What's a trip to Kentucky without experiencing the bourbon offerings, historic taverns and flavors of well prepared Kentucky dishes. Tousey House Tavern didn't disappoint, providing Kentucky favorites in charming surroundings. Located in a centuries old house, the hot slaw began our culinary journey, leading the way to a well prepared and generous portion of Kentucky Hot Brown. There is a reason why this is an extraordinary favorite. We topped off our meal sharing the Bourbon Bundt Cake. Thanks to our local family for sharing this destination and to the Tousey House staff for great food and service.

Went here today for brunch. We made an Open Table reservation (I recommend that as they get pretty busy), so we were seated promptly. We chose patio seating because it was such a gorgeous day. Their brunch menu is quite nice, but I spied their fried chicken. It takes about 15 minutes, but it was worth the wait.Made to order, crispy and hot...and delicious. Mine came with home fries (instead of mash potatoes) and a salad. The service was quick, without being pushy, and the food was great. It was a little pricier than expected but not outrageous. All in all, it's a very nice place to dine.

The service was great. The food was reasonably priced. I gave it three stars because getting to our table felt very cramped. There wasn't a lot of room, but when we sat down at our table we felt so far away from each other because the table was long. Also, we sat at a table against the wall and the table was on an incline (you could feel and see that we were sitting at an angle). Other than that the food was great. Our food was hot, and well seasoned. Not sure if we will go back but it was nice to try something new!

Sean and his team were wonderful, especially with our kiddos having extra energy to burn. The food is exceptional, and the restaurant is so neat being in a home from the early 1800's!Thank you

We discovered this awesome restaurant several years ago and make a point of going whenever we are flying out of CVG and spending the night. The food has always been amazing as well as the service. There are so many tempting items on the menu that it's hard to decide. The ambience in the restaurant is very unique, but we especially love the patio. I suggest to the owner that you should consider opening a second Tousey House closer to us! I know the perfect location. We came for the infamous Hot Brown.... It was quite tasty... would like a little more bread on the entree as the the 3 meats were very apparent in this dish would have liked a little more taste of the bread and gravy shine through a bit more ... also throw 2 slices of tomato vs. one and it would have been perfect.... The size is a shareable dish in my opinion. Will definitely be back to try more dishes

The food was wonderful but the house was just so beautiful. The employees were very friendly and knowledgeable to the history of the building and let us look around upstairs even though we were in the bar.

I visited this quaint, historic hotel for dinner while staying in the area on business. Gotta say I love places like this that are small and local. Sat at the bar (seats about 4). Bartender was superb. Enjoyed the deviled eggs, wedged and the fried chicken as this is a proper restaurant for true southern cuisine. Definitely on the list to go back to.
