I went to Tokyo Grill in Sushi Buffet at their Mason, OH location and really enjoyed the food/service. When I found out there was another location closer to home, I wanted to check it out, however, the experience felt a bit awkward and underwhelming. We went during lunch (did this at both locations), and the front staff seemed tired/annoyed to see us there, making the interactions feel a bit awkward, especially when we had a couple of questions. It wasn't until we gave a tip and left that they started acting nice to us, which was a bit disappointing. As for the food, the hibachi had a lot of great options of meat and vegetables to choose from, however, some buffet options were underwhelming compared to Mason's location. I think, because it was lunch time, they assumed people would come for the hibachi and not care for the buffet. They had small amounts of food out for some of the options and I didn't see some of them refilled while I was there. I completely understand why they'd have a small portion size out as not a lot of people were there when we were, but I was a bit disappointed when some of the food options I liked didn't get refilled before I left. Other than that, the hibachi was great, the meat/vegetables looked fresh, and the chefs brought our bowls out fast.Their sushi section and dessert section were plentiful and basically eye candy. Everything tasted great! Not sure if I want to come back here as the waiting staff seemed unapproachable. If I want TGSB, I'd probably make the trip to Mason as their staff were so friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service with us during our visit.

Wasn't really expecting much since it was an ACYE sushi place in the Midwest but was happy for the most part! I've had ACYE sushi before so this isn't my favorite place for sushi but I'm glad they also have hibachi, other appetizers, & desserts. I liked those more than the sushi since I didn't see too many sushi options. For the price, it's not too bad. I definitely think it's a fun experience to try lots of foods so would recommend!

This is my second time going to Tokyo Grill and Sushi Buffet. The first time was in 2020 and I honestly had a great time. My second time around was about as good as the first. First off the all-you-can-eat hibachi grill is UNMATCHED! I could honestly eat it all day every day. The variety of sushi is great. They have ranges for every type of sushi fan and I have to say all of them were pretty good. I will say the sushi was good, but not amazing. It was 4/5 star sushi. The ambiance of this establishment was fairly nice. Dimly lit, had very very nice staff, and was clean from everything I saw. The lunch price is $16.99 which for what you're getting I think is a pretty solid deal. I would go back! As for this restaurant, I think it's like the James Harden of buffets. James is an elite scorer, but the rest of his game is nothing to write home about. He's above league average in many areas and that's how I'd describe this place. Hibachi blew me away and everything else was a nice compliment but nothing crazy. I love this place and would recommend it!!

This is the second time I've dined with this establishment, and overall very satisfied with the freshness of their sushi. They're wide selection and quality offerings. Their staff is extremely friendly and very helpful. Their cooking staff seems to consistently put out fresh food. The seating is open and plenty of space for large groups to indulge in all you can eat spot. Only warning I have is the white tuna is actually Escolar fish, eating large amounts of this could lead to troublesome situations, but other than that, this place is great!

How have I not reviewed this yet? My son loves this place, so he is often willing to pay for my meal if I drive. What a deal! The sushi is fresh and the rice for the rolls is always just right. I prefer going for dinner when they have more options for nigiri and sashimi, but lunch is a great price for what you get. They have some hot appetizers available, my favorite is the tempura sweet potato, next is the dumplings. I never really got the hibachi until recently, because I didn't want to fill up on that and not have room to eat my weight in sushi. I noticed there is an option for "no starch", so I opted for that the last time I was there. Let me tell you, the way the flavors meld and the perfectness of the zucchini, garlic, and seafood--totally worth it. If you like really sweet dessert you might be disappointed. Thy have the standard Asian buffet options. I really like the coconut and tapioca or the custard with caramel sauce.

The restaurant is very clean & tidy. Staff are friendly and helpful although the language barrier can sometimes cause misunderstandings. It's pricey. You have to pay the full meal price whether or not you plan to eat at the hibachi. So if you're not super hungry, or if you don't want to take advantage of the unlimited hibachi, I'd recommend skipping this. The sushi is nothing to write home about, but the desserts are fairly decent and the hibachi is delicious. You have a wide array of vegetables and noodles to choose from, along with five different types of meats. There's also vegan options. We enjoy eating here, but it's expensive so it's an occasional treat.

I ordered the hibachi steak and chicken with fried rice, plus broccoli and onion added on (for $1 each) and an order of crab Rangoon. Added a ginger sauce for $.50 too. The hibachi was good overall. The chicken was flavorful and cooked well. The rice, broccoli, onion and mushroom all seemed to be made from fresh produce too. The steak was quite chewy, so I wouldn't order it again. The yum yum sauce and ginger sauce were good but a little runny. Crab Rangoon was standard. Crispy and full of cream cheese. It comes with sweet and sour sauce as opposed too sweet chili. I only did carryout so my interaction with staff was limited - not super welcoming but they were dead so probably just bored. Overall I would order from there again.

Crazy expensive for what it is. My girlfriend only wanted the Sushi buffet, but everyone is required to pay the same price for the full hibachi + buffet, and they don't tell you the price upfront. It's $26 per person as of 2024, so with tip you are spending well over $60 for two people, not including drinks. The food quality was mediocre. Overcooked hibachi bowls and rubbery sushi. I definitely would not recommend eating anything raw. The crab rangoons were low quality. The spring rolls were slimy. All cheap GFS ingredients. The service is great and the restaurant is clean, but if I'm paying $60-$80 bucks for dinner for two, I will go to a nice sit down restaurant where I'm being served food, not fighting over sweet and sour sauce and getting my fingers sticky pouring it in a tiny plastic cup.
