1899 Social Club

After a high school alumni meetup, my friend and I went across the street to this establishment. It was my first time there and I was pleasantly surprised as when I was growing up, this used to be Panera!When we walked in, we sat at the bar and I looked around to see how there were wonderful areas for people to setup and play virtual golf. I ended up ordering some pizza (buffalo chicken I believe) and it was tasty and filling!Also, we went on a tour of their private event space which is incredible. Hopefully we have a future event there!Lastly, the service was great, the place was nicely organize and managed. Will return when I'm back in the area.

Food was pretty good. Did the breakfast buffet. Wasn't steaming hot. Waffle and omelet bar were fun and fresh! the service was terrible. We got there around 11 and it wasn't busy. The restaurant wasn't even half full. Got the bottomless mimosas and it was hard to get a refill. Waited about 30-45 minutes for the bill, was definitely ready to go long ago. Nothing to write home about. Probably wouldn't be back just due to service and the food not being anything above average.

Stopped in for a quick drink and bite to eat. The bartender was personable and made great drinks. The turkey burger was really good, and I don't usually eat turkey burgers. It a really nice lounge with comfortable seating and unique decor.

We visited on the evening of 3/22/2024. There was a live band and they were amazing. We reserved a vip area which had a lot of room for our group of 5. Our server Anna was amazing and very attentive. We were first timers and she gave recommendations and checked on us often. For food we ordered the dip trio, boom boom shrimp and truffle fries and it all was a 10/10! We will be back soon. Highly recommended this place!

Brunch was excellent! Chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits and a flavorful poke bowl with seafood, fried rice cakes,fried nori too! It was mom's birthday and we enjoyed. The server was really sweet! The owner Brian is the best!

1899 Social Club is a new restaurant and indoor golfing experience located next to Van Aken district. I came here with a large party, which luckily they were able to accommodate in their very large space. We decided to share a bunch of the appetizers and entrées and eat meals family style, which was definitely the move. We ordered the calamari, crispy shrimp, seafood Mac & cheese, 1899 salad, meatballs, charcuterie board, and lamb chops. Overall, the food was quite delicious, the service was still a bit choppy. It was confusing how they brought out the lamb chops before they even brought up the charcuterie board, which took a long time to come out. They were constantly coming over to try and clear plates out from us, though it at times felt a little bit too intrusive. As far as the food goes, we really enjoyed the mac & cheese, the calamari, the meatballs, and the shrimp. The charcuterie board was underwhelming, and the salad was nice for some vegetables. I do feel like at the price point, the portion sizes we got were rather small, and the plates that they gave us were also tiny. The cocktails we ordered were quite good as well!I think this spot has a lot of potential and promise, though they have some service and food preparation kinks they need to work out.

The social club is big in size and can accommodate large parties easily. There is a lot of good parking outside and open till midnight on Fri and Sat! The food for portions were a decent size, but nothing was particularly innovative. It came out warm not hot. We ordered we ordered for apps. the fresh Burrata, Palmento cheese, balls. For the main we ordered the duck but we ended up with a short rib and I ended up trying it before noticing it was not the dish I ordered.Still, it was well cooked and enough to share for two. The service at the front desk helped us promptly and our waitress was also very nice. The golf is something we didn't try but seemed popular, like the bar. The vibe is trendy but there is a change in scenery if you go upstairs or downstairs. There are three golf bays downstairs and six golf bays on the second floor. The space is big and nice to be in. They play music but it isn't too loud. It seems like a very cool place for a business party, birthday, or graduation party. Come check it out!

Nice place to go when the weather outside is frightful ( which is all the time for Cleveland) Can't say I'll come back for the food, nothing was that appealing

Friday night. Fresh Flowers and Plants. Folks dressed to impress. Live JAZZ music. Open space. Great friends/bodyguards. LOL This evening it's all about the experience. It's a complete vibe. Oh wait and parking was also easy. I'll circle back for a food review. :)Circling back... in one word, "NO," regarding the food. My first time there and EVERYTHING was overcooked. The flatbread was the texture of both crunchy/crisp AND chewy sourdough bread (admittedly the flavor was good - because I personalized it), my friend ordered a wagyu beef burger that was overcooked BOTH TIMES. BOTH! (the remake took over 30 minutes to prepare).Another friend ordered French onion soup and said it was salty and void of flavor. On a positive... the ginger beer was amazing!Ambience, live music, cocktails and mocktails... this spot is for you. Food? The recommendation is eat before or afterwards.

TERRIBLE. Brunch buffet was cold, and the manager was too busy making excuses about it and explaining how hard they work to keep food warm to appreciate the dissatisfaction. Noted. The bill came and added insult to injury as it was WAY overpriced for what we got. Will never ever ever come back. Bleh. At least the coffee was good. And the omelet and waffle stations were solid. And our server was nice.
