Kevin and his team catered an event for a wedding anniversary party we through for my parents. The food was fantastic, his communication was outstanding and his team on site made it seamless. Highly recommend!

I would like to start this review by clarifying that I recommend this establishment and that my peers enjoyed their experience. Despite this, I ought to have a word with the chef at this establishment because my meal was everything short of diabolical. I sits down and takes a gander at the menu. The chicken parm caught my eye however i wish i would have never seen it because it was utterly foul. A strange liquidy substance lingered at the bottom of my plate and every time I goes to take a bite it projectiled on to me. I ended up wearing more spaghetti than eating. Overall nice establishment with a nice atmosphere with subpar chicken Parmesan.

So I goes here one night and let me say the following. 5 stars for that pork chop dinner menu item. Best pork I've ever had, no further debate on that one. Most tender cut of meat I've ever eaten. Just incredible. Topped with onions and apple slices and served over a bed of that nice rice. Incredible. Best meal I've had in a long time. Needs to come here again!

Came in here for a late lunch after fishing in the area over the weekend. We were not expecting much, but we were blown away at the food since we literally was there late on a Saturday in between lunch and the early bird dinner rush. We started with soup, our entire table of 5 went with the French Onion, you can opt for 8 oz or 11 oz sizes, depending on your hunger level. Brothy, flavorful, and the smoked provolone was a nice change from the usual top you get. I ordered the shrimp and risotto lunch portion, which came with a side salad. I loved the salad, it was not anything unique but it was well executed and I love the dressing (blue cheese) that can be dicey depending on the maker. Also, our table had the chicken sandwich, the perch special, and went with 1812 potatoes, forester fries, and a side of risotto. So many options for those who do not have the ability to make a decision, you can get them all! Our server was Heather, she was attentive and super friendly. She made our drinks (I had the Stoli Salad- which was a unique drink of a few different flavors of Stoli Vodka and lemonade. Pretty tasty and definitely dangerous!) Heather was really on top of everything, kept us topped off on waters- and at the end she brought out a small taste of their bread pudding for us to all get a bite in and definitely see what we were missing because we ordered too much food. The restaurant does have a country club feel, open format, but we are not super interested in the ambience, more on the food- and they nailed it along with the service from Heather. When in town and looking for a tasty meal with plenty of options, please note the pricing is higher but you're getting a nicer class of meal. Thank you to the folks at 1812 for a memorable meal. Next April when we come back for more walleye, we will certainly be back for another delicious meal!

Food was 4. My wife and ordered Mocktails from the menu. They have an extensive wine list and full bar. Service was A-1. This may have been the best restaurant experience we've ever had. (We eat out often). It's the first time I sent compliments to the chef. (CHEF not cook)... Food was worthy of Chef Ramsey's taste buds.

We have been here several times. The food is amazing! We usually visit for lunch but was here last night for dinner. The service was very slow and not as friendly last night. Also... why do people have to bring their dog inside a nice sit-down dinner? People...if you have to bring your dog, then watch your dog! I really don't enjoy eating an expensive dinner with your dog running up to our table as we eat.

We were pleasantly surprised with this find! We tried it on a comment a friend made and we tried it. So glad we did. The food was delicious, and our server was very helpful and accommodating. The drinks were great ( lots of options). The atmosphere was ok. We were tucked back in a room that was a little loud, but we'll know for our next visit.

We try to support our local businesses often & eating out is common for us at local restaurants. 1812 has a very nice ambiance & food is good. Not anything outstanding like those that remember Nate's & the Garden. Food was small portions (pesto pasta & brussel sprout appetizer) for the price. Ordered for dessert 2 pieces of çake which prices are not listed on menu nor did waitress know the price. We figured $7-8 each. When we received the bill we were VERY SURPRISED to find each slice of chocolate cake was $16! $32 for a dessert was ridiculous. We could have bought a rather nice cake for that price. Same owners of Rosie's on Madison which we enjoy but not as frequently as we used to due to cost & portion size as well.
