We decided to celebrate at Tony's and it was worth the hype. Someone told me it was their favorite steak in Cincinnati and it's got to be up there on the rankings.Starting with the drinks, had a dirty vodka martini that was served ICE cold with blue cheese olives. Fantastic. Big ole olives stuffed to the brim the blue cheese. The house old fashioned is made with Woodford Reserve and was perfect. The bread service comes with two butters, we preferred the non-sweet one. Sourdough bread was light and airy. We started with the calamari and loved it. Fried perfectly with the hot peppers. The aoli was nice to dip in. Everyone got a salad. The ceasar was okay, nothing amazing. The Parmesan crisp was a nice touch. The wedge salad was phenomenal. Crispy thick bacon and blue cheese dressing was top notch. Wish it was served on a cold plate. The shrimp pasta was nice and spicy. Huge shrimp fried perfectly. Mushrooms in it were good. Short rib also fantastic. The ribeye was amazing. We split it. Crust on it was phenomenal. Horseradish au gratin potatoes were okay, wouldn't order them again. Carrot cake is a must order. Huge slice. Served cold and I love that. The icing isn't too sweet. Can't wait to go back. Had phenomenal service. Great space. Lots of parking.

This is definitely a nice restaurant with great service and tasty food. Reservations are usually required but we got a table in the bar area which is first come first served. Each table gets complimentary bread and butter which is pretty good. Service is great as expected at this price point. I got the salmon, which was very tasty with the goat cheese and green beans. I had to remove the grey fat on the bottom myself, which would have been appreciated in advance.I cannot give a 5-star rating due to the prices. They're just too high for what you get. I can get better food for cheaper at other high-end competitors. My small 5 oz house cab pours were $17 each. That's absolutely absurd, $34 for 2 small glasses of wine.Fancy nice restaurant in summary, but I cannot justify the prices they charge.

The staff were exceptional, very attentive and knowledgeable. Our dinners were perfectly prepared and delicious., from the raw bar to dessert. The pictures do not do the food justice. If you are looking for a relaxing evening out, give Tony's a visit!P.S. they are open on Mondays

Let's start off where the lovely Mrs asked me where I wanted to go for dinner on my Birthday. I replied steak and googled 'Best steak in Cincinnati' and having been to the 1st two, Tony's was 3rd in the list. So made reservations and anxiously awaited one of the best steaks in Cincinnati. We get there, we wait a few minutes which is no big deal but then we are escorted back thru a couple open tables in the main room and in to the back room where the lighting is a bit of a nightmare(not what you'd expect?) and it's cold af. Seriously, I usually like it being not warm but holy cow it's freezing in here. Lovely mrs never took her winter coat off. Service was excellent. Very friendly and attentive. I ordered the 'Dallas Clark' medium-rare and the Mrs ordered the salmon and it was delicious. I should have gotten this as the steak was kind of awful? It was hard to cut and a bit chewy. I've never experienced this with a high end steak house. The flavor was kind of dull and the sinew(or gristle) was a little more than I could handle. No clue how the folks running the flame would ever let this inside the broiler. And let's talk about the knives... they appear to be decades old and never sharpened. I tried to take a video where it would even cut the bread but apparently that got lost. With the costs they really should hire a fella to keep the blades sharpened enough to cut what they put out as steak. Again, cute place and lovely environment in the main room but the 'cooler' that we were sat in and the cut of meat I got kind of ruined it for me. Will we ever got back? Probably not. I did find out if you don't want to sit in this room, all you have to do is look at the hostess and tell them no and they will seat you in main room so keep that in mind. And as another noted, take a coat or sweater to keep warm.

Upon entering we were immediately greeted by the hostess. She was very courteous and welcoming. The restaurant just felt inviting and warm. Upon arrival at our table we were greeted by Michael who assisted in taking care of our table and immediately filled our water glasses. He then delivered warm bread. Katelyn was our waitress. I have to admit they both did an amazing job. Friendly, courteous, and professional. We placed our order and within a few minutes Katelyn had our salads to the table. Upon completion of our salads our entrees were brought to the table. The food was amazing and so enjoyable. The little touches when dining here made the experience even better. Dishes removed immediately and even the crumbs were brushes from the table. Clean silverware placed along with our steak knives. Definitely will go back. So glad we tried it. Job well done by all.

Since it's right around the corner, I don't recommend going on Valentine's Day. We had a reservation and ended up seated at the bar. One of our steaks was way under and had to be re-fired. They were completely and totally overwhelmingly busy. Service was not good because of that. If felt more like a college bar on a Saturday night, trying to get another drink, than a higher end steakhouse. A lot of people love this place, so we probably chose the wrong time to try it but after that bill and service, it's not something I'd pay for again.

Great service, good appetizers (we had the calamari and crab cake) and my filet was properly cooked! The restaurant was rather dark which I didn't love, and I wasn't impressed with the Caesar salad. Otherwise, everything was great!

We've had Tony's in various formats and it never fails to delight: dinning with reservation in the dining room, just popping in to sit in the bar and eat, late night for dessert and a drink at the bar, etc. The service and attention are top notch to match the high quality food and drink options.

Great experience, just over priced.Service was fantastic. Thoughtful, friendly, with no air of pretentiousness. Decent ambience and food came out in a very timely manner. We are not large volume eaters, so we just ordered salads and dinner entrees. It was an $8 upcharge for the very good wedge salad. Loved the (house made?) Ranch dressing. I ordered the $45 porkchops ... I very much enjoyed it, along with the bourbon(!!!) sweet potatoes puree. It was maybe a little pricy but I didn't lose any sleep about it. My wife's bone-in ribeye on the other hand was good (nice char) and cooked perfectly, and the flavor was good, but she found gristle that was unpleasant to her (but not uncommon in ribeye, I concede) and the big rub: $99 is too much to justify for me (which ended up being $107 after the upcharge for the salad), especially as the steak was good, but not great ... maybe it was just the lack of tenderness to the meat, or maybe it needed a little more marbling? I've been to several quality steakhouses in downtown Chicago that have better steaks for much less price.5 stars if they priced the steaks what they are worth to a guy like me, but unfortunately the steak was way overpriced.Great food quality, great and attentive service, but we won't be back there for a steak meal (but maybe for a porkchop or fish dish?). Cheers.
