City Tap House

The service is always solid and the performers are awesome, but the food is pretty average and in some instances underwhelming for the price. It's a Buffalo Bills bar so that gets it an additional star from me.

My partner and I stopped here for a quick lunch after checking into our hotel. This was probably around 2pm on a Sunday. The restaurant wasn't busy at all so we were seated immediately. The good: The service was decent. Food took a little longer than expected to come out, but our server was prompt whenever we needed something. The fries were good. They tasted like they were made fresh instead of frozen. The ambience inside the restaurant is nice, they have large sliding glass windows so you can take in the sights and sounds of the city while you eat. The not-so-good: We both ordered the Nashville Chicken Sandwich. Listen, I will never claim to be a Nashville-style chicken aficionado, but this was not Nashville chicken. It was just a hot chicken sandwich. And an okay one at that. The chicken was pounded inconsistently. Some areas of meat were super thin, while others were thick. And the sauce was lathered on too heavily. The chicken was sliding out of the bun constantly. There were a couple other items on the menu which sounded good, so I would maybe come back to try those; but with the plethora of dining options in Nashville it would be a tough sell.

Stopped by for a quick lunch on a Sunday after arriving to Nashville for a week. Ordered the Nashville chicken sandwich and it was just fine. For a chicken sandwich it was good. But for a Nashville chicken sandwich, not very memorable. There was no heat at all, and the chicken was incredibly thin, as shown in the photo. Fries were definitely fresh cut and tasted great. They weren't crispy but they didn't taste stale or soggy, just that type of fry that's cut fresh and cooked up. Sandwich was served with a truffle aioli that was delicious, I could eat a tub of it. It was a nice cloudy day and they had the big windows open, which seemed like a great appeal at first. Until several homeless people began hanging out right outside horsing around throwing trash around. One homeless man who was not in a proper state of mind (talking to himself and twitching) even came up to the window where two women were sitting and they were clearly unnerved and uncomfortable. None of the staff addressed the issue.

Went on the rooftop at 5:30 to eat. Bartender doesn't come back to check on us if we need more drinks..he is not that busyOrdered food at 6. It was 50 minutes later and we got our food. Ridiculous

Our first restaurant after a long day of travel and we were not disappointed. We were absolutely starving & this was central to where we stayed. The steak was tender and that garlic butter was amazing. The drinks were good & so was the service! We enjoyed our experience and would recommend.

Great drink selection, tried several ciders and the husband had a craft lager and the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich, all good stuffsports bar with good music

Can't leave anything but a stellar review for this place! We stayed for a long while because we were catching up after some time and the staff was all very accommodating, patient and friendly. We asked if we could order a 1/2 and 1/2 pizza and they were so nice about it, they said normally they won't do it unless it's slow enough. We got 1/2 Maui chicken and 1/2 four fathers pizza. Both halves were super tasty! Super comfortable vibe, would totally recommend.

City Tap House in downtown Nashville is a fantastic spot! The food was amazing, and the drinks were on par. We sat in the bar area since it was a crowded Thursday night. Despite the crowd, the service was great. I especially loved the Swift Kelce 2024 flag above the kitchen door. I'll definitely be coming back!

Picture it, two guys driving to Nashville to meet up with a friend on a Friday evening and trying to find a place to eat. Downtown is going to be crazy! Well my friend suggested getting on open table and we found this place on there and made ourselves a reservation for a good dinner time. We meet our friend and get there and we are greeted very friendly like from our waiter. Definitely a great guy who helped us out a lot. Really surprised the place did not seem full considering the rest of downtown Nashville is usually just chocked full on a Friday in late summer. The ambience was great and just a fun place. Our food was pretty damn good! We literally just got tons of appetizers and just thoroughly enjoyed them all. My favorite was probably the margarita pizza. Check out my photo and you'll see all the top notch food. We thoroughly enjoyed it!

The overall experience was fine - the server was good, but the food was very average. The pepperoni pizza had wayyy too much seasoning - all you could taste was the chili flakes and oregano. Espresso martini was pretty good.
