This is a beautiful park, a local nice park with various trails. A nice trail for a date or to walk your dog. They have the option to do paddle boating here. It's really nice. I definitely will return to check out more of their trails and to enjoy the outside!

Lots of love for this beautiful park just north of Cincinnati! I was first introduced to Winton Woods during the Great Parks Earth Day cleanup - and I knew I needed to get back up here as soon as possible. Winton Woods, like all of the Great Parks, does require a vehicle permit. If you're a Hamilton County resident, you can snag a day pass for $5. Since my husband and I drove up from NKY, our pass was $8. I have no problem paying a bit for a well-maintained park! If you think you'll visit more than twice a year, it's worth it to just buy the annual pass for $16. They do accept both cash and card at the main gate. My husband and I brought our dogs to hike Kingfisher Trail on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. While the harbor was pretty busy, and several of the covered picnic areas had been claimed, we were some of the only people on the trail. This is a pretty easy loop -- and while there is a small uphill portion, it's not steep at all. Dogs do have to remain leashed -- but there's plenty for them to sniff and explore right on the trail. As the weather continues to warm up, I'm sure we'll return to Winton Woods again soon!

My mom and I recently spent several hours in the morning walking 5 miles in Winton Woods. We did a large section of the paved walking path and the Kingfisher hiking trail. I am always amazed how clean this park is kept! Being able to take a nature break from the busyness of life without having to leave the city is such a treat!

I've been camping and visiting Winton Woods since I was a little girl! So much has stayed the same but wow, there's also some awesome upgrades the park district has made! Collaborating with Art Works, you'll find gorgeous metal bike racks throughout the park in the shape of various lake animals. Charley Harper birds and raccoon art is well placed along the walking path. Grab a yearly pass for $10 and visit as much as you want! Not looking for a pass? Check the website for monthly free entrance days or pick up a daily admission ticket. The Great Parks of Hamilton County will forever be a treasure for the majority of Cincinnatians. In 2009, the campground was given a huge grant for upgrades. Pros and cons of the campground include, Pro: gated community, spacious sites, tall trees, waterfront sites, free WiFi, every site has 30 amp electric, nice bathrooms/laundry, handicap sites, large camp store with ice cream and coffee, attentive park rangers and local pd. Cons: train nearby could be hard on tent sleepers, wood is pricey (7.99). The harbor always has the nicest folks working; stop by the rent a paddle boat, motor boat, mini pontoon, row boat, kayak, bike, peddle boat. You can even bring your own small trolling motor to Mount on their row boats! Stop by the concession stands in the evening for delicious ice cream and treats as the kids play on the large playset nearby. Parky's Farm is another nearby treasure in the park!Lastly, the lake is a great place to fish. It's loaded with huge carp, which aren't always the favorite to catch but they hit hard! You'll find a good amount of smaller bait fish, blue gill, crappie, bass.

This campground is PREMIER! What a jewel! Most states have county parks and some have campgrounds, but few can rival the beauty and full service offerings of this location. We've been RV-ing for 3 years and believe me we've seen it all. This park checks all the boxes. Set in the midst of an urban woods, it is a virtual oasis in the middle of Cincinnati. It has tent camping, RV spaces and 8 cabins. Water for swimming and fishing, canoeing and kayaking; hiking trails, bike trails, group camping, a general store, 24-hour law enforcement security, laundry, bathrooms and showers (spic 'n span), secure entry codes and the list continues.Campfires are allowed and wood is available for purchase at only $8 a bundle. Noise curfew is enforced. Campground is so quiet, no ambient noise from outside the park leaks through. All RV sites are paved and level. Full hook ups are available. Some sites are pull through, some back in. Most spaces have at least 20' between each other so we didn't feel like our neighbors were on top of us. We stopped here for an overnight but will probably return for a long term stay.

Over $50 for a city/state park isn't all that great. The road leading to the CG from the east side was shut down, making us drive through a small neighborhood with narrow streets and low power lines. We made it through then drove all the way around and entered through the other side just fine. This is a gated CG with an entry box for the park itself, than another key code gated area for the CG itself. It was hot as heck and thankfully, we had no power or utility issues. No shade covered in the large spots at the front of the park which can be a blessing and a curse depending on how you look at it. Lake/Pond is over fished and the CG looked tired. We stayed here to visit the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter. This CG is about 25 minutes from the Creation Museum and approx 1 hour from the Ark Encounter. Several "Ok" fishing area's around this CG and about 15 minutes to better shopping/dining options. We were only here for a couple nights.

Winton Woods is great! I used to always be annoyed by having to pay for entering/parking at parks, but I don't mind when the park is super well-kept. That's definitely the case at Winton Woods. There is a large paved loop (1.1 miles) that goes around the pond. In addition, there is a harbor where boats and fishing gear can be rented (though I'm not sure if that is running during COVID/seasonality). There is also a horseback riding center. I'd definitely love to take some lessons sometime. There's a total of of 2.6 miles of paved trails here. While I have only been on the main loop, I'll definitely come back soon and check out the others. If you're a runner, this is a great place to get some miles in and enjoy the outdoors. There are doggie bag stations throughout the park so you can clean up after your furry ones. I'll definitely be back soon!
