Ullery's Homemade Ice Cream

Best butter pecan ice cream ever had. They were in Parke County covered bridge festival

we stopped here while doing the Chocolate Trail. The chocolate ice cream was delicious. The woman that waited on us was very welcoming and they have a nice seating area.

I finally managed to fit a stop at Ullery's into my schedule. I've been by here about a half dozen times, so I made it a point to squeeze it into my day. Fortunately, it was a warm sunny day which made it perfect for getting a cone "to go" and strolling about the Historic Depot District.The shop isn't very big, but does manage to have a variety of ice creams and sherbets. There is also a cluster of small tables for dining inside.I was helped fairly quickly by the staff behind the counter and I was soon on my way. I had ordered a Red Raspberry ice cream (single scoop) in a waffle cone. The cone fits in a sleeve that keeps any of the melted ice cream from dripping out. It also has a handle tab that makes it easy to peel off without it sticking to the cone.The ice cream had a tangy/tart element in the flavor and the raspberry pieces were bigger than I expected (some were like mini ice cubes or crushed ice). It wasn't the creamiest ice cream I've had, but on a warm day, I didn't mind it that much. It was a bit more refreshing than most.Overall, a good choice and fine tasting ice cream.Review #2597

I had trouble deciding on one flavor so I went with the Salted Carmel and Blackberry cheesecake 2 scoop homemade waffle cone. It was all delicious and a great treat on a hot day.

With names like "the Ritchie rich and the cookie monster! You can't go wrong! If you haven't had it you are missing out! Go there now!

The ice cream had that homemade taste and texture. Really great flavor selections. Will be back when I'm in the area.

Friendly nice service from the young woman. Great homemade cone. But sadly, the worst ice cream I've ever had. I kept trying to figure out why there was no flavor. (I had cookie dough and cookies and cream) ... it was so crystallized/icy so the texture was not great either. I had a couple of little pieces of Oreo, which were good. My husband ate the rest of it. He said usually homemade is more crystalized. So disappointing.

Probably one of the most bland ice cream places I've had. Very few flavors and most of them are unappealing. The three I have had (sea salt caramel, cookie dough, and cookies and cream) are all very skimpy on the mix ins. The flavor is practically non-existent in the sea salt caramel. The texture is also not very good. It is more like a thick icee from the gas station than ice cream. I wouldn't recommend, unfortunately its the only ice cream store in town other than Dairy Queen.

This place is amazing! The staff is friendly and the ice cream is to die for! I highly recommend this place
