Around the Corner Saloon & Cafe

I'd give this more of a 3.5! Atmosphere is exactly what you want it to be if you're looking for a local dive bar. Several tvs, the patio is great in warmer weather, and you can't beat the crab races. Gotten food twice, the wings were just ok and not very sauced but decent for 69 cents a piece. The chicken quesadilla was surprisingly delicious! I've had both the Cajun fries and the regular and both are great. Drinks are always good, service is fast if not exactly the attentiveness you'd get from a five-star restaurant, but that's to be expected at a place like this. Really fits exactly what it's trying to be!

Just went there for the Christmas Bar this weekend. Absolutely beautiful. Decorations from floor to ceiling. So much to take in. Grabbed some fried pickles and mini corn dogs to eat which were good. The service was top notch. This place is a must visit, especially during the holidays.

While doing our Christmas pop up bar/restaurant tour this year, we had to stop at Around the Corner's Christmas Bar. It is a holiday must too. Always packed. We stopped around 6pm, waited a bit for drinks and finally caught a couple leaving so we quickly grabbed a table. Had Christmas Ales and tried the Dirty Grinch martinis. Very tasty, very sweet but a nice treat. Love that they go all out with the lights here! And they typically have Christmas Karaoke, which I believe is nightly. Very small so a large group is difficult to fit in here, so try it early before it gets too packed!

Around the corner is a cute Christmas pop-up bar. Definitely worth going to admire the over-the-top Christmas, decorations and fun holiday vibes, but don't expect much in the way of food or service. They definitely have a dive bar menu, with notable stables being the wings. Their black pepper wings have won awards, and we definitely enjoyed them, though the garlic Parmesan wings left something to be desired, as they were quite dry. The southwest tater tots were fine, though I'm not entirely sure where the southwest part comes from since they seem to be just normal tater tots, and were thus overpriced. The pickle spears were quite decent with a good fry and texture. The cauliflower wings are something that is 50-50, according to our waitress, and while I would say that they are quite different from most cauliflower wings I've tried, they were still enjoyable. It has a strong buffalo flavor, though the texture is not as robust or crunchy as other ones I've had before. Holiday drinks were fun and quite strong. I'm not sure I would come back if it weren't for the holiday pop-up.

Trendy fun bar for a night out! Good spot for the college crowd. DJ plays all the y2k hits!

Delicious burger. The best one I've had all year and it's November. The fries and onion rings were delicious as well.

I stopped here for the Christmas pop up bar and it was so cute!! It was decorated beautifully for the holiday and offered a fun and festive drink menu that fit the theme! The drinks are delicious, the bartenders did a great job. Definitely a fun night out for a date or with friends. Don't forget your Santa hat!

Heard all about their 'World Famous Wings" so I had to stop in for a taste. Started with a Yuletide on tap. Love Christmas in July. Ordered 10 wings with the 'World famous black pepper' sauce. Never had that before. Turned out to be a heavily peppered wing in a traditional mild wing sauce. Wings were good and crispy, average size. Sauce was nothing special, so I got a side of hot and they became much better. Service was fast and friendly. Turns out Wings were on special, only 69 cents each. Sat at the outside bar. Very nice setup! Watching those across from you sing along to Frankie Valli was worth the price of admission.

Went here on a Friday night for their Christmas pop up bar. The Christmas decorations were really fun, though we wished they would have put more decorations in all areas of the bar so that one room with the most decorations wouldn't have been so crowded. They had a fun selection of Christmas cocktails and other drinks. I didn't try any of the cocktails but they looked delicious! Some friends also ordered food, which they said was a great price and decent enough for bar food!

Xmas spirit was great!!! Xmas specialty drinks available.Very crowded though. However server was great.
