Vinny's Bar & Grille

Had a meeting down the street and stumped upon this place. I love local places and will avoid a chain if I can, so was happy I came across Vinny's. I had the bacon cheeseburger with a side of fries and added melted cheese on top. It was tasty and hit the spot. Fast, friendly service too. Clean interior dining area and there was also a bar. If you want to gamble, there's Keno too.

Divvy hole in the wall watering hole. I had a dinner of fish sandwich & chips. The fish was cooked to perfection - nice and hot, fresh from the fryer. The potato chips were marchelled and crisp. The meal was prepared in short mannerThe hostess was friendly and efficient.I would try this bar again.

Vinny's is a great place for lunch during the work week. Their food is tasty and fairly priced. They are busy between noon and 12:30 . That's because it's so popular. You may call your order in and pick it up. Breakfast there is great also, try a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. I would put Troy's friend chicken up against any in the Miami Valley. On special Tuesdays and Thursdays. So if you like good food and friendly people try Vinny's.

Middle of the road. It's super close to my work so I decided to give it a whirl today. I got one of their lunch specials for $6.95. I went with their Friday Fish Platter which was two Alaskan Halibut fillets and two sides. I went with fries and cole slaw. Their fries are frozen and are a little thick but ok. The coleslaw was alright, could've been a little creamier. The fish was nothing memorable but decent. Their batter could use a tweak or two and the tartar sauce had an odd spice added to it that I can't put my finger on.My bill was supposed to be $6.95 but somehow ended up being $9.75. I guess that's because of the Pepsi that I got when I ordered an Ice water. I still see myself going back to try something else because it's close and the waitress called me honey.

I went yesterday to pick up food for co-workers and will never go here again. They were very busy and running around like crazy, so I had heard good things and figured would be fine. Never having been before I wasn't sure where to go, or how to order and the web site really didn't help prior to getting there. Placed order for 2 meatloaf dinners and sides, then went to get Drinks and smokes from carry out. I asked if could pay for it all at same time and was told to go ahead. Then cashier said I couldn't without ticket so I asked if could get it to cash out at end. She said would take care of it and rang me out and did not give receipt so not sure what all I paid for. I went back to wait on food. The lady plating the food used a spatula to pick up meatloaf for first tray then dropped it and picked up with ungloved hands and sat it in the tray and put rest of the items in. Then she licked her fingers did not wash her hands and proceeded to make the second container. Then she looked at me and asked if I wanted bread. I was so grossed out just said wasn't for me and I didn't know it came with it. She said well if they don't know than I am not adding it. I will never any circumstances eat anything that comes from this place. I tried to complain but everyone was so busy that I was ignored. I toke the boxes walked out and threw the food away. You just don't lick your fingers and continue to serve the public food without washing up.

This is the real deal dive bar.....Vinny is behind the bar and will have you peeing your pants from laughter.....chicken strips are homemade....atmosphere is crazy....had a great time! Just go and be ready to enjoy the funniest dive bar in Dayton...

I've eaten here several times. Each time the food has been excellent and the serve top of the line. I agree with the previous reviews, don't expect anything fancy. It just isn't fancy . But it is worth a visit

I am sad to read some negative reviews of this place. i just moved locally about a year or two ago and found this gem. "dive bar" isn't quite right, but mighty mighty close. If you are reading yelp reviews, this place might not be for you. The food is amazing, the prices are more than fair, but if your collar isn't blue, this might not be the place for you. White Collar? tuck in your tie and enjoy! Good people serving hard working people Amazing breakfasts and lunches. and wings... Not fancy or pretty, but damn fine service, damn fine food and Great staff. Plus, if you wanna bitch, Vinney is usually at the front counter , (but you might want to make sure the complaint is legitimate...) . Advice: just dont be a shit head and enjoy yourself

Please visit this whole in the wall! Expect not to be impressed with decor, table cloths etc. the food is amazing and the staff is super friendly!

Absolutely Love Wing Night! Thursday's are .75 cent Wings if you eat in. A bunch of us from work go once a month together and count the days in between! Love the atmosphere, food, drinks, and music. Television all around as well. I just ordered the Ruben Sandwich and it is very tasty! Hand carved Corned Beef!
