This place is beautifully decorated. It shares a corridor with the Lenox Hotel lobby. For it to be so beautifully designed I was surprised it wasn't busier on a Saturday morning.Although I had a reservation I think I could have walked in and been seated with no issue. The menu had some pretty tasty options and I set my sights on the Steak Frites. The servers were friendly but admittedly just a bit forgetful. Although the restaurant wasn't busy there were larger parties which may have taken the servers attention. I would definitely come back for the reasonable price point and ambiance alone. There were some more menu items I wanted to try.

Really delicious food and great service. We had drinks, the octopus appetizer, and each ordered the chicken. Both the appetizer and the main were delicious - especially the chicken with the mushroom purée, cooked celery, and brown gravy (had a rich and decadent Thanksgiving vibe). I feel like whomever prepared the meal really cared about food and cooking. Very happy meal.

Came to City Table for Mother's Day brunch and had a great time! The service was great as usual, they made sure our waters were filled and we had everything we needed. The restaurant is located in the Lenox Hotel so it has a really nice atmosphere. We got the pancakes, french toast, and home style breakfast. Portions are a little small but everything was reasonably priced and everyone enjoyed their meals!

We decided to try out City Table for restaurant week (Dine Out Boston). We were seated quickly but no one came to our table for probably over 10 minutes. When the woman who sat us down realized this, she quickly came over apologized a few times and took our order. This place is dim lit and has a nice vibe to it. They are opened late nights and also have a late night menu after 11pm. They play good music too. Everything we had off of the menu was SO GOOD. I've never had French onion soup before because I never thought I would like something like that but it was delicious. I typically don't eat mussels either (just something I never thought I'd like) but let me tell you! *inserts chefs kiss* The steak was perfect, the mash, veggies, fish, dessert and drinks were all amazing. I can't think of one negative thing to say about any of it! I would definitely come back here to try their brunch next. 10/10 recommend!

This is for breakfast and brunch: outstanding eggs Benedict, French Toast, biscuits and gravy, and their bacon. Great customer service and very hip upscale decor. This is an absolute no brainer, you will love it. Ate there 3 days in a row while staying at the Lennox Hotel. I do not know about anything other than the breakfast and brunch, but it is served late 1:00ish

We came for the restaurant week menu and had a great time. It's a bit dark in there so prepare your flashlights for the menu! Food came out a bit slow but servers were attentive and kind.We started off with their clam chowder, steak tacos, and fresh oysters. Everything was delicious and seasoned wonderfully. I have no complaints and would recommend the clam chowder if you are struggling to pick an app.For entrees we got steak frites and their seared salmon. The steaks were cooked perfectly and came with a delicious mountain of parmesan garlic fries. We ate those plates clean. The seared salmon was also cooked perfectly. The bottom was crispy and the inside was flaky and soft. We ended our meal with carrot cakes and a chocolate mousse. If I could go back, I would've skipped the chocolate mousse and gotten three carrot cakes instead of two. The carrot cake wasn't too sweet and was the perfect blend of spices and textures. Their cream cheese frosting was also delicious and it brought the cake together.

Came here for dinner with coworkers during a conference in Back Bay. They conveniently had last minute reservations! The vibe inside was modern, and it was hoppin even on a Thursday night. There's an entrance through the adjoining hotel and from Exeter Street. Bar was packed all night! My coworkers reported that the signature cocktails were good. We were a little 50/50 on the food. The Burrata pizza I ordered was tasty but didn't feel very special for the price. The soft pretzels in the other hand were delicious! I'm on a bit of a soft pretzel kick, so I order them whenever I see them! These were fluffy inside and perfectly salted. And I'm not gonna lie - this is one of the best beer cheese sauces I've encountered. The pretzels are not to be missed. The food here is definitely expensive considering what you're getting, but it's Boston so I get it.

Honestly the food was exactly what my family was looking for! We got standard breakfast foods that were cooked perfectly and delicious. Very classic. However the atmosphere and the service were not up to par. The atmosphere was as if you were in an airpot hotel breakfast restaurant. Not great. And service was very poor until we said something about not being checked on for 20 minutes. But, again, food was really delicious.

Had a dinner reservation this evening for my boyfriend and his family. When we arrived, we were seated right away. Our server came over and greeted us, she was a little, timid, but friendly. Our drinks came out pretty quickly one of us ordered a pear martini, which she had to send back because it was too sweet. The second one was better but it was warm. She actually had to add ice cubes from her water to chill it.I ordered the brie burger which was cooked medium just as I had requested. The burger itself was really good but I felt the toppings especially the brie, were lacking. If you're going to call it a brie burger, i shouldn't have to hunt for the brie. Fries that came with it were good. My boyfriend ordered the chicken focaccia, the chicken itself was very good, but the portion of micro greens that came with it were extremely small. Asparagus was cooked well and underneath the chicken soaked up all the chicken and sauce goodness, but it was so tiny. With all the amazing options to eat in back bay, I think next time his parents are in town we'll go elsewhere.

Everything we ordered was amazing! The hot pretzels were perfectly baked, the homemade chips were perfectly flavored, the flatbread pizza was outstanding, and the steak frites had the most amazing sauce! Loved it so much we went twice during our visit to Boston! Highly recommend!
