Western Hills Country Club

Had a certificate (purchased in a charity auction) to play golf here and have to say I was very impressed. The golf course and facility were in excellent condition. The staff was friendly. While I did not eat or use the other facilities the entire property looked great. A very nice size pool. Love the outside bar between the patio and the pool. Would definitely play here again if I get the opportunity . A definite gem on the West Side.

Beautiful remodeled property. I was here as a guest of a member. We sat at the bar downstairs for cocktails. Drinks were well made and tasty and the bartender was attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is cozy and warm. There were not many guests eating dinner or drinking, especially for a Friday night.

I was part of a group that hosted a dinner at this club. I didn't golf or eat. Very nice experience. I'm no country club expert but the few clubs I've been to don't seem as nice as this one. Many show the wear and tear of the recession and declining membership. Not this place. I looked. The building was in excellent condition and had a relaxed formality about it. The decor isn't dated. Maybe 'classic' would be a better descriptor. I expected Don Draper to walk through the door at any moment.The staff was attentive but not intrusive.In the part of the club I was there were two other meetings going on off the main foyer. There was no overlap of noise or any confusion. Very nicely done.If planning an semi-formal to formal event, this would be nice place to have it.
