City Dragon

I've reviewed before, but I just had to do it again. If you're old enough, you probably remember the Chinese restaurant your family used to go to on Friday nights to have a gathering - it was a big thing in the 1970's all over the country. It was a good feeling, good food and a good deal during the recessions and when our parents were spending all the money to put in the gas tank. Well, this is that - a place where you are greeted and get a good deal for great food. I live in Ramona - and the food is still hot when I get home. I spent yesterday at emergency and my husband stopped on the way home and got egg flower soup - it's my matzo ball soup. I was feeling much better after I ate it. He did have some trouble getting through on the phone, so he went in and ordered. They only have one person handling calls, so be patient, it's worth it. I cannot recommend this place enough. If you are trying to get more bang for your buck in these times when your dollar is worth less - this is the place to go. Easier to stop here on the way home from school, work, soccer practice - this is it. I started coming here twenty-years ago, if something bad had happened, it would have happened. Good food, timely, amazing. I love this place - you will, too. I would have included new pics, but I was dead to the world when my husband came home, I am feeling so much better this morning. Small little restaurant. Came here for some Chinese take out since I was craving dumplings. Ordered the beef fried rice and pork dumplings. I wasn't expecting it to be fried pork dumplings but should've known since it was an appetizer. The inside was juicy and flavorful, but I think I should've asked if they could l've made it steam. I think it would've been better that way. Just don't know if they have that as an option since I didn't ask. Their beef fried rice was good. Not too salty and the beef pieces were tender and not dry. Some restaurants that make beef fried rice can come out tasting dry. Service for the take out was fairly quick but it's because there wasn't anyone else in the restaurant when me and my friend went.

Food was really good and filling. Ordered early and picked up with no hassles. All the food was there and service was nice and respectful. Great place. Will order again.

Been coming here over 30 years and the food has always been good ! The orange chicken is always good along with their fried rice ! Give it a try it won't disappoint!

There's a reason why this place has been in business for so long. It's a local favorite and it's just the basic Chinese food take out restaurant that seats about six people. It has the flavors that everyone expects of an American Chinese fast food joint and just enjoys. The General Tsao's was more like a spicy orange chicken, the bbq pork had more broccoli than snow peas and the king pao tasted like what it should be but be forewarned, it has a lot of zucchini and bamboo shoots. It has a great lunch special and it's a great spot for a quick, inexpensive meals for busy people! Just don't expect anything fancy or exotic!

They've got some reaaaally good vegetable fried rice that is the best in the area along w their egg flower soup that is worth the price. It may be a bit bland at first, but that's the whole point. They leave it up to you to decide how much better you want it to taste! I added some salt. Just add the seasoning of your choice!

Great food, great value and very friendly service. We've been coming here for years and we're always happy.

This place used to have 5 stars with me. The food, service, and price all were great. I'm currently pregnant and we were coming a lot and then a dish that we order often tasted off. We didn't let them know which we should.

We ordered lunch there for 6 people in our office and we collectively all really disliked our food. The beef didn't taste like beef. Even the egg rolls (who can mess up eggs rolls) had a very weird taste to them. The wontons tasted like they may have been made days ago. We will not go back to the Chinese restaurant again! Don't waste our time and money. Greatly disapointed
