A Touch of Italy

The food is overall good, just took a very long to get it. The pricing is outrageous though; they charge a food tax, a beverage tax, and a non-cash adjustment. That's over $10 in taxes. Close to 40 minutes to get the food after the review. They take a long time to take your order, and to then deliver, including bringing out drinks. They mixed up my order at first and the waitress seems a little out of it and kind of rude. This caused me to wait even longer for my food. I've been sitting here falling asleep due to how slow they are. The food is NOT the issue, it's how slow they are. The atmosphere is very hectic. The bar is very loud, there is little to no separation from the bar. I'm trying to eat a meal with my family and it's just not a good place as a sit down restaurant. It reeks of weed, has guys smoking weed at all entrances and in the parking lot drinking and smoking. It's overall pretty sketchy. If you get food from here, take it to go, be wary of their prices though.

I go l over to restaurants as you can see...I had the worse experience ever..I ordered my food early purposely.....I was not ready when I got there...I told the lady I wanted to eat in she said I had to pay first...I paid,she gave me my food in a to go box with no tableware....I asked for condiments and tableware never got them...I walked over to the counter to go get them myself,she digging in her purse after 5 minutes of me standing there ignoring me,she said ,do you need something, I said yes the stuff I asked you for...She said somebody else getting it for you....She grabs hot sauce off shelf,says,we ain't got packets,and turned her back to me again...If you don't like your job,quit!!

Granted, this review is only for take out, but I was surprised to see the average on A Touch of Italy is low. My Dad was visiting the restaurant, and when we pulled the menu, my family steamrolled him into bringing home a few dishes (like any good daughter would).We split the chicken Caesar salad and the meatball sub. The salad was a huge portion and very fresh. It wasn't the weak salad one might come to expect from an affordable Italian spot. The chicken was seasoned well and tender. The meatball sub was also tasty. It was pretty simple but had a few homemade meatballs on it that were worth all the carbs. Inevitably, the bread got a bit soggy, but it was made up by the taste of meatballs. It was probably one of the better meatball subs I've ever had.Based on the food alone, I would come back for an in-person visit if I'm ever in the immediate area of A Touch of Italy.

I was having a great day until I went into 'A Touch of Italy' for a take out order. I have purchased take-out orders from there in the past and it was great. However, after my experience today, I will never, ever set foot in that restaurant again. I ordered 3 beef sliders from the first cashier and was told it would take 20 minutes. About 8 mins later I decided to add chili and cake to my order, thinking it doesn't have to be cooked so it shouldn't be a big deal. I asked the second cashier (appeared to be around 20, give or take a few years). who had been standing around picking in her nose that I wanted to add the chili and cake. She unpleasantly told me I would go to the bottom of the line and it would be another 20 minutes. I very nicely told her that going to the bottom of the line didn't make sense and I asked to speak to the manager. She races to the manager and tries to justify to him what she told me. The manager comes out and says he would check with the chef and told me it would be added to my order with no additional time. That's all the cashier had to do. I probably should have cancelled at that point...too much drama. If it wasn't for me getting my 92 yr old mother food, I would have. It was getting late and I also had ice cream in the car. The second cashier is talking under her breath with an attitude. Someone asked her to pack my food, I requested someone else to do it because I had enough of her attitude. The cashier starts cursing and talking out loud trashing me. I go find the manager to let him know about her behavior and she is out of control. Several staff members and the manager have to calm her down and she continues to mouth off and the manager is walking her out and she is still trash talking. I am a retired 70 yr old woman and have been in management as well as the medical field with customer service for more than 40 years. I have never experienced such disrespect and unprofessionalism. I received no apologies or acknowledgement for her bad behavior. One other staff woman had the audacity to try and tell me that 'I should not allow anyone to take me there.' The second cashier had no respect to stop talking even in the presence of her own manager and other staff. What does that tell you. Unbelievable. How difficult is it to be nice. Some employees don't realize in this day an age, that bad attitudes and behavior kills businesses. Unfortunate and sad.

Horrible for lunch. I have no idea what the night menus like. Ordered my food at 1100 am. Got there at noon, and it still wasn't ready. Had to wait another 10 minutes. Then once I got it. My burger was slightly burnt on the bottom. Fries were cold and dry. Tasted like they reheated some from the night before. I'm good. For $12, I have no problem spending my money somewhere else.

Amazing staff and food. The alfredo is great and would recommend the cat fish sandwiches too
