Bigggggg fan of this bar that we stumbled into. Walking in, you see a bar with side tables off to the right. If you stop there, you would have no idea how big and cool the rest of the bar is.Keep walking past the bar and you'll see a private room with a pool table, fireplace, and chairs to host some type of smaller party. It could be a great place to host a birthday party with close friends! But wait! There's more! Keep on walking and find some stairs that lead into a basement. Down here we have sexy black sofas, tables, candles, and a stage! Apparently, this is where the creative get together and make sweet art. Great happy hour prices on cocktails and wonderful staff - we really like Jess who had a great personality and was very personable. I really want to come back to an underground show.

Awesome bar in East Walnut Hills. They've got really nice beers on tap and a cool speakeasy vibe in the basement.

Omg! This place is EVERYTHING! Let's start with the music, on nights that they don't have a theme going, the music/playlists alone is worth a visit. Who curates this?! Epic jams, so chill, I never want to leave. Okay let's talk about the vibes...GORGEOUS bar. Very sexy and moody. Very clean. The basement is really cool. This is a place for adults. Twenties? Yes like grown ass, I make my own money, I pay my own bills, I mess with no boys, where the men at, twenties. And. I. Am. Here. For. It! Speaking of where the men at, they are staffing some fine and refined skilled bar tenders. The drinks are crushable! I had a couple of margs made by Kevin tonight and I have to say, it may be the best marg in the city. He made me a spicy margarita, as well. DELICIOUS! Yeah. This bar will be the place at which I return back to post-covid normalcy. Thank you, Twenties.

EDIT: As shown in the reply below, the owner of this establishment has now accused a paying customer of lying about these comments when I posted this after reviewing my bank statement and becoming aware of a $110 charge and a $75 charge. I would recommend checking out Woodburn brewery across the street before stepping foot in this bar.I went here for the first time over the weekend. The bar was nice, but empty. I spent a good amount of money and left a 20% tip. When I checked my bank statement online the following Monday, there were two separate charges. One being $110 charge and a $75 charge which was unauthorized. If you come here make sure you pay in cash. Do not trust this bar.

When we walked in tonight the two bartenders were really standoffish and didn't seem very eager to help us. They made us feel very uncomfortable. The music wasn't 20s themed (more r&b hip hop) and bar was completely empty on a Friday night. Was not a vibe!!!

Sam is seriously the best! She is the most hands on, friendly, bartender who gets to know you and actually remembers you when you come back! She remembers our orders and takes great care of us! We love that they have jazz and can sit downstairs in this super intimate space! Highly recommend for date nights!! Great section of wine and beer as well!

Kinda bummed. I was first here when it was Myrtle's. I liked it much better then. I came in again expecting a twenties themed bar....maybe they mean 2020's and not 1920's because the music is all modern while the decor screams 1920's vibe. I dunno....I agree with a previous review in that this place is having an identity crisis. Pick an era and stick with it....had one drink and peaced out....if I wanted to go to a night club, I'd go to a night club. I was hoping for a more chill, laid back, jazzy vibe....this place isn't it....Are you trying to be 2020 or 1920? Please just pick one and stick with it...

Twenties is an interesting spot with a bit of identity crisis as it gets off the ground. Admittedly it's hard to follow a Molly Wellmann bar (the location was previously Myrtle's). When Neons closed in OTR and Rosedale opened in its place, it felt as if all the magic touches that it made it special and awesome were gone and what was left was the shell of a big, really great space at a perfect location that now... still happens to have a bar. When I first heard about Twenties concept, I expected something akin to Century Bar in Dayton (https://www.yelp.com/biz/century-bar-dayton), which from the moment you walk in makes you feel like you have been transported to another decade in every way starting with the ambiance -- Twenties is not like that.To me it was really unclear what the focus of Twenties is intended to be. Here are some examples:- They are a 1920s bar, but the ambiance is full of modern aesthetic touches and the vibe inside is more like a classy neighborhood bar- Their music is semi loud modern hip hop -- I love hip hop, but it's not what comes to mind as the music for a '20s bar- It is semi dimly lit inside, but they have a massive TV right in the middle of the bar (why?) and it's pretty distracting [if you want a TV purely for background visuals, check out how the TVs are done small and subtly at Quan Hapa or Senate]- They are a "classic cocktail bar", but the cocktails are 1/4 of the drinks menu (3/4 is beer and wine)- The cocktails list is 5 classic cocktails (old fashioned, manhattan, mule, martini, daiquiri) plus 4 variations on an old fashioned with different liquors -- it would be nice to see some creative surprises or house cocktails- The liquor selection at the bar is pretty broad (more than just the basics), but again there doesn't seem to be a house cocktails list to take advantage of thatWe had a handful of classic cocktails - the (whiskey) old fashioned, mule, and daiquiri. The old fashioned was good, definitely above average. The mule was okay... it came in a Collins glass with a paper straw instead of the classic copper mug one thinks of when they order a mule at a nice cocktail bar. The details are important! The daiquiri was also above average. The bartenders take their time to make the drinks right, which I appreciate, and they certainly know what they're doing, so I hope to see the cocktail menu and the ambiance of Twenties come to reflect that so it can truly flourish. The service was fast and the people were very friendly. Prices were reasonable as well. I think with more focus it has potential to be a regular spot, but for now it's more of a drink or two kind of place. Night Drop is very close by and has a much stronger emphasis on being a great cocktail bar.I would visit Twenties more if they think through some of the conflicting details that give the impression it hasn't figured out what it wants to be yet.

Cute spot with a nice happy hour. The basement is really the best little cozy dark cave with a stage for music--that I can't wait to hear. Nothing about the vibe or decor felt inspired by the twenties so maybe that just refers to the 2 bills you'll spend on some nice cocktails over a few hours. I do wish there was food.
