I was expecting pieces of Rolo. Not caramel flavoured ice cream with chocolate chips. 2 out of 10. Only because ice cream is ice cream.
Pretty and yummy

You'd think as a millenial I'd be a semi-trendy person. News flash, people: I am not. One of the newer ice cream trends is flash freezing ice cream with different candies and nuts and rolling it up. I was not necessarily on this train but I was intrigued. What's the texture like? Is the taste different? There were so many questions I needed answered.Yolo Rollo is located in one of the center stalls inside Kenwood Towne Center. I ditched Auntie Anne's (big mistake because Annie is the real MVP) in lieu of trying Yolo. The concept is simple enough. Pick your flavor, one mix-in, and one topping. The downfall is that it's $6. That seems to be excessive for what you get. I decided to go for it anyhow. I chose vanilla with Oreo mix in and a brownie on top.The time it takes to create the ice cream is longer than one would think. They take the cream flavor of choice and spread it out, waiting for it to freeze up. They then add your mix in and roll it together. At the end, they add your topping and sauce of choice. The final product looks like much more than it actually is. You get multiple "rolls" of ice cream with your mix in, and a healthy portion of your topping to garnish. The flavor of the actual ice cream is awful. It tastes like what happens when you accidentally leave the lid off your ice cream before putting it back in the freezer (aka freezer burn). The mix in flavor is non-existent and the sauce (I chose caramel) that they put on top is scant. The brownies that I chose tasted like the artificial crap you find in sketchy convenience stores off the highway. I wasn't expecting a gourmet dessert, but I at least wanted something that didn't make me feel like I had just bathed in chemicals. I finished approximately six bites of my ice cream concoction before I gave up. At first I gave Yolo 3 stars because I thought it was strictly a family owned operation and I like to give locally ran businesses the benefit of the doubt. I then found out that Yolos are locally owned franchises and my guilt faded immediately. The next time I'm at the mall and want a sweet treat I'll reach for a cinnamon sugar pretzel. #yolo

My first time trying rolled ice cream and it is surprisingly good and entertaining. The staff here is very friendly. Since it does take a while for them to make it, there could easily be a line. You choose the flavor and topping and they do have variety of flavors that could accommodate most people's palate.

A very cool concept, felt like you are watching a frozen hibachi grill. Very different texture for the ice cream but my wife and I liked it. Very delicious and creamy taste. We will for sure be back, 4 of 5 stars because $6 for an ice cream was a little steep.

So excited!! I was ecstatic that kenwood mall got boba/bubble tea last year, now they opened up a rolled ice cream booth. You can choose your ice cream base, and they'll create your ice cream from scratch. You just stand there, and within 5 minutes, it goes from liquid to ice cream dessert! You can add in mix ins like cold stone too. A regular is $4.25 or you can get it in a trendy light bulb for $4.99. They also offer boba here too!

I like the concept of this place and how different it is than most places. It's neat to pick your flavors and watch them make your ice cream in front of you. The ice cream had a good flavor and was a bit creamier than regular ice cream which was good. The portion size was also decent. I just think $6 for an ice cream is a bit pricey for me.

Good stuff! Neat to see them pour out the liquid ice cream, spread it out on the frozen table and scrape up the rolls. $5.99 per cup. We got strawberry ice cream with a cheesecake "mix in"

Excellent experience! A very different kind of ice cream, different taste but delicious. A little pricey but there's labor involved so that's probably why.

These two young entrepreneurs are only starting day 5 of being open for business and already they are working extremely hard to become a Branson Missouri favorite! Certainly one of my favorites!!! I had the rolled fruit basket one day and a chocolate gelato the next and both were excellent and some say that it's the best icecream they have ever had. Thats saying something so I'm joining the Yolo family and given an opportunity you should too!
