Wine Connection

I went in yesterday and the sign saying marks are required is gone, T he person stocking the shelves was not wearing a mask. I had a mask on and one other customer did also. Will be shopping at Lehr's instead.

Not sure why this place is called the "wine" connection! It's a liquor store with a very SMALL selection of wines.

I like this place. It's convenient to my house, and the staff is usually pretty friendly. Plus they often have a barbecue guy set up in the parking lot. So you can really give your cardio-vascular system a double beat-down with a greasy pulled pork sandwich and a bottle of whiskey to go!The only downside for me is the prices could be better. I guess it's not fair comparing them to The Party Source since both economies of scale and different state laws are factors. But in general I can drive across the river and save 20-40% in most cases.

Wonderful selection - knowledgeable sales staff. Always able to help me pick great gifts or something unique to try. Loved the Viking Blod mead!

I stopped in this store to get a pack of beer and to possibly get a bottle of allocated bourbon. Knowing that they just got some bottles I inquired to the female worker behind the counter when purchasing my beer. She was incredibly rude and on her phone while speaking to her. She said they did not get any allocated bourbons when I knew the store did and there was line outside the store before I got there. This place is very subjective on who they sell their good bourbons too, and is upsetting it is the closest place to my house.

CREDIT CARD SCAM - They charge a flat rate of $1.00 as a processing fee for every single credit card transaction. Its well known that Retailers must pay roughly a 3% credit card process fee. But to turn that 3% into a flat rate of $1 is gouging the customer for profit in a hidden sneaky manner. They dont reveal the $1 credit card fee unless you ask why the total is different than what you are expecting. So let's say 200 people shop there a day. Thats roughly $200 in hidden profit they are taking from the customers. That's SHAMEFUL on their part. I don't spend my money with businesses who do such hidden practices. They lower the character of our community with hard working people who live and work in Milford. I do not wish them well.

Some of the poor reviews hit the nail on the head. I went there today. They added a 2.5% checkout fee because I used a card instead of paying with cash. They don't tell you they are doing this, you find out by asking for your receipt. Lastly, the lady running the cash register had the personality of a rock.

I called to see if they had a beer selection in stock Ashley answered the phone said they did not even carry the beer even though I had purchased some the week before. Ashley was rude on the phone only later to say that they were actually out of stock. It's a shame they've lost a very good customer here. If I were the owner of wine connection I would think twice about Ashley representing them as a company in turning away paying customers.

Good prices and selection for a convenient and local store. Friendly and hard working staff make them worth being your go-to place.
