Village Tavern

A good place to get together with a group of friends. We went for a friend's birthday and mainly chilled in the upstairs area! There were many bar games; Jenga, Darts, and shuffle board. There's lots of space to talk and chill together. The food we delish and the bartenders were very on point and moved quickly. Sadly the phone did not eat first and I don't have pics to share. They were very attentive and willing to answer all customer questions!

Maybe instead of laughing at patrons who try to exit your building, you should have your door up to code. Egress doors should be in the direction of egress, extremely negligent. And mostly just annoying to have a sixty year old bouncer watch you struggle then laugh at you.

One of the bartenders, Jonah, made a joke to one of my friends that he put something in my friends drink and that is just so not ok. ruffing someone is not something to joke about. I've had lots of friends that have had that happen to them and it is traumatic.

Your experience at village tavern will depend on expectations and time-of-day. It is in the middle of Montgomery, but just know that despite the posh surroundings, it is a dive bar. It is a great place to watch some sports, play typical bar games, and have reasonably priced basic drinks. If that is what you want you'll be pleased. Later at night it often has some live music or DJ and it takes on more of a crowded, clubby atmosphere. Like a dive club maybe? In any case, it has multiple rooms, multiple bars, and a patio, so you should be able to find a place you are comfortable.

Good drink specials, greasy bar food, friendly bartenders, and enough variety in the clientele, drinking locations, and entertainment that it's worth coming by. Montgomery is a little out of the way, but if you're local check it out

if i could give zero i would. i've been here MULTIPLE times, but tonight... yea i'll never be back as long as the "door security" is working there. the moment mine and my friend's husband, came to get their ID's checked he accusers us of smelling like marijuana... he threatened to call the police and then said something full of bs. the thing is NO ONE smoked marijuana prior to entering. But lets also be reminded that marijuana is legal in this state. nonetheless, there was most certainly some sort or preconceived notion about our husbands so we could NOT spend a DIME in a place like this. you've lost several long term customers tonight. i hope it was worth it. oh yea, we know people who do and sell drugs at this establishment, but, i get it... we know what you really think and that's all that matters...

Went here for a friend's birthday on a Saturday night. The surrounding area is so cute and quaint, located next door to Montgomery Inn. Showed up around 11 and unfortunately the kitchen was closed by then. Not sure what kind of food was available, but lucky for me a pizza truck pulled up outside later in the night. Large space with multiple rooms and bars. Very loud and feels smoky. Looks like a small dance floor is the focus of the main room, but the place was so crowded you couldn't access the bar in the back through all the dancers. Service was good, decent prices, plus you can reserve the party room like we did. Had a good time but not really my style. Would not return.

Fantastic karaoke on Wednesday. Great song selection and sound system. Friendly relaxed bar.

Been having 3 drinks the whole night in this bar. The guys decided I'm too drunk to stay in the and kicked me out. I literally only drank in that place, been sitting in a chair with my friends. Wouldn't recommend if you aren't local... seem like they don't like anyone who looks different.

The bouncer definitely racially profiled me when I attempted to enter. I'm certain if I didn't have locs or brown skin I wouldn't have been denied entry.
