Anderson's Sports Pub & Eatery

This establishment was recently featured on a local TV show, so we decided to try it out for lunch. The service was slow and it took forever for our meals to come out. I'm talking 30 minutes for fish and chips and an Italian sandwich. The fish was thin and overcooked. Fries were cold. The bread to meat ratio on the sandwich was a disappointment. I gave an extra star because the corned beef eggrolls were tasty. However, the rest of the place is sorely lacking.

The customers were great there! I'm in a wheelchair and they helped me in the bar because there was no ramp to get in. I'm sure they would have helped me up the 3 giant stairs if I needed to urinate as well. For the people that were working, they could not have cared less that I was there. I could not get a menu to order food, or even a drink. I had to send my girlfriend up there to the bar to get anything. I have never in my life not left a tip, or felt as small and as unimportant as I did tonight. I feel burned for them even taking my 28 bucks for the salty food for which I would have tipped 20% for, for just an ounce of service.The kid at spuddy's that sweeps the floor asks me if I need anything. Not here though. Good luck, I'll check back when the bar is sold again.

Dive bar with Irish pub food. The menu looked so good and tempted us with so many unique options! It had been years since we'd had scotch eggs and were excited to order them as it said "made fresh daily" and "while supplies last." We also got the poutine. The bar staff were very friendly. There were TVs for viewing. When the eggs came, I cut one in half and looked over at my husbands to see what appeared to be a piece of fuzz in the sausage breading on the egg on my husband's plate. I reached over to pull it out and it was a pubic or chest hair. My husband couldn't eat after that. We had those taken away and I felt bad for the girl behind the bar. She didn't know what to say. The fries were good. They had short rib. The mushroom gravy was a bit too salty for me. We had a couple drinks and left. The side exit door leads to a dark small entry room before the exterior door. It's dim and has a step down at the threshold, I twisted my ankle on the way out. Not a good night for us or the establishment. This review is difficult because this place seems to have potential. I'd love to go back but we can't. Hopefully others have a better first experience.

My first visit here was not bad but nothing to write home about. I stopped in for lunch on friday and i was the only one in there so service was great never had an empty glass and i wad able to order as soon as i made my mind up. The bar tender recommend the irish egg rolls which came out very quick, there were nicely cooked and crispy. The russian dressing was very good with the egg rolls but unfortunately the eggrolls by them self had a weird taste to them which i believe is from the fryer oil because the house chips that came with my Jameson burger had the same off flavor. The burger was actually perfectly cooked and well seasoned, just need to work on a few things and this place could be 4 or 5 stars for sure. I actually give them a 3.5 but cant do that woth yelp!

Great meal!Despite living in M-O-L since '83, I finally stopped in here with my wife for dinner (it was my birthday). She ordered the 'Loaded Boxty' while I had 'The Anderson' (burger made-to-order). Both portions were as delicious as they were h-u-g-e: and I'm a big eater! Our waitress (who said she'd worked there for 3+ years) was very personable and proved to be a good ambassador for this eatery to which we'll not only return, but bring relatives who also enjoy a sports-bar atmosphere. Third time I have been here in 18 months. I have a rule for local places: only review negatively after 3 bad experiences. Mainly it's service. Always young women who seem very inexperienced, last 2 times we were ignored and had to go ask staff for service. Last time we were greeted within a reasonable amount of time. They have a full bar but bar staff have NO idea how to make a cocktail. Last 2 times I gave up and had either a beer (boo) or water. This time I asked for a Manhattan. Does it get any more simple?? If you don't know how to make one (what?) there is this thing called the World Wide Web. Yes that's right, pick up your phone and Google it. She came back- "we don't have Manhattan" huh?Then asked"what else would you like?" I replied "why can't you make it?" if it's because they don't have the ingredients I would pick something without that. "I don't know, she just can't make it".Anyhow here's where training comes in. Teach your bar staff basic cocktails or hire experienced people. Provide a bar book with cocktails, use Google, go over to customer apologize, suggest something similar you make well. Or ask, I'll tell you how. It's a very simple drink.Anyhow after this 3rd dismal visit, we gave up, left, and hit the Asian place down the street.

Excellent food: try the Anderson Burger. Large selection of draft beers and the bartenders are great. They've done a nice job with the place. People that rate this place low need to look around at the local options. This ain't Vegas.

This place is a nice little dive. Came here on a Thursday night. Thursday features some pitcher of beer specials and they also have 20 cent boneless wing night. The Hot flavored boneless are delicious but the Garlic Parmesan were unfortunately a little dry.The place has a fun dive atmosphere. It seems that a lot of locals in the area come here to frequent quite often. Everyone was friendly though and welcoming. Not too shabby!Drinks were a little watered down for my tastes for a dive. The bartenders were nice but like I said when you go to a dive you expect a decent pour.Nonetheless it's a solid spot for a drink and some simple bar food. Would come back again to try again.Cheers.

I'm sorry but this place has gone way down hill the food used to be super good. Last few times I've ordered these they have been horrible but I haven't gotten in a few months, figured it was just a bad cook that had been working but anyways .. I come again and the fries are cooked way too much, the corn beef is over cook they cooked the tomatoes as well which are supposed to be cold. .. barely any cheese .. horrible !! I couldn't even eat ended up throwing away after the first few bites and don't even want to ask for my money back bc the bartender was super rude to me as soon as I walked in.. I talked to the part owner while waiting for my food bc it wasn't ready by the time I got there which was fine and she was super sweet but yea won't be back ! I also used to work here when it first opened SO I know HOW it's suppose to be cooked and taste.

Use to be nice. Now its just gross to be in. Food is gross, service is slow. Not sure what happened but would never go back
