Incredibly freshly baked sourdough bread. Have been getting them every weekend for carbs before I workout each morning. Workouts have been so much more effective and energetic! Can't say enough how pleased I am!

Well, let's see. I told wifey that I would be kind because she don't like it when I'm brutally honest . But people want to know the truth and it also helps in making better business changes.Wifey saw a lot of stars and wanted to come see why all the fuss was about. It was a wait but not to bad. While I was waiting I popped into their bakery next door. Lots of goodies in there that's for sure.About 15mins we were called to be seated. It was wifey and our youngest daughter. Both serious foodies As we were seated the server gave us three plastic cups of water... that was odd because they were like cups you give people that stop by for free water. We noticed that everyone else had gotten glass jars I didn't want to make too much of it so we looked at the menu and ordered. Wifey had the Dutch Boy. She loved it was just right for her. The lemon curd was a good combination. It was very different but tasty.Baby girl had the croissant, not sure which but it had eggs on it. And she said the egg was a bit over cooked.I had the Croque Madame and it was good. Just a little too much salty cheese. And the ham really didn't do it for me. Just a personal thing. I wouldn't order it again. The one thing that was a bit odd was the extra charge if we wanted hot sauce so we opted for the free Tabasco sauce .I actually saw a few plates found by with the same sandwich half eaten. It really wasn't a lot so maybe they just didn't care for it either. As a chef, I try not to be too hard on fella chefs. It's a French type setting and I'll just blame it on that it's French. Taste buds are totally different. I may be back...M&M

Great find, will definitely visit again when on the area! Me and my friends went for brunch on a weekday and had a great experience. This spot (as you could probably tell from the name) is both a separate bakery and a full restaurant. There also happens to be a coffee shop with the same name just down the block so don't get them confused for eachother like we did. Service was great, and food tasted fantastic. I personally got the nutella and peanut butter crepe and not only did it taste amazing, but the presentation was superb. They had a nice list of specialty drinks that we all tried, and each tasted delicious with once again the cutest presentation! The only thing I wasn't the biggest fan of was the fact that two of our friends decided to split a sandwich, and they were charged a $3 fee for this.... for just slicing a sandwich in half lol something we very well can do at the table but just for convenience sake they mentioned.

Had a friend in town visiting and we decided on Clayton's for brunch. We were so glad we did because we had a wonderful experience all around. Although it was nice outside, we sat inside at a cute little table with views of the back patio. We ordered the breakfast wrap, avocado toast, side of fruit, blueberry muffin and coffees. By the time everything we ordered came there wasn't an inch to spare on our little table and we were trying to find extra dishes to hand back to the waitress. We enjoyed every bite of the meal and were stuffed by the end, but the entrees stole the show. The breakfast wrap was very filling, stuffed with hearty ingredients, and a large portion in my opinion. The avocado toast was pretty standard, but hit the spot. They weren't very busy at the time and the service was a bit relaxed/slow, but we didn't mind as we weren't in a rush and were enjoying having a leisurely bite while catching up. I look forward to coming back and trying more items on the menu here. They have a lot to choose from between the restaurant and the bakery.

Kinda pricey but the pastries look absolutely delicious and they have more unique flavor combos you can't find easily (the crème brûlée cookie was yummy but a little too sweet).

Well executed sweets. Such a cute place with a wide variety of baked goods!! Brownie was not too sweet and oh we loved the Madeleine raspberry sandwich. So fluffy and pretty!!

Clayton's overall was solid, excellent food. You can't go wrong with ordering the French Onion Soup. Our waitress was very attentive and the setting would remind you of a rustic French cafe. P

Charming patio Front and back and very dog friendly. Delicious food - highly recommend the Açaí bowl and the beignets and our dogs can vouch for the bacon! Nice iced coffee. Friendly attentive service. We will be back !

Delicious place for breakfast. The chorizo wrap was huge and quite tasty. The dutch pancakes were loved by all. All the food was good. Huge portions so you could consider sharing. Service was fast and friendly. Outside area was a nice place to sit. I would definitely go again...some of my family members did go 2x in the same week.

Delicious food and beautiful setting. Of course it's San Diego! The only complaint we have is that the service was a tad slow. Not bad just a little bit. Bakery goods were also excellent. We had two soups and a sandwich and everything tasted fabulous.
