I have been here probably 100000 times, and don't think I've ever given it a proper review. This most recent time, I went with family per usual but when we walked in the entire place was decorated for Valentine's Day. It just gave a really really good feeling, the time they took to decorate was really cool. I also really enjoyed the way they had seating set up inside. The food never disappoints, especially for the price. Service was good, didn't have to wait at all to be seated nor to get our food. Just a continuously and consistent good experience majority of the time I have been there. I also never remember to get pictures of what was ordered because I devour my food the second it comes to the table haha

If you're looking for a sushi spot that doesn't just serve food but changes your life, look no further than Wabi Sabi in Covington, KY.The moment the first bite of their expertly crafted sushi touched my lips, I felt a profound shift in my soul. It wasn't just delicious--it was life-altering. The flavors were so perfectly balanced, so exquisitely fresh, they awakened something primal in me. I'll admit it: the sushi was so good, I felt an unexpected sensual energy. Yes, that good. And as I savored each bite, a deep sense of reverence washed over me. I don't know if it was the Hawaiian or the Love the Cov, but I found myself believing in something greater--like this meal was a divine sign to get my life together. I suddenly wanted to eat healthier, exercise, take vitamins, and live decades longer. Why? So I could keep coming back to Wabi Sabi for as long as possible. But the experience didn't stop at the food. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance wrapped around me like a warm hug. The lighting, the décor, the faint hum of conversation--it was pure magic. I felt like a kid on Christmas morning, wide-eyed and brimming with excitement, as if each course were a beautifully wrapped gift waiting to be opened. And then there was the service. Every staff member exuded such warmth and attentiveness, I was reminded that humanity still has good people in it. Their kindness wasn't just professional--it felt genuine. By the end of the meal, my faith in humanity had been fully restored, one perfectly timed water refill at a time. This isn't just a restaurant. It's a temple of flavor. An altar of indulgence. Wabi Sabi is more than sushi--it's salvation.Don't walk. RUN. And thank me later.P.S. I'm leaving my family and job to move closer to this place. They'll understand.

This is almost always a stop for me when I'm in town!!! Wabi Sabi never disappoints!!I usually get the fan favorite... Sunday Morning (if you are new to sushi, definitely a good one to try!) Plus they have so many menu options, I wish I lived closer so I could try them all!!We always get seated so fast, and the workers are so nice! I have never waited for than 20 mins for my food to come out, even when it's packed so I know they are all hard workers!! It is a smaller sized restaurant, but they have even more seating in the back that you can't see from the front!!This is an awesome sushi place that I definitely recommend!! I will be back next time I'm in town!!! Till then... enjoy the sushi for me!!

Stopped in to Wabi Sabi for a quick sushi date and the team delivered! It's decorated so cute for the Christmas holiday and had all the vibes going. I got the Sunday morning, crazy spicy California and the volcano roll and all of them were amazing! I also had the bartender create me a blueberry mule with the Wesson vodka and it was delicious! I love this place and you can't beat the half price sushi pricing!

Always amazing sushi, cocktails, and service in a casual setting! I usually only order the sushi, so I'm not sure about the rest of the menu, but I can't imagine it's not all excellent.

I've eaten their food before, and always enjoyed it. But today my friend left her phone in the place next door, and they close in the afternoons. We went inside hoping someone was friends with someone at the other place. The server called his manager who called the other manager and helped us get the phone. I will definitely be going back! They were awesome! It's always nice when the people working somewhere take it from just being good food to making it a lovely experience.

I always continue to love this place. I don't get back enough but when I do, I go all out. First of all, I have found that it is easier to park in the parking garage literally adjacent to this place one block east. It's $1 an hour to park and it is so much easier than trying to find parking on Madison or side streets. We sat outside tonight out back and the weather was great. Service was also great and we ordered our usual appetizers of gyoza and crab rangoon and then followed with a ton of sushi! I love getting the drunken taco one every time. Also I very much enjoyed their Philly roll and another role that sort of had like a pureed version of tuna but I'm not sure entirely which one it was. This place continues to be a winner and prices are good for what you get. Very busy on a Friday evening even after 8:00 p.m. We didn't have to wait for a table outside though.

Came in for a few appetizers with friends and the food was great! We got the fried soft shell crab appetizer, the Hawaiian role, and Rainbow role. I hadn't had soft shell crab before and was excited to try it, very tasty! My friends got some wine and it was very reasonably priced - generous pours for like $6. Reco for a cheap night out in Covington!

Update 12/2/23:Wabi Sabi used to be our favorite place to go. We used to come weekly almost after our initial review below. Recently, the service is the worst and the food quality is going down. The hot food constantly comes out cold or lukewarm AT BEST. The servers never come and assist. They just sit at the front and don't help by letting the food come out cold. I want to keep coming because I did love the food and it was affordable but it's not longer becoming worth it when it's cold food and poor service. For example, they spilled half of my miso soup. Did not give me more soup just gave me the spilled soup that was cold. Even when it's not busy, it will take 1.5 hrs minimum. Take your business elsewhere. This place is no longer worth it and it hurts to say that because we were avid supporters for so long. But we'll be looking for a new sushi place. Old review:We tried Wabi Sabi for the first time after hearing so many good things and we enjoyed it. As of now, it is our new favorite on the kentucky side of the riverIt's tight little space but we were quickly seated. We started with an order of gyoza and it was good but a little over cooked. I ordered the chicken katsu which was delicious. However, it was mildly over priced given that they do not include a soup and salad unlike most Japanese restaurants. I didn't think to ask because it is usually pretty standard to get a ginger salad and miso soup. So next time I know to order separately. My fiancé ordered three rolls: spicy California, dancing shrimp, and Air Force. He really enjoyed all three and ate every last bite. The 1/2 off sushi deal whenever you eat inside is a great deal and makes it affordable. We'll be back again soon!

Yes ! I had a Bento box with the best salmon I've ever had. Great service and liked the atmosphere. Wait person was friendly, knowledgeable, which, was most helpful. Was a great place.
