Absolutely the best meal I've had at a restaurant in several months. Service, food, and ambience, all five stars. I had the Malinalco and my wife ordered the Flautas and everything was absolutely amazing!

I waited to do this review, I went over the summer with friends and everything was awful. The server couldn't take a joke, so she ended up not coming back to our table. It was something along the lines of give us good service and you'll get a good tip, not really anything bad. Another guy had apologized for her and then he took over serving us.The food was terrible. Not anything I would recommend. The yucca was limp and is typically served like a French fry. Pork belly tocos wet blubbery and tasted not amazing. I only took one bite.We went to McDonalds on the way home.

My friend and I decided to try this place and it's very good Margaritas guacamole and tacos all very authentic and good. The only downfall the Al pastor taco was very fatty and hard to eat. The steak and chorizo taco delicious. The service was perfect and the restaurant is so clean and welcoming

10/10. I'm sorry Cincinnati has some pretty average Mexican food overall. Not this place. This place actually tastes authentic and they made me the best skinny marg with salt all from scratch. All 3 tacos were amazing but the fish taco was SUPERB. We will be back!!!

Greeted when I entered. I've been here before for drinks at the bar in the back. It's a fun place for dinner or drinks or both. An extensive menu with vegan options. That's what I love about dining here. A little something for all dietary needs. It's a great place with good food and creative cocktails and margaritas.

We have eaten here a couple of times and it has been fabulous each time. I have been trying different things each time and I have yet to be disappointed or even less happy with my choice. Try it. It is most definitely worth it.

Came here for the 1st time on a Friday night with my friend and her fiancé. I'm glad we came to try it out because it's such a cute find. I hope folks find out about it and give them more business. They opened right before covid so you can imagine the struggle but they have a great space and great location for all to stop by! When you walk in you see an adorable tiled bar with fun patterns. They have a comfy couch in the back corner as well and lots of bar space. Great for a casual hangouts and when you're feeling margaritas a day! ;)I was actually craving some ceviche and I saw that they had some for an appetizer. So I had to get that and my friend got the queso which is made with poblano peppers. Both appetizers were delicious. Also very filling as we waited for our other food. I got the Marisco Jalisco which was stuffed green peppers with shrimp and mahi mahi. The sea food dishes are all flavorful and taste fresh with the vegetables that go with. It was a lot of food so I had leftovers but so tasty. It felt healthy to get the peppers instead of tacos. For drinks I had tried a cocktail which had pineapple and Serrano pepper seeds to give a spicy and sweet balance. I will definitely be back for happy hours to have the tequila flights or margs! At the end of the night, my friend asked the bartender about the tiles and where they got them. Turns out it was the owner Alejandro! The hibiscus flower taco is named after him. Alex is from Chicago and he brings a modernized version of the food he grew up eating. It was nice talking with him for a bit and spending some time to enjoy the decor.Looking forward to see what happy hour specials they have and spend more time at Zapata Cantina!

This was our first visit to Zapata and we enjoyed our food! We had queso with chips for starters which were fresh and tasty! Our entrées were Marisco Jalisco and Malinalco. Both were very delicious and had nice portions of food on our plates! We had a couple of cocktails which were a little weak...our only disappointment. Our waitress was a little slow and forgetful of our requests. The atmosphere was casual and the restaurant was well decorated and clean. We will most definitely return for the food and we recommend Zapata to you!

This place is so underrated. I see it empty most evenings, which I don't understood because it's everything I want in a restaurant. The food is incredible, reasonably priced, and the gentlemen who served us were so kind. The restaurant is clean, and the service was timely. I couldn't complain at all! I will be back for sure.
