The menu looks limited. My wife and I prefer Scallops which is difficult to find at Asian eateries and selection is sparse. With so many options available for Chinese restaurants why sit and dine where we're not satisfied?!

Chinese restaurant located in a brick house in the middle of farm country. Inside is divided into a few area with seating. I think there is also a party/karaoke area in one end. Decor is a bit eclectic as well. Went there for a late lunch on a Saturday, and they were doing decent business. The menu is pretty interesting. It has the usual Americanized Chinese cuisine like orange chicken or Mongolian beef, but it also has some authentic items. Heard that the authentic cuisine is a subset of Cantonese cuisine that's pretty rare in North America, and some of the items I've never seen before. For the food, we got crispy fried chicken pieces, clay pot beef briskets, and stirred fried crisp grass carp slices. The chicken pieces is basically the Taiwanese style dish, and tasted pretty good, maybe slightly on salty side. The clay pot brisket had excellent flavor, but the beef could be a little softer. The star was the crisp grass carp slices. It's slices of fish, but the texture has a bit of crunch/crispiness. It's unlike any other fish I've ever had. The consistency is a little bit like squid or stir-fried fatty pork. Kind of bizarre, but tasted pretty good. Again, a very interesting Chinese restaurant. Would recommend trying their authentic items.

I've ordered several times and tried 7 different items. It's just not that good. Every dish is a little bland, or old. Nothing tasted fresh.

Ordered crispy rice, turnip pork belly slices, some kinda fish slices, and garlic vermicelli shrimp. A ton of people recommended this place to my wife so we came but the disappointment is enormous. This place is quite average. The best dish is the crispy rice, which came with a giant bowl of fragrant fried rice. Everything else is like wow this looks good then you taste it and you think "this could taste better". The portions here, while not massive, are decent and you will leave full.

Since my 5-Star review 6 months ago, I have ordered "to go" here five more times. Every meal has been absolutely delicious. Then I see a review by "Clayton J.", giving this restaurant a 2-Star, then downgrading to a 1-Star. I had to study all his reviews... finding that out of 729 reviews, 212 were 1-Star - 52 were 5-Star (mostly non-food related). Enough said!Yesterday I ordered:Chicken Chow MeinBeef BroccoliKung Pao ChickenSweet'n'Sour Spare RibsWon Ton Soup.Steamed Rice.I experienced the same quality as all previous meals (no need to repeat the reasons, read my previous review).I would add however, that the Won Ton Soup is also over-the-top, with rich chicken broth and huge won-tons (and other vegetables!)As always, I recommend you read the reviews of "Yelp Elites" who are chosen for our acumen and fair'n'balanced reviews. Yes, I'm a trained chef....still a 5-Star Restaurant......thank you!

There is a good vibe to the owner lady and the place.I only wish the interior was nicer and the ceiling was higher. This establishment looks like a French cafe from afar. Ample parking space and a patio section could be great in the summer. The path to enter leads through a simple garden and mini play area for children. The vibe is family, it's sincere and it's not pretentious even a little bit.The atmosphere is ok, lighting is great, and there are many sections that allow for some privacy. The food is great at this place. I was blown away by the quality and care kitchen put into the food. My goto dish is braised beef with turnips. Strongly recommended to people who like Chinese food. The type that differs from Panda Express and PF Chan's.

Great service and fresh food! Restrooms are reasonably clean. On their menu, they have an Americanized Chinese items as well as authentic Cantonese food! This is traditional style Chinese food where it's not too oily or saucy. The flavors come from the food itself. The fish balls are home made. I haven't had Chinese food this authentic in the Bay Area nor Houston - only in Guangdong! Large Eel Rice is 4x bigger than the small size but only cost 50% more.

Update: wanted to give Circle another chance, and so glad we did! New owners, new staff, new kitchen (that's what they told us), new menu. Food was excellent, great suggestion for a dish not on the menu, and good service all around!
