I was intrigued and wanted to try the pizza here because from the looks of the photos, it was similar to a south shore bar style pizza. This is hard to find north of the city and I was hoping for the best! I ordered a Hawaiian pizza to go. When I got home and opened the box, I was happy to see that it indeed looked like a South Shore pie! Crispy edges where you would typically see crust, and there was a considerable number of toppings on it. The flavor was there, and it fulfilled my pizza craving! I recommend giving this place a shot if you are in the area!

I've only ever had delivery from this cafe, but I'll say that I have never been let down. If you're in no mood to leave the house for your next meal, and might be craving a few comfort food items, I recommend ordering delivery from City Slicker Cafe. I personally have been enjoying their pastas on the rainiest of days and nights these past few weeks. Ordered dinner online to be delivered two nights ago. After an hour and a half, I called to check on the order, and was told it had been delivered. I asked where it had been delivered, and the person said he'd call the driver and get back to me. That call never came, so an hour later I called back, and was told they would reverse the charges on my card. That has not happened, either. Nor at any time was an apology given for the inconveniences.I don't care how good the food is, and I will never know because of the complete lack of service shown to me. And I live right down the street from this place! Incredible!

Years ago I feel in love with the pizza at the Urban Gourmet in Somerville. I heard the recipe transitioned to CS Cafe once the UG closed. I ordered a large cheese pizza a few years back from CS Cafe and it wasn't the same. I decided to try again with a small cheese pizza and it WAS the same! Indescribable crust, chewy, crispy and buttery. Similar to a South Shore bar pizza. IYKYK. Will go back again soon- thank you CS Cafe!!

I've lived pretty close to City Slicker for many years but have only stopped in a handful of times. It always seems pretty empty in here but I guess they do a solid takeout/delivery business. Recently I had the "city girl" pizza with portobello mushrooms, caramelized onions, and gorgonzola cheese. Great combination! Definitely on the salty and greasy side but I'm not complaining. The cheese blend and sauce are good. The pizzas are "pan pizza" style, so they look and taste a little different from your typical pizza. The crust is crispy rather than chewy and they cook it to golden brown, but you can request a lighter bake if you want.They also offer many other options like sandwiches, pasta, and salads. Overall, City Slicker is not necessarily what I'd go for every time I'm craving pizza--Leone's is still my favorite pizza in Somerville--but definitely a good option to throw into the rotation!

was on a zoom meeting when our manager mentioned that she was making pot roast for dinner, which reminded me that it had been a while.i live on winter hill and remembered that of my favorite places way back -- urban gourmet had become city slickers. decided on the pot roast entree. came with a roll two sides -- got mashed and spinach -- all were delicious.prices are fair, delivery was prompt. i live alone and will be back entrees i wouldn't make just for myself -- looking forward to trying the meat loaf, garlic steak tips, and pork cutlet milanese.

Nothing beats the City Girl Pizza from City Slicker. I used to order it SO often, one day a driver took my order over the phon, and laughed cause he recognized my order and address. Haven't had much else from here.

A week ago or so I went in and grabbed 2 slices, first time there and I thought the slices were awesome so couple nights later I order them for dinner for few different things and everything was so awesome. Have definitely found a new place to go for some really good pizza and wings!

My absolute favorite takeout in the area. I've ordered from so many different areas of the menu and am rarely disappointed. Some standouts are the mashed with gravy, the pasta with chicken, cream sauce and broccoli, the bistro pizza, and the caesar salad wrap. When you order on Uber eats, the delivery comes straight from the business, so you'll have to watch your phone for updates (calls or texts). The delivery is usually very quick and everything comes at the perfect temperature. Go support this business, they deserve it!
