Wow! Tony & Pete's is an amazing local sandwich shop in the Fire Blocks district in downtown Dayton, friendly service lots of creatively named & crafted sandwiches. Plus homemade soup & variety of sides, chips, local sodas, Jeni's ice cream & even craft beer to wash down their sandwiches.I enjoyed the turkey pesto a few weeks ago & today enjoyed the Thanksgiving Sandwich special, which is truly one of the best turkey sandwiches I've ever enjoyed! The local turkey, arugula-so fresh& flavorful, white sharp cheddar, cranberry & then the star of the sandwich is the lemon Dijon gravy served warm for you to dip your sandwich incredible! Run to Tony & Pete's now for this limited time creation!

We popped in here to grab some dinner on our way home and loved the decor of the space. Food was also wonderful with a large selection of cold / hot sandwiches and sides to choose from.

SIX MONTHS LATER...and we're STILL talking about this place! If we're anywhere even remotely near the Dayton area again, we'll be stopping in here!

My BFF and I drove up from Cincinnati because we had heard good things about Tony & Pete's and wow! We were not disappointed!!! We split a White Collar and it was amazing!!!! We were there right at 11:00 when they opened and there was a line the entire time we were eating!!!! The wait staff was great! Service was awesome and the food came out very quickly!!! I can't wait to come back into Dayton to eat another big sandwich!!!!!

This place is a standout for several reasons: the amazing food, the unique interior, and the well-curated grocery and wine sections.First and foremost, the food is incredible. I had the vegan cold cut, which was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. The bread was a French-style sub roll with just enough chew. The flavors were perfectly balanced, with the acids, fats, and the earthiness of the marinated tofu coming together beautifully.The interior is clean and has a cool retro look while still feeling contemporary. They have an interesting selection of grocery items and a well-curated wine section. Although I didn't buy anything, it was clear that a lot of thought went into their selection.The only downside is the seating arrangement, which could be improved. It felt a bit off and could be more comfortable.Overall, if you're around Dayton, this spot is definitely worth checking out for its fantastic food and unique atmosphere.

Don't let the name fool you! This place is so much better than cold cuts! We have heard good things about Tony & Pete's for a while now and are so happy we finally got there!First of all, the place is so cute! Out front there is a seating area with flower boxes and bright red umbrella topped tables. Inside is bright and cheery, with some specialty grocery products lining the walls and a small amount of seating. My guess is most people order to go.I told the employee it was our first time and asked what she suggested and she immediately suggested one of the namesakes, the Tony or the Pete. I ordered the Tony and my husband ordered another sandwich, then she told us we could have a seat and they'd bring the sandwiches to us. A few minutes later, she arrived with two wrapped sandwiches; I knew they were going to be good just from the heft of mine.I am not usually a huge fan of deli sandwiches but this was an exception! Everything was fresh and flavorful. Best of all, I could only eat half of it, so I have lunch for tomorrow!We will absolutely be back!

Very cool place! I like the variety of speciality items, you can make a great picnic out of these fixings. We had deli sandwiches; I had the Gabagool sandwich was spicy and tasty. I washed it down with Jarrett's lime soda. My partner had the Tony sandwich. Very tasty the addition roasted red peppers made the sandwich. She had a Warped wing Rootbeer with a giant cube. Definitely check them out if you are downtown

This deli is adorable, I love the atmosphere! The employees are always very friendly and take pride in their food. The sandwiches are made with the freshest ingredients and it shows. The pimento cheese dip is outta this world and the spicy pasta salad is sooooo good!! I'd try everything on the menu, can't go wrong here!

Best sandwiches I've had so far in Dayton. My wife had the Italian beef with the jus (chef's kiss) and I had the Gabagool. Bread is fresh, cold cuts are classy, and the giardiniera heats up the whole experience. Unrelated to the food, they've got great bar stool seating by the street window that's perfect for people watching in Downtown Dayton while you eat.
