First time ordering from here. Didn't know there was a sitting area but if I did I would have ate in and took advantage of the happy hour that is every Friday. Staff was nice and friendly and the food was good.The jerk chicken, rice n peas and plantain stole the show for me!The jerk fries, Mac and cabbage could have had some more flavor in my opinion but it was still a very good meal.

We stopped here for lunch because we've been to Jamaica & love the food there. It's pretty good here.We started with Barbifry and the lemon pepper wings. Loved them, especially the Barbifry wings!Then I had the jerk chicken with potato salad and jerk fries. The jerk chicken was very good and the juicy sauce with it was great. We poured the juicy sauce on the fries and they went from ok to Excellent! I wasn't a fan of the potato salad, a bit too much vinegar.It's slow - we were there an hour. Ask for extra napkins, you'll need them. I went to the restroom and got paper towels. Overall, we liked it. I'd come back for the wings & fries with the jerk sauce on them.

My husband and I had a taste for oxtail, so we stumbled upon this restaurant online. Our first impressions were lots of pickup orders, great music, and family-owned. We were encouraged to dine in. The walls had photos of Jamaican icons such as Bob Marley, Usain Bolt, the women's track team, etc. The menu had all the classics, so I ordered oxtail, plantains and potato salad. They were all amazing! The oxtail was full of flavor, and the plantains were cooked to perfection. The potato salad had a great taste as well. I also ordered a rum punch, perfect for a Friday night. A gentleman served us, but the chef checked on us in the end to ensure we enjoyed ourselves. I've been referring them to more people, so hopefully they can continue to bring the Vybz!

I just want to say that the jerk chicken is amazing! It's tender, flavorful and fresh. Everything else I experienced made up for it. I truly appreciate that they can provide you with fried green plantains as an option if you're not a fan of sweet plantains. I was not a fan of their cabbage but I look forward to trying their other side dishes. The staff was very friendly and the owner took the time to check on everyone after he was done grilling the jerk chicken. I was waiting with a few regulars and I could tell they were all waiting for the jerk chicken and they didn't mind since it is truly worth the hype and it was being grilled fresh. You can tell the owner took pride in his work with his positive and upbeat energy. I honestly cannot wait to try more items from their menu.

This is IT y'all. Yes, the name is hard to pronounce. Yes, the service is a bit lackluster. But damn, this is SERIOUS Jamaican food. Take their jerk chicken. Decent jerk chicken is easy to find, as ubiquitous as the jerk chicken seasoning that you can find at Kroger. But truly authentic jerk chicken is a paradox - so thoroughly permeated with spicy smoke flavor that you expect the meat must have been cooked to hell and back. But when you bite into it, it's as moist and tender as any barbecue master could hope to achieve. Yard Vybz has got THAT kind of jerk chicken.Their oxtail too, with meat as soft as butter, sauce thick and savory, and a flavor profile that lovingly punches you right in the taste buds. Rice and beans that are sturdy to hold up to the sauce that you will undoubtedly spoon over it, and soft steamed cabbage that's so delicately sweet, you'll be googling recipes on your way home.

The food was fantastic. Jerk chicken was fall apart tender, just the right amount of spice and very tasty. The owners were very friendly and helpful. It's a very basic place which is what you would find in Jamaica so it's very authentic, all the way down to the very tasty Jamaican sodas.
