Amsden House Restaurant

Amsden House has been a staple in the area for YEARS! It's been around since before I was. Used to frequent this place as a kid and it's just as good today as it was so many years ago. It's truly small town USA. It's nothing fancy but it's a homey feeling. The food is delicious and you won't leave hungry. Service is always quick and friendly how you would expect in a small town. Definitely worth checking out and supporting a small locally owned business.

This place is great! Old, classy, dinner to the max! Fast friendly service, clean restrooms...what more could you want?I think most people come here for breakfast, but I did lunch. Was looking at the chopped salads, but then saw the smoked pork chop. Okay, you had me at smoked. Included a salad and coleslaw. Bone in, like a little T-Bone steak. About 1/2" think- would have preferred a much thicker chop, but for $10, I'm not complaining. The meat was a bit tough, but the flavor was off the charts! The salad was nothing special but the coleslaw was tasty. Need to come back for breakfast!

Wile driving through Bellevue, we decided to stop at Amsden House for lunch. Such a charming little diner! Great prices and food! The service was also wonderful. A little slice of history, as it has been open since 1940.

The service people are nice enough...For is bad. Omelets are flat, don't taste good. Kitchen management is awful. Took over 40 minutes to get our food. Pancake is decent.Water is okay.Home fries meh.Bagel decent, nothing special, but was at least not bad.It was crowded & folks we were visiting swore by toss place as a great place to eat. I guess there's not enough to compare by, and this is the only place to eat around here?Yuck. So disappointed.I was here a couple of years ago. Swore I wouldn't go again, but found myself here again, disappointed again. Can't even finish my meal, it was so bad. ...so hungry too.

The food is excellent, always! The service is quick and friendly. You can't go wrong with the Amsden House.

Stopped by here for breakfast while passing thru town. Place was a try, old school diner with huge servings and good food. You won't go home hungry and your pocketbook will be safe here. Waitress was great and the food is solid. They are not afraid to load your plate up with potatoes. Well done.

We were nearby at Seneca Caverns and a lady working there gave us a recommendation to eat lunch here as a "place the locals eat at". We were very impressed!! The food was so so good! You could tell the French fries were homemade! Service was friendly and prices were good! Would definitely recommend and will definitely return if I am ever in that area again.

The service was very slow. The food was decent. The server was great! We waiting for an hour for our food at 1:30 pm. Also, the place is very dirty and needs some love.

Friendly staff and always good food and service if you want good food and services then stop in here I only wish they stayed open later but if you can make it in in time you definitely have to eat their trash potatoes

They have great breakfast! The trash potatoes are amazing-always my go-to. Prices are reasonable, and service is always friendly, highly recommend.
