The Wok

Update 12/03/24:I was looking to have an order delivered and after viewing their online menu, I had a couple of questions to ask before I could decide if this establishment still offered food options which I could consume.I called and spoke with Wong, and he assured me they still offer gluten-free items. I then asked if they have Pho Ga (chicken broth with chicken as the protein), as I am not a fan of Pho Bo (beef broth with beef as the protein). He said it's not on the menu, but when placing the online order, I could select Beef Pho and add notes stating I wanted chicken broth and chicken as the protein, so that is what I did. I also ordered a gluten-free veggie roll, and had it delivered. The food arrived before the expected delivery time, which was a plus. When I opened my containers, I was surprised and disappointed that the broth was not the chicken broth I ordered, but beef instead. They do offer chicken and rice soup on the menu, so I assumed they had chicken broth, especially after I was instructed to add the instruction notes to my order. The noodles, chicken, and accompaniments were all fresh, but all thrown together in one big pile in the container. This is more of a preference thing for me, as I am accustomed to having them all separate, but this is not a deal breaker by any means. I must say, the chicken was truly divine, succulent even, very moist, and that is difficult to manage for chicken breast. I did try the beef broth, and I did not like it. The gluten-free veggie roll was all grease, I took one bite and the grease oozed out of it. Needless to say it was placed in the bin. I'm not giving up on this establishment, but will go in person to place my orders in the future.

The food was great! I ordered the drunken noodles. The noodles were a little over cooked. However, it was still good. I would go back!

Great and quick place to get a bite to eat! We love coming here! Between the cool murals on the walls, the food is fresh and unprocessed, made from scratch and the owner is the guy behind the counter taking down your order. Restaurant was owned by owners uncle before him and was taken over a few years ago, so this is a local and very family oriented business. Also plays K Love in the background.

My friend and I decided to eat out after work today. Since we were on this side of town we opted for The Wok. She had lo mein noodles with no veggies but extra mushrooms and beef. I went with the marinated Kung Pao chicken and lo mein noodles.Her food smelled amazing and it looked tasty too. She said it was pretty good . Mine was definitely amazing , we could hear the cook using the wok while we waited.I'm not sure what people are talking about in reference to tasting something on the chemical side because both of us thought the food was hot and fresh tasting . The guy at the counter was super friendly and nice enough to bring our food to the table . There are several tables to sit at and dine in if that's what you wish to do . We were the only ones there around 3:30 pm. We did see another customer walk out on our way in. I'd eat there again and so would my friend .

WOWZA! It looked like a hole in the wall from the outside but lit up our tastebuds like the finest cuisine. From the first bite of an egg roll (it's ok if you are vegan - no egg in the eggroll) my hubby and I knew we'd be back. Something for everyone on this menu.... seriously. The egg rolls are made in-house as are all the sauces. We ate at the cafe but bought extra egg rolls to take home and share with our adult daughter (who is a bit hard to impress); she immediately asked, 'Where is this place?'. We will buy extras to freeze next time, since we live over 3 hours away. Stop by and try this place out folks. It is truly amazing. Oh, Kentucy twist: there is even a Bourbon sauce (the only sauce that isn't vegan). Service is friendly, fast, stellar. Serving sizes ample (more than we could eat at one sitting).

I just ordered from here today for lunch because it's the closest Chinese restaurant to my office. I was very pleased with the ordering process and it was delivered within 20 mins... need to mention, my office is 5 mins away from this place. My order and rating is we follows: Hot n Sour Soup: 0/5... I've never had such a soup.. it was like somebody had dumped a cup of sugar in it!!! Had literally 5-6 slithers of ginger and a piece of spring/onion. Nothing else! Just sickly sweet gravy type texture.. didn't even resemble a broth and certainly didn't have a soupy look .. or taste! Sweet n Sour Chicken with Low Mein: 2/5... the low mein were like regular low mein. The sweet n sour chicken had ample pineapple, hence the rating of 2. Chicken was very tough and chewy and the gravy tasted sweet .. no sourness there. Thai Fries: 0.5/5... very disappointing! I was most excited about this but instead of having chili on them, they used sweet chili sauce and sooo much that the fries were not only sweet but soggy and limp. :( Overall, a very disappointing experience.

Great, friendly customer service. I felt welcomed and appreciated. The food lived up to its best reviews. Fresh spring rolls. Sauce was tasty without relying on being spicy like so many places do these days. Best crab Rangoon I've had. Lunch portion plate was more than generous and excellent quality ingredients. Even if I'm not back to the same hotel, I'll walk to come back.

The Wok was open late, made to order, and the place was very clean. Plus the staff was friendly on top of everything. The mei fun and potstickers were delicious and I would recommend them to anyone

Great food & great atmosphere! Everything on the menu except for a very few things are gluten free. The owner talked with us as we ate and he's been gluten free for 6 yrs, so he was very knowledgeable about what was safe for those of us that need GF. I had the sesame chicken & veggie roll (it had been so long since I had had an egg roll & it was so good), and my husband had the drunken noodles and Thai fries. All of it was awesome!
