Ciro's Italian Grill

Came here for lunch and it wasn't crowded. The restaurant is big with lotsa indoor seating (first and second levels). There is outdoor seating too. There is quite a selection from the menu. I got the veal ossobuco from the lunch special, mini cannolis, and vanilla ice cream for dessert. The veal ossobuco came with a bed of risotto. The veal was super tender, and melted in the mouth. However, it lacked flavor. The risotto was cooked well but could have more flavor. The mini cannolis' shells were crispy but the fillings were tasteless. The vanilla ice cream was sweet and creamy. Overall the food could be better.

Very pleasant meal, great wait staff, reasonably priced! A little loud, cause it is a family restaurant.

Had dinner here on Saturday with family, we really enjoyed our food. Appetizers and dinner plates were large and tasty, we did have a bit of a wait so I would suggest making a reservation.

We loved this place! John served us on the patio and made sure we had the best experience for our friend's birthday. The espresso martinis were the perfect blend of sweet and coffee with cinnamon on the rim. All the food was great, highlights were fettuccine Alfredo and lasagna. They brought us out a delicious dessert for the birthday. The patio was covered and lively with heaters but still a great atmosphere!

I'm surprised that I didn't discover this Italian restaurant sooner. I discovered Ciro's while looking for a place to grab dinner with friends. You can't set up a reservation before 6 pm, but they were able to get our party of 7 seated fairly quickly. The staff was friendly and checked on us often. Our food arrived pretty quickly, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their choices. I didn't get a chance to try dessert, but I plan on returning to this location as there were plenty of items on the menu I want to try.

This is my second time here. Just not that impressed with this place, at all. For as much as they call themselves an "Italian" restaurant, I think the flavor is lacking terribly. The service was good and the decor is cool with the terracotta colored walls and wine bottle corked ceiling, but the food itself needs more... more garlic, more tangy balsamic vinegar, more flavor! The bread they start you out with is more like a pita pocket bread; a flakey baguette would be better. The dipping oil is bland; it needs some balsamic vinegar and garlic chunks. I ordered from the restaurant week options today. The Caesar salad was the most basic I have ever had; I've had better ones from non-Italian establishments. No tomatoes, no full-bodied dressing. My main course selection was the Spaghetti Cacio E Pepe (spaghetti tossed with pecorino cheese, black pepper, evo, butter and grilled chicken). Again, it was basic, like Olive Garden basic. I couldn't have been more disappointed. The chicken was tender and juicy, but no taste. The spaghetti was no thrills either. I ended with the strawberry gelato. Tasted like regular ice cream. The entire lunch was very subpar. I hate giving anything less than 4 starts. Very sad this didn't work out again. I gave it 2 tries, which is usually not my style, but it was a coworker lunch and I didn't have much choice. Hopefully, the owner will read these suggestions. I know good Italian food and sadly, this was not it either time.

Perfect balance of quality food, great service, and price. I think I've had one of everything on the menu, yet the consistent quality of chicken parm, fettuccini, salads, and soups makes this my Italian go-to. Also, one of the few (only) Italian places with an outdoor patio. Oh ya, add a carafe of chianti and close with gelato AND one of the best espresso martinis in town to make for a festive night.This "is" your parent's local comfort Italian go-to with an upscale vibe without all the extra trendy unnecessaries. Just consistently great food in a matching atmosphere. Been going for decades and still my absolute favorite in Houston.

Ciros is 'there'. Consistant, albeit not particularly creative or great Italian food. A stop above OliveGarden, Macaroni's and the like but a step down from 'good Italian'. I had a Ceaser salad (competent)but missing anchovies , and Eggplant Parmesan that for whatever reason came naturally with a side full plate of Fettucine Alfredo that ended up going home, it was a separate meal. The Eggplant P was okay, bordering on Good. Just not great.Experience, was okay. They did not seem to be able to get the heat right in the room. I was putting my coat on, and taking it off and contemplating taking my sweater off as well. I don't quite get why a dining area can't just be set around 72 degrees. It's not near a kitchen. I am also not a fan of large screen TVs in the dining area. I get the bar, but do we need it in the dining area.Wait staff very very, to the point of over attentive. Reaching for that last bit and the plate is being whisked away. asking if you want something while you are talking. Bill down in front of you if you don't;t order dessert.I think that is great service in some circles and i get it when the restaurant is crowded and they are trying to turn tables at high velocity. But not when a restaurant is half empty. Again, it's a service preference i think some people probably like it. In the end its , fine, it's okay. Reasonable priced , consistent food. Good for that Tuesday/Wednesday dinner out where you want to keep cost down and just want to get in and out with good enough food.

Gnocchi is by far my favorite dish here absolutely will be returning, the service is good but prepare for busy nights Friday & Saturday

Everything is delicious. Hugo is truly the boss awesome waiter. Way better than 5 stars.
