Great butcher shop in downtown Barberton. Huge meat case and many cuts of meat and varieties of sausage and bacon. Their Hungarian salami is awesome and super garlicky. We love their mild Slovenian sausage. Don't leave out fresh pierogis. They also have a nice European beer selection. We had great service and their folks were really hustling. Around the holidays you might have a long line, but it's worth the wait.

Food is good, I prefer my own chicken paprikas to theirs. They are a bit heavy with the paprika . Very good homemade mashed potatoes and kraut is yummy. Also like the stuffed cabbage. Husband loves the spicy sausage.Small cafeteria style with the butcher next door. Service is Friendly and helpful when ordering .

First time here & I was very impressed with the quality of meats available in the case. This is a very interesting place to shop for food as their are also unique ethnic canned goods & pantry items available too. Bought some salami for sandwiches. Tasted it & the freshly sliced salami was delicious. Also bought some fresh cabbage rolls to cook later this weekend. The staff was helpful. Will come back here again to buy some meat & other items.

What a great flavor experience. For ethnic Slovene/Hungarian homemade food. Cafeteria style, Hungarian sausage, cabbage rolls, pirogies, cabbage and dumplings, paprikash. All top notch homemade. If your first visit get the sampler to try it all. It is a lot of food, but you get to try most of the menu. It's $12 and could probably feed two people.

Simply. The. Best.Ah, a hometown favorite. What else can I say? Hmm. Love this place. Ok, we all have that one place that everyone in town goes to. This is one of ours (Barbertonians). The variety, the quality, the prices, the staff all top notch. The best Hungarian sausage by far. So, come on. Stop in. Make it a day trip. You won't regret it.And, here is the best recommendation I have ever given:I wanted to thank all of your employees and your customers. I came in this morning to get my NYE sausage, of course. I was number 23. And today, my hometown made a great impression on me.See today, I had to wear a mask. And I was really self conscious and nervous. It was the first time I ever wore a mask in public other than the hospital or doctor's office. I was afraid to be stared at and whispered about. I was afraid I would run into someone I knew. But something amazing happened. Even though we were crammed together like sardines, I actually felt ok. Nobody stared and nobody whispered. Everything was "normal". So for that, I thank you.It may sound trivial. But believe me. It was not. Today my "Invisible Illness" was quite the opposite. You see, I have Lupus and most days you would never know. But today, it was obvious. I had to wear a mask to protect me. A simple cough, sneeze or sniffle for you could quickly become much, much more for me.So, thank you.....Thank you for making ME visible and NOT my illness.Tina PostBHS grad, Barberton ResidentFounder of Shine Bright For Lupushttps://www.facebook.com/ShineBrightLupusAwareness/#barbertonstrong#LupusAwareness #LupusOH#ShineBrightForLupus

Being 50% Hungarian, the amazing spicy, yet incredibly tasty sausage from this place was a staple at family gatherings... especially around the holidays. I would gorge myself on sausage hoagies and to this day, I wish I could find anything here in Texas that is comparable. How I wish with every fiber of my being that they would offer online ordering and shipping for those of us that know what we're missing and can't make it back to the Barberton area to pick some up on our own. Simply put, and nostalgia aside, this stuff is the BOMB!

Summit County's best spot for hot Hungarian kielbasa! Pick up your sauerkraut there as well and you'll have an easy meal to throw together. It's always fun to chat with other customers while waiting in line as well as the hard working staff. Good selection of imported wines and beers to complete your celebration. The black and white photo of old Al himself called to mind the old guy's voice when I'd walk in the previous place on West Tuscarawas almost every week. The smell of the kielbasa brought back many great childhood memories. A place worth visiting for many reasons!

This has been a family staple at events for longer than I can remember. My wife and I have been together for over 21 years. Therefore, I've been around for birthday parties, graduations, golf outings, and/or ANY celebration and at each and everyone of those events Al's Meat was served. We have a family golf outing that benefits Akron General, Akron Children's, and Summa Hospitals- we have Al's Hot and Fresh Hungarian sausage for golfers at the turn for lunch and EVERYONE raves about how good it is and asks for the address. I have friends that ASK to golf on my team for this outing because of the sausage- SERIOUSLY....They do. I've been in love with this Hot Hungarian Sausage for years. I recently had friends over from out of town and they requested I purchase them some extra and bring it the next time I see them. You can go to Al's Quality Market when it first opens and there is a line. You can go right before they close and there is a line. The food is INCREDIBLE. Also, the people that work at the Market are always friendly and helpful- also quick with recommendations (which never fail). I can honestly say that everything I have tried has been high quality and absolutely delicious. I am EXTREMELY surprised there are not more reviews for this incredible market on here. Al's Quality Market is apart of our family as much as a butcher and Meat Market can be- we recommend Al's to friends, family, and strangers on the streets.
