The residents who live near this store are fortunate. They have a wide variety of food and everything is made fresh. There is outdoor seating, which is enjoyable, if the weather is nice. The vibe is relaxed.

Half sandwich is 9.00 ... there's no half in anything it's more of a quarter sandwich. I had first, second, and third hand embarrassment receiving this "sandwich". You order a VLT full size for 15.00 and you have to pay 1.00 each for a piece of lettuce, cheese, ? The cashier was struggling to take an order. The ambience eh, I was worried about the bee that kept flying around us. This is a hard pass. I rather get a Cumbies sandwich any day over this shop.

I can't believe this place is still open. The sandwiches are laughably low quality. You want the worst sandwich in Boston? I've got you covered. Order a #5 and you can expect one *tiny* piece of rancid basil on a sandwich where basil is the whole selling point behind this $15 dollar sandwich.I have decided to boycott this place until they lower their prices or increase their quality. They've been this bad for at least 8 years now.

Great little neighborhood market! Excellent sandwiches and customer service. Fresh vegetables and fruits, good selection of grocery staples. The staff on the evening I went was friendly and I was happy to see a varied selection of Coffee (including George Howell Terrier). They have an area to enjoy your sandwiches facing the street, high counters as well as table tops very comfortable and cozy. Street parking can be challenging... or at least it was when I went and I appreciate the fact they were open later. Respectfully Reviewed.

Delicious VLT. A blt out the b. Smokey flavored tempeh with a barbecue sauce on multigrain bread lettuce and tomato.Large sandwich for 12.00 includes tax. . Half for 7. The large sandwiches worth it you can wrap it and take it home if you can't eat all of it. it pings all the things about a sandwich that I like the bread being major and a good fillingThey have many coffees to order other sandwiches and breakfast items. Also some grocery items in the store. I like the vibe here it's laid-back you go to the counter and order and take it to a seat or take out. I want to come back and try another sandwich.

Fresh produce. Kitchen staples. Fresh pies on Fridays. Local. Prices are high and keep inching higher. Coffee bar and salads and sandwiches. Call ahead for sandwiches as they can take a while to make at peek times. Employees are generally friendly and hard working.

I've been going here for the last 15 years and absolutely adore this JP neighborhood spot. I always get the number 12 roast beef untoasted and a sticky bun and a few groceries like some local cheese or a loaf of bread. The sandwich prices are a bit steep but I enjoy the fact that they use iggy bread and partner with local bakeries. The actual groceries and produce are on the steeper end with okay quality, I honestly think you'd get more for your buck at the Whole Foods down the street. Overall, a good local spot for some sandwiches (I recommend calling in to order your Sammie's ahead of time during lunch rush and the morning) and not a bad spot to grab some small things in a pinch.

Horrible customer service. I was waiting in line for 10 minutes, and the manger skipped me inline and served a white lady instead of me because I am Mexican even though he made eye contact with me several times the 10 minutes I was waiting so I could place my order. When I called him out on it he glared at me and said " GET TO THE FUCKING LINE KID". So I Did so taking the higher road. Terrible experience and horrible deli if you are a person of color or a younger then 18 please don't go they are ageist and racist.

What was once a beloved local institution has become an overpriced, rude embarrassment to the Jamaica Plain community. City Feed and Supply's downward spiral can be traced directly to the appalling attitudes and behavior of some of its staff, particularly the bald, inconsiderate sandwich maker who flicks his cigarette butts around the surrounding neighborhood like it's an ashtray.This grown man's shocking lack of respect for the very community that supports his employer is an insult to every resident who has to put up with his littering.Since the employees unionized, service has plummeted as a cavalier attitude of indifference has taken over. And the prices? They've skyrocketed to laughable highs. I had no issue with a small premium to support local business, but when it's paired with poor attitudes and disrespect of the neighborhood, it's one I can no longer supportIt pains me to denounce a place I used to frequent and support, but City Feed has forced my hand. With its alienating prices, compromised service, and utter disdain for the community, I can no longer spend my hard-earned money there.I hope the management wakes up, reinstills some pride and respect, and rehabilitates this fallen neighborhood gem before it's too late. But for now, I can't endorse supporting such blatant disregard for the very people who supported City Feed through thick and thin for decades.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

City feed tends to really skimp on the meat in sandwiches a lot, I had the prosciutto sandwich that legit had 3 slices of prosciutto on it one time. And also the sandwiches in general are fairly small for the price so there's only a few things in my opinion that are worth getting here... the #1 smoked turkey sando, or pretty much any of the drinks (drip coffee, iced coffee, barista made lattes and such). Everything else is a bit of a rip off. Go to Real Deal (just down the street a bit) for sandwiches
