. We ordered medium rare and I will say it was more on the rare side, but even my friend who is more likely to trend medium said the texture didn't throw her. It was very flavorful. We ordered a side of the scallion chimi sauce and it was a nice compliment.Don't skip the drinks on the dessert menu. All four sounded amazing and interesting and we tried three. All were good but the pistachio grasshopper was the standout. I'll drink my dessert all day!We also had the feta (good), the duck confit pierogi (skip) and the salmon cakes (good, but ask for extra sauce). My first drink was an Autumn in Jalisco, a fall take on a Paloma that was really nice.I will also come back to see if they've remedied the aesthetic issues as they said they plan to. We noticed immediately that the lighting was a bit stark and learned there were issues with how the electric was installed so that they weren't able to be on dimmers as anticipated. Our server volunteered the noisiness on his own (which didn't particularly bother us - we might be loud) and said that was also going to be addressed with sound panels soon. Overall, sounds like they're more than aware of these downsides and taking steps to fix them. The service was friendly and efficient, and I appreciated their candor when answering our questions about the ambiance. I thought the prices were reasonable for the quality, or at least not shocking. Like I said, I'll be back for a few reasons.

Artis is a unique new place in western Lakewood. As suggested, we ordered items from each of the first 3 sections of the menu (skipping the steak), and as promised the items came out 2 at a time for us to share. Everything we had -- the eggplant dip, the hot & cold Caesar, the Brussels sprouts, the scallops and the Korean short ribs -- was very good to oustanding. The Brussels sprouts and the eggplant were the true stars. The only real 'negatives' to our dining experience were the extreme noise level [so loud we sometimes couldn't hear our server] and the steep prices. As an example, 3 scallops for $35 seems a bit much, although they were excellent. The prices are the only thing that would give me pause about returning. Food-wise, it is top notch!

We made a reservation for a Friday night and glad we did because it was busy. Their menu is unique and a fusion of lots of different cuisines. We got cocktails to start and enjoyed them. For plates, we got the lobster bique which I'd skip next time, pulled lamb hummus which I'd recommend, chili garlic shrimp which was okay, the whole cauliflower which I'd recommend.

Artis did everything I could have hoped they'd do. The food was awesome. Roasted beet salad (unique and very well composed), shakshuka (rich and deep), apple waffle (sweet and plentiful), biscuit (buttery and tender), and roasted potatoes (simple and satisfying). Additionally, the environment was great, service was beyond attentive from the door to the table and back out the door. The portions aren't comparable to Cheesecake Factory, so if that's your thing, go to Crocker and knock yourself out. But if you're looking to try a newer establishment, who is putting out high quality food in a way that they can manage their margins and still provide a great experience, try Artis. Our meal cost $60 plus tip, no alcoholic beverages, and we had a delightful time and left unable to eat all of the food. We'll go back. Thanks, Artis. We see and appreciate you .

Loved the concept - sharing plates that come out in a sequence. We had deviled eggs, the broccoli, short ribs, fried baked potato, and strip steak. Everything came out in a timely manner, despite the crowd, which was great because we were heading to see a play at Beck Center. Every single one of the foods was delicious - my favorite was the broccoli served perfectly al dente (because of the crumble and sauce on top.) Service was attentive and friendly. The only reason I am giving this restaurant four is because of the noise factor, which others have cited as well. It's pricey too. If it were possible on yelp, I probably would give it a 4.5. Check this place out - it's worth a visit and may even become one of your favorite spots.

Very impressed with this place. Came to celebrate a birthday. Our server was very friendly. Cocktails were delicious, every dish we ordered was great. Overall, my expectations were exceeded, would highly recommend. Highlight dishes were deviled eggs and the flaming cocktail (delicious and super cool looking!)

Would not recommend this place for brunch. The Korean chicken waffle was horrible. The chicken tasted rotten and gamey. They give you a tablespoon of watery syrup and charged $2.00 for an additional side of syrup. Such a let down...

Review:I recently dined at Artis, and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing.Appetizers:The hummus tasted like it came straight from Costco, and not even the good kind. If it was homemade, it was a poor attempt. The clams were tiny, about the size of my thumb tip, and they only gave us five for around $20.Main Courses:The fried snapper looked impressive but was undercooked and not crispy. The curry on top was just okay. The prime rib, priced at about $70, was reminiscent of something from Texas Roadhouse, lacking any seasoning. It was decent but certainly not worth the price. The mac and cheese, which claimed to feature 7-year aged cheddar, tasted like it came from a jar. At $14, it was a letdown. The pork chops were decent but undercooked to a medium-rare and lacked seasoning. If brainworms aren't your thing, you might want to specify how you want it prepared.Dessert:The high point of the meal was the chocolate bourbon praline tart, which was quite good.Overall, I can't believe the high ratings this overpriced, under-flavored restaurant has received. My experience was far from what the reviews led me to expect.
