My daughter and I stopped in for dinner last night, since we were in the area and had never tried Agavero before. The hostess was super friendly and we were sat quickly. The table salsa had a great flavor. My daughter ordered the street tacos and I had the Pina Hawaiiana. She loved her tacos and the spicy salsa that came with them. She also enjoyed the beans, but the rice lacked flavor. The Pina Hawaiiana was good, not the best I've had though. Plenty of leftovers for lunch!Overall, we were satisfied and a return trip to see if their margaritas live up to the claim of being 'the best in town', will be made

Highly recommend! Located in the former El Papa's, no change in decor. Medium sized menu, good variety of items. Servers are friendly, knowledgeable, attentive without hovering. Food is very good! My wife & I are there often enough that we're recognized; the waitress knows that i like horchata.

They make the beans!! It was like being back in San Antonio. The food, the staff the cost, wonderful. We also got a to go order and they added chips and salsa and all the different sauces as well. Finally, a Mexican restaurant with Mexican food the way it is supposed to be.

I ordered a margarita and Hawaiian enchiladas. Their chips and salsa were good. The margarita was a cloudy neon green. Asked for salt and got sugar on the rim. Tasted like a generic sweet mix. Nothing bad but not great. The enchiladas on the menu said cheese, chorizo and pineapple. There were two enchiladas cheese filled with basically a garnish of chorizo, not much at all and appropriate amount of pineapple with more cheese sauce on top. Way too much cheese for costing $13. I guess if you really like tons of cheese this would be great it was just not what I expected. This was my first time here so maybe I will try something else if I am in the area again.
