Abbey Market Grocery

This place is about as local convenience store as you can get. When I lose my dog, they know who he is and always respond "No, I haven't seen him" (not their fault my dog is speedy). They have awesome cheap beer. They have nacho dip. They're selling my neighbor's band's tshirts (JJ Grimm). They have milk when I forget and am cooking something but don't feel like driving over to Dave's. They always open on time and salt their sidewalks. They smoke in there. I've seen the main guy over at the other convenience store on W. 25th in his off hours (he must love conveniencing!). They've waved quarters for me when I don't have change. They never complain when I buy a pack of gum on a credit card. I mean...I could ramble on and on! And on! And on! I don't know what I would do without this place. They offer everything a good sturdy little convenience store should have but they're always pleasant and cool.Cheers, Abbey Market! Cheers!

The guys working here are always friendly. The gyro is pretty darn good for $5.00!!! We used to go here all the time when I was building the innerbelt bridge.

I've driven past this place many, many ... many times - but never found the need to go in, and I was more than happy to avoid that situation. Now, I feel awful for pre-judging this spot based on the less than safe feeling I received in the pit of my stomach each time I thought about entering. This place serves it's neighborhood in a great way! They have a mild selection of groceries, but most importantly - a rather good selection of beer options! Milk, bread, cereal, and beer? Sounds like a great little grocery to me.

Great selection of 40s and pork rinds! Better than a lot of the stores in Tremont/Duck Island. Dudes that run it chain smoke so it smells like cat ass but they are super friendly. Cleveland cops stop in here often to shoot the chit but be careful I know a dude who got carjacked in this parking lot. Plenty of spots for hipsters to chain up their 10 speeds and run in for some organic rolling papers too!

Gyros are incredible. Looks a little rough on the outside but the employees are all really nice and it's worth it to try the Gyros!

Staff is very friendly however it always seems like a bunch of drunks are just hanging out in the parking lot making it unapproachable. The owner should look into fixing up the space on the outside. It needs a major remodel. It's an eyesore in the neighborhood that obviously attracts a lot of loitering drunks and I think I saw a drug deal happening in the parking lot. Just seems unsafe! Could be so much better if cleaned up and updated. The staff is really great but it's time to clean up the place and get the loitering under control.

long time favorite! These guys have been here for years. They remember you when you come in - they order stuff for you if they don't have it. Always friendly and always leave with a smile!
