Yamato Hibachi Grill & Sushi

A friend recommended this place and I am so glad I tried it I went for lunch and got the teriyaki chicken bento box Chicken rice spring rolls and California roll sushi Perfect amount of food So let's talk about the robots Yes robots Your order is taken by a smiling waitress but your food is delivered by a robot I have never experienced that The jury is still out The restaurant is decorated with beautiful fake cherry trees and lots of Japanese heritage

Got to the restaurant slightly before the dinner rush but the service was super slow. The waiter was nice and apologetic but the fact we were waiting for more than an hour before anything of note was served does not leave for a great experience. The only thing that came out relatively quick was one small plate of the raw sushi. My appetizer salad took an hour to get served. An hour for a pre-cut salad appetizer is not reasonable. They seemed to be prioritizing carry out and delivery orders as I kept seeing them come and go pretty quickly. I also saw people having to get up and pay since the server never came back to their table to pickup the bill and payment.We waited longer than we should have and just said forget the rest, paid for what we ate and then left. The server said it is not usually like this in terms of being slow but I am not sure that is the case.

Found this little place on Mall Road in Florence. The food is very good. They have a robot that brings your meal to your table! The service was good, but not great. We got crab rangoons and we each ordered chicken hibachi. The restaurant seemed as if it was missing some tables and chairs. Very open. We will return.

Great experience, robots that bring out your food, all you can eat. What more could you ask for. The sushi was excellent as well as the hibachi side. Would definitely eat here again.

The food was pretty good, didn't gave them a 5 star review because it was delivery, haven't been to the restaurant so can't talk to much about that and because of the shumais which weren't bad but nothing special about them, everything else tasted really good and was organized in a way for the sushi to not roll all over the place while being delivered, that's a big plus for me. The sushi was great (both fried) light coating, still with a bite to them though, really really good, the Pork egg roll where delicious still crispy after delivery, the Kids steak plate was good as well, great portion for a kid or an adult that doesn't want 3 portions in one plate. Have to say for take out I would recommended, definitely have to try a dine in and update the review after.

In all the years I've reviewed for Yelp, I have only given a 1 star once, but I think giving any more to this restaurant would be a lie! The one star is for the robot that delivers your food. That was a cool feature of the restaurant. Everything else gets zero stars! I read the reviews before going, so I thought it would be an enjoyable dinner out with a friend. We decided that for a little more we might as well do the $28 all you can eat option. That way we could sample more than one item. We picked a couple of appetizers, noodles, hibachi shrimp (5 pieces), chicken and three sushi rolls with fried rice. The waitress said "that's a lot of food"! Truly, if we ordered an entree and I had sushi, shared a roll and apps it wasn't a lot. Their portions were not huge. We shared all the food! But for some reason they brought out two Philadelphia rolls. I knew I ordered three different rolls to try, but she said we ordered 2 of the same. Now comes the part that was the last straw! Their Philadelphia roll was awful! I've had better at Kroger. She said we had to eat all of it or be charged .55 each piece. I knew that from reading the menu! What was crazy is we couldn't order another roll even if we paid for the other horrible pieces!! We sat there furious! Decided to order a few apps from this ALL YOU CAN EAT, menu....asked for it and she begrudgingly brought a menu, not our original one though! Bottom line for $38 dollars each, the only food that was even okay was edamame, Crab Rangoon and Mt Fuji roll! All that would have cost $38 total!!! Sadly, we were trying to try other options, but shouldn't have ventured out because Oishi Express Japanese Grill is around the corner and they are extremely friendly and everything we have tried there has tasted incredible!!P.S. if you see in the pictures. You can see the shrimp, chicken and rice we shared! Like I said it's not a huge entree for one. The rice had zero vegetables or egg just literally fried RICE! And what ever the "fish" was in the Philadelphia roll was mushy and no cucumber or any vegetables.

This is a really excellent place. They offer a $24 all you can eat sushi menu. The selection is great, the service is good and the sushi quality is excellent. The environment is also nice with a slightly cluttered Japanese decor. I would have given this place five stars if it were not for the vulgar and profane hip-hop music they were playing at 2 p.m. on a Wednesday.

Everything was delicious. Service was excellent. There was a party of girls that were a little rowdy, but even that was tolerable. Prices are very reasonable. It's all you can eat but I can't imagine asking for seconds, the portions were very large.

Wonderful food, great chefs and worth the price! I love to dine there Hibachi style! Easy to find, a dining "experience "!

There was a staple in my crab rangoon. How does this even happen ?? I almost ate it before i saw it and wouldve definitely injured myself !!!!! Sad because I used to eat here a lot but NEVER AGAIN.
