The Most Delicious Restaurants in Cleveland

"I stopped in for the Lorain County Best Burger Battle. Since I can only vote for one this review might be a bit more nitpicky than usual as I compare and decide a winner. First off, cute little diner with old school decor theme of cars and records. Also 5 stars for the service received. Our young server was personable, helpful, and patient. Reasonable prices too, the food however...The Pierogi Burger came with American cheese, a pierogi, bacon, grilled onion, and sour cream. You also got fries for $9.99. This burger was good. I liked the seasoned burger patty with secret spices (something red, paprika?), however it was not a fresh made patty. Loved the homemade cheese and potato pierogi, but it's not made there. They bring it in from some place in Cleveland. Bacon was crispy, bun was grilled and buttery, and I enjoyed having sour cream to moisten things up. Fresh cut fries are a bonus too. I just can't give this burger high marks when my favorite thing was the pierogi they didn't even make (didn't make the burger patty either). I would eat this burger again, but it has to rank in the middle. We also tried their Syrian Plate $13.99 which came with thick warm pita, red pepper hummus, rice, spinach pie, salad and a kibbeh. They hadn't made the kibbeh yet (disappointing) so we got an extra hummus to replace it. I was not a big fan of this dish and did not eat any of the leftovers. We got their Chicken Paprikash $11 to take home. No issues reheating this in the oven, but the dumplings were too mushy for me and neither of us really cared for the sauce in this dish either. I've just had better for both meals elsewhere. HOWEVER, I would give this place a second try as the service was great and I'd love to eat more of those pierogies! Cool that they have several different pierogi themed dishes."

"We stopped here for breakfast. It is kind of confusing if where the restaurant is. You actually have to walk into the grocery store to get into the restaurant. I have never seen anything like it - it is pretty unique. The breakfast was very good. Good portion size. The service was pretty slow and the waitress was not very attentive."

"First impressions are very positive. Tried this place for the first time today. I was impressed with a clean and OPEN dining room.The cashier was particularly friendly and patient with me. As i explained I had never been in before and was not sure what to order. We finally decided on Bacon Deluxe Butterburger and Crispy Chicken Sandwich with Onion Rings and Fries respectively. We also got vanilla frozen custard with peanut butter. All told the meal was $26.77 which was admitted on the high end of what I might expect to spend.That said the food was excellent. I particularly enjoyed the Bacon Deluxe Butterburger and Onion Rings.I would definitely suggest a visit here."

"All of my favorite cocktail bars have become way too popular. I blame Yelp and I blame myself for raving about them on Yelp but regardless, my point is that the best cocktail bars generally become known about town... so my question is why this place hasn't? Honestly, I never would have even considering stopping in this place from the street view. There's a glowing neon blue light making it look like the divey sort of place you don't really want to wander in aimlessly. However, after arriving 15 minutes early for a reservation at Ushabu, we were encouraged to stop in here for a drink by the hostess while waiting out our reservation. The symbiosis ended up working out really well as we felt immediately welcomed into the space by the bartender, Elenny. Elenny is exactly the type of bartender that everyone wants to return to... personable without being nosy, kind without being smarmy and she makes a kickass cocktail. It turns out that all their specialty cocktails are designed by her! We chose two, and were really impressed with both of them. One of them had a mild balsamic undertone which was really understated, but a welcome surprise! Elenny was aware of the fact that we had a short time to enjoy our cocktails and had our check ready to go when we were, which is MUCH appreciated as most diners hate being held captive by the check most of all. We unfortunately didn't have a chance to try the food, but honestly I'd return here just for the cocktails as there's a really mellow vibe that makes me want to revisit. Will I come to regret writing this Yelp review when I return to find this place has become overcrowded just like my other favorite cocktail bars? Perhaps, but it's worth it as I'm thankful I was referred over there by the host next door and I do hope others will give it a try as well."

"AMAZING! My experience is limited to the food truck only and I love it! I do my best to find it on Friday afternoons at the Free Stamp fir Food Truck Friday's! The catfish boy is so fresh and delicious, extra sauce on your fries is the way to go! If you haven't given the truck a try, follow them online and run don't walk, the rib tips, wings, fries w sauce are calling your name! Oh and did I mention the service is great, friendly and happy to see you!"

"We loved the pizza here, but the service is subpar. We ordered the rustica pizza, which i'd definitely recommend. Plenty of options for vegetarians as well. The waiter (same curly mustache waiter as others have described) was quite rude. I'm not sure if it was because my husband and I are younger or if it was race but he ignored us the majority of the night but was extremely attentive to an older Caucasian couple seated next to us. It was apparent the place was understaffed and buzzing with both take out orders and dine in patrons, so initially I had attributed the inattention to that. However, after watching the interactions with the other patrons it was pretty evident there was more to the story. It took over an hour for the pizza to come out. It's a shame since the pizza was excellent, the location is quite convenient and the restaurant interior and patio itself is lovely. Would only recommend this place for take out, or if there is a change in wait staff."

"OK. So we broke up with our last Chinese takeout because we began having trust issues. So my wife, the reason for my recent breakup, decided that it was time for us to try again. So we did. I was a bit surprised that every thing came out ok...General TSO, Shrimp fried rice, egg rolls, and the crab rangoon were pretty good. My daughter didn't like the bourbon chicken, but shame on her for getting fancy at a new spot. Here to trying to love again."

"We knew we came to the right place as soon as we walked in as we were greeted warmly by the most friendly staff. Our staff was outstanding. After we were seated, we were also greeted by the restaurant manager. Wow! This was a great experience for us. The food comes in large portions, served hot and was delicious. My order was not done right the first time around but boy, the staff made sure it was done right the second time. The restaurant itself is clean and is decked out in beautiful decor."

"One of my favorite things to go out and get is hibachi as it's always a good time no matter what!Coming here has been a long time in the making as it's just one place at Cedar Point that I've always wanted to go but needless to say it was kinda a let down like the majority of the rest of the food at this park.Like our food was yummy but it definitely ranks to the lower side of the better hibachi places I've been to over the years as your paying resort prices for average food.Of the different options I went with the steak and shrimp combo as it just sounded good and wile it totally was I found it to be ok nothing like another place in the area that I've gone to a handful of times.Both the steak and the shrimp were cooked just the way I like them along with the fried rice and the veggies but the real downside here was they didn't give anyone else at our table shrimps like every other hibachi place I've ever been to has I thought that was strange but it is what it is when your at a resort.They did however shoot sake into our mouth as they counted down which was awesome as always because who doesn't like a free shot!The clear soup was very watery and just not that great all around as it didn't really have much flavor to it.The sake glasses here were definitely on the smaller side too from the ones I've had before but again they are only open half the year and I guess they have to profit somewhere.Overall average hibachi with high prices that even your season pass won't get you a discount on either way I guess you pay to be at Breakers here no much else highly doubtful I'll be here again but who knows!"

"I had the Reuben. It was awesome! The Rye was grilled to perfection. Crispy and crunchy. Just the right combination of corned beef, dressing and sauerkraut. They give plenty of corned beef, but it is the right proportion to eat in one meal.Had a bag of chips and can of diet Vernors ginger ale.While there they had Hamantaschen cookies. They were great."

"I came here for dinner. The pizza was good, delicious thick crust with just the right amount of sauce and lots of pepperoni on the pizza (more than the average). Customer service was excellent, and the only drawback to this is the price, it's a little pricy for pizza. Overall good !"

"What a fantastic dining experience. From the moment Joseph greeted us and seated us at a fantastic table, the pleasure was ours! Our server, Pam, was professional, friendly, and made our lunch seamless. We ordered both Lobster Bisque and clam chowder as our starters. Thankfully Pam gave us the choice of a cup or bowl. The cup of this luscious richness was enough to not spoil the mains. We ordered the swordfish salad, salmon on a plank, and a lobster roll. Each dish was perfection. A shared crème brûlée finished the meal. Every element was exceptional.I haven't mentioned the spectacular lake view! We visit Cleveland often (our son moved here from California) and Pier W has earned our love! We will return often! Reservations are recommended, and dress code is business casual. "Nice spot in downtown Amherst where you can always enjoy a cocktail. Especially entertaining is karaoke night every Wednesday with DJ, Sean Gabriel. Always a fun time and good variety of music. Sean will sing sometimes, which is also a great treat! Bartenders are attentive and friendly."

"A good friend of mine recommended coming here specifically for their chicken Marsala. We had been talking about our experiences at various places in the area and that my husband still had not found something he loved here. She highly recommended La Pizzaria and said her wedding receptions was here because of the chicken Marsala.We had a date night and decided to try it out. If my husband could have a review of just his dinner, he'd give it five stars. However, there were a lot of other things going on that caused the two stars.First... the service was lousy. When I asked our server for recommendations, as we'd never been here, she said "oh I don't know... the seafood is good, and so are the steaks... and the pasta." Like completely generic and not helpful all.We started with the bruschetta bc of fellow Yelpers saying its good and it was just ok. Not the best I've ever had but not the worse either.I got the French Onion soup to start and it was completely bland. With a $3 up charge to have it instead of salad, it was overpriced, underwhelming, and not worth it.Our dinners were good. My husband LOVED his Marsala but my lasagne was just ok. Not too flavorful and a ginormous portion. I had enough to have again for dinner a few nights later.As soon as we were done we asked for boxes and the check and we then sat for over 20 minutes waiting for our waitress to return. My husband had to hunt her down bc we needed to leave and had wasted a half hour just waiting for boxes and our check.Overall my husband would go back, but I'm not sure if I will. It's too expats take kids ($8 kids meals that don't include a drink) and it was a rather expensive dinner for what we got."

"I was in the area this morning, waiting to get some work done on my car, and heard a diner was nearby with good food.In my opinion, diner breakfasts typically go one of two ways. 1) Super plain food, dingy atmosphere, and staff that aren't very happy to be serving or in a hustle to get anything for anyone. Or 2) which is the rare, friendly, and attentive staff who is hustling to get food out hot and timely while still maintaining cleanliness. JT's fits the latter role. It has a great ambiance with lighting and just the right volume on the radio. Super clean. Friendly staff. And delicious food!This is the first diner where the chicken was crispy without being dry, and the coleslaw wasn't some premade sloppy-as-hell-shit with no flavor. My wife's hash browns were cooked perfectly, as crispy as they should be.I would highly recommend this placeto anyone. Heads up about the owner, Teena...She is loud, and talks to customers in a way that some reviewers have complained is aggressive, inappropriate, and rude.Anyone who doesn't have a stick up their ass will see that this is just her playing around and standing up to make herself her brand. That's called marketing folks. Making yourself known through customers discussing you establishes your brand and draws business. So, get your panties out of a bunch and enjoy the place!!"

"Loved the decor and mood inside. Super cozy. My friend and I came on a Friday night and got lucky to get two seats at the bar. I would definitely recommend getting a reservation. Not on the menu, but we asked the bartender to make two NY Whiskey Sours. Warm bread was served. We shared the wedge salad that was good. I got the salmon that was cooked perfectly. My friend got the Paprikash and she really enjoyed it. Staff was all very nice. Can't wait to come back and bring my husband."

So the inverse to that statement is "thank goodness for the new donut shop in North Ridgeville Ohio". @mrsscottssweetsllc behind Get Go next to All Fired Up on Center Ridge Road is it just the right donut shop we need right now. They had me at fruity pebbles and kept me with Twix,Oreos, s'more's and all the other great concoctions they had that they call donuts. I was so excited I bought three dozen; one for my neighbors, one for the neighbor kids that were waking up from a sleepover and one for our household. My wife had the fruity pebbles and I had the chocolate with Reesie's cup and peanut butter. Both were #delicious , both were cake donuts and I even went back for seconds. They also have Macarons and cupcakes and cake pops. Definitely worth stopping into the next time you're going by. remember to #shoplocal"

"Wednesday night college nights are absolutely awesome! i went for the first time this week and enjoyed hanging with friends. almost every song has a line dance to it and nobody judges you for trying to catch on!! as someone who is under 21 i promise you can still have fun! great time and wonderful hang out or date idea!!"

"It's your typical suburban sports bar. Tons of seating, TV's, and a few pool tables. This place has expanded over the years and has only gotten better. The menu is pretty big, diverse, and they have daily specials. Full service bar with plenty of craft beer on hand to keep the beer snobs happy."

"One of the absolute best bars you are going to find in Conneaut Ohio. I'm not talking like a local dive bar, I'm talking about enjoying some nice whiskey, some nice wines, and a very extensive bottled beer selection. The food is all delicious, I have yet to have a single meal that has not been good. I will strongly encourage getting a burger if you like cheese burgers. They're delicious. They are also very supportive of law enforcement and have a wonderful patch wall that I was happy to donate to. The owners are very pleasant people and always willing to help and answer questions. The bartenders are always great conversationalists. My only complaint about the establishment is the size, it is very cozy. They do not have seating like you'd find in a large Texas road house type restaurant. They do have a very nice heated patio though! Though the chairs are pretty uncomfortable especially for a bigger person but I suppose that's personal preference."

"This was "J" of dating through the alphabet. We arrived right when they opened on a week night so we were the only ones there. Right away we loaded up the jukebox. $1/3 tunes. They have a very eclectic mix of music. Of course we got the pierogies with Kielbasa. Delicious. Pierogies made on-site with carmelized onions. Buttery goodness. Old style kielbasa was done to perfection, tender and tasty. We also got the pimento dip (Kentucky Derby eat your heart out). It was served with crackers, pickled onions and Jalopeno discs. Soooooo good. Lots of local beers, both draft and bottled as well as a few specialty cocktails. Parking is a bit of a challenge in this neighborhood so be patient or better yet Uber in. Dog friendly! Great ambience and friendly service"

"It's amazing to finally have Yemeni food right here in Toledo! This spot has friendly service and a really cool ambiance, with a big fountain in the center of the first room, which has the cash register and several tables as well. Casual ambiance, they put down single-use plastic tablecloths to help keep things clean. They have an additional large dining room as well, but the two times I've been here, they haven't been busy enough to seat people there.If, like me, you prefer your meat without bones, then my top recommendation is the fahsah (lamb stew). It is extremely good. Very hearty flavor, large portion, and goes great with the big flatbread that comes with it. Comes out bubbling hot in a stone bowl. All other meat entrees contain bones. I tried one of the chicken and rice dishes, the one with potatoes. It was also good, but not as good as the fahsah. They have two kinds of spiced tea. I've been getting the slightly more expensive one, which comes with milk, and is delicious. The mango lassi is good, and they have some other interesting looking beverages that I haven't tried yet. I also haven't tried out the desserts yet, as the entrees are quite filling. I expect I'll be a regular here."
