Loved this market with fresh everything seafood. Smoked salmon available to take home. The market was clean and the employees were happy to help and answer questions.

1 star for existing. -4 stars:-1: Condescending man who mansplained this is a "grocery" after us inquiring if there is anything ready to eat fresh and that was a preposterous idea . (Which there absolutely is everywhere,Lol). Thanks, gee, never been in an open air market before. I'm from Mars; no other open air markets exist anywhere outside Pike Place in the entire US.-1: Lecturing me I need to pay tourist tax and eat in restaurants, not the market. LOL. Have been all week and every time I'm here, sport. Probably would have tipped you too. -1: Providing incorrect info.: shrimp is clearly ready to eat fresh. Also, looking at Yelp, it's clear they used to serve ready to eat food. -1: smug AF.Very unwelcoming business makes you feel bad to spend your hard earned $ here. So, we didn't. Peace, smug fish guy.

This is my go to every time I fly into Seattle. Of all the fresh seafood in the market this is by far the best. I get a couple Dungeness cups and their candied salmon is killer. The service is always on point and I get a laugh from the guy that runs it. I promise it's well worth it to skip all the others.

Do not cheat yourself! Visiting this seafood stand is a MUST when you visit Pikes! Ever since our fist visit, I knew anytime I came back to Seattle that this would be a must do. They sell the freshest seafood and will pack it up and ship anywhere in the US! On top of that - they also have fresh seafood for eating. The jumbo shrimp cocktail is always so sweet and succulent. The crab cocktail is even better - the crab is huge lumps and pieces, some of the sweetest crab you will ever have. And I don't know what they do that make their oyster shooters so amazing but they will leave you wanting more.

I typically never write yelp reviews, but I hate being lied to.I asked if they can have the Dungeness crab cooked for me since I was going to eat it here and was told they can and it would take a few . After waiting about 5 minutes was handed over a frozen Dungeness crab despite specially having been promised they could cook it. They told me to take it down to the Chinese restaurant and they would cook it. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I could have just gone there to order the crab if that's what I wanted to do. RIDICULOUS. Then the guy subsequently changes his tune and says "it's cooked." It was frozen from display and just wrapped it in paper. IT WAS NOT COOKED.Don't let these guys lie to you it cooked, warm seafood is what you expect. They could have just told me they don't provide that service, instead they just LIED to me straight up

Here's all you need to know about City Fish: you're in, you're out, and you have fresh seafood that you can enjoy on the waterfront. The oyster shooters are 2 for $5, and the shrimp and crab cocktails are $10 each, and all are cash only so forget your cards and bring the dolla dolla billzzz, y'all! Like I said, service is super quick - you tell them what you want, they bag it up, and you're on your way to some incredibly yummy and fresh seafood to chow down on. Obviously, it's not a full on restaurant, so you'll just have to make due with standing or do what I did, and settle up on the curb and take your oyster shooters while people watching. Seriously, there's not a bad thing to say about City Fish. It's easy and you get great value!

SO SO FRESH WOW. It's a little packed in the area but there wasn't a wait.I ordered the $20 Shrimp Cocktail-- The shrimp was so thick and juicy--perfect texture. I'd definitely share it with someone because I couldn't finish it by myself. The service was real quick and it's cute because they put your change/receipt in a tennis ball at the register behind the fish, and throw it to the worker in the front. The guys in the front were so friendly and gave me an honest recommendation to get the best bang for my buck. The shrimp cocktail sauce was great and you can't go wrong, really. I just brought the shrimp to the mini park with that tall statue and had a mini picnic for myself. Fresh seafood & fresh air wow. I also got a oyster shot which was SO GOOOOOOD-- they basically just use the shrimp cocktail sauce but it was so refreshing omg. The oyster is huge too! I'd come back for sure.

The oyster shooters were great. The guy in front of them (bald, big and loud) was a tool. To be fair, the one behind the counter seemed much nicer but he isn't the one talking to most of us. I actually read a review on here to skip the other fish throwing popular spot to give these guys a chance - I very excitedly took our group over. I had mistakenly thought the oysters were able to be shucked - I got a very snarky response to the tune of "nope, good luck with that. We don't do that here" and I just had a bag of whole oysters. I mean not the worst problem but as a literal first time visitor to Seattle nonetheless a fish market who just didn't know, the condescending crap was so unnecessary. The attitude, the spot, just gah. GO TO THE FLYING FISH SPOT. When I asked about the oysters there I got a kind response there that was "sure, just so you know we don't shuck them here because we don't have a food license so you'll need to go to a restaurant if you already want them on the half shell" boom. An easy, competent explanation. Simple as that. What a tool. Skip this place for sure - literally everyone else in the market was nice (even if they're tired of tourists). Why bother going to a spot that puts a dent in your day?

First time in Seattle, wanted to try the Dungeness crab hereWe ordered the pre-processed Dungeness crab in a cupTaste 0.5/1*Definitely some fresh crab, though not as sweet as expected, the sauce was a good complimentValue 0/1*Plenty of other places for crab just as goodService 1/1*Fast, friendly, no complaintCleanliness 1/1*It's a fresh seafood stall, as clean as it getsOverall/Revisit 0/1*No reason for another visitPaying for ambience? YES for the hypeAbove and beyond? +1/+1*The throwing fish was a nice gimmick, and the fact they yelled 'nice tip...oyyy' was a nice experience too

Very impressive team, City Fish has been my go to for fresh fish for a long time, but their new ownership/management has really stepped up and I think City Fish will be better than ever! Great web site for on line ordering - in fact, I think this is where I'll be doing my Christmas shopping this year. Great job guys.
