The Upside Brew

This spot is dope. If I lived near by, I have no doubt that I'd be here on the regular. There's street parking and a lot out back. A ton of space inside to pop a squat and get some work done. Plenty of outlets so you can keep your gadgets juiced up and the wifi was strong, too. I absolutely loved all the art work on the walls as well. The service was super friendly and helpful when I asked questions and for suggestions. While I was there, I tried three things. I ordered a latte that was just what I needed, and a breakfast sandwich - yummy. I also ordered the almost paradise smoothie after I was told it was the most popular choice. It came with mango, strawberry, pineapple, OJ, and spinach. It was the perfect balance of sweet while knowing that it was packed full of fruit and rather healthy. Again, I would totally come back, especially if I needed a solid place to work.

As a professor at UC. I've made upside brew my weekly writing spot. It hits all the marks. Great coffee, ample seating, light lunches, and stronger beverages as a treat if you hit your writing goal for the day. I've recently been obsessed with the seasonal maple brown sugar latte. The savory pastries are also worth a try.

Upon entering, I was greeted my Olson with a friendly hello. He and the lady working were welcoming and helpful. I came for a breakfast sandwich that I saw on Google that looked delish. It was quite accurate. I got an oat milk latte that was perfect. Shortly after my sausage, egg, and Gouda croissant came out. Fresh, hot, and tasty. I like the little spice that the sausage has to it. I got a blueberry cheese danish to go that is soft and looks so yummy. The atmosphere was relaxing and welcoming, which I truly enjoyed.

The Upside Brew is a cozy cafe in the heart of Clifton. We hopped across the street from Two Seven Two Bakery to grab a morning drink and breakfast. Love the rustic vibes. This is a perfect little spot to study, get some work done, or meet up with a friend. There is plenty of seating throughout the cafe on the right when you walk in. The menu of offerings is exactly what you would expect from a coffee shop: hot and cold drinks, smoothies, tea. They also have an assortment of breakfast items from breakfast sandwiches to flatbreads. We opted for the bacon, egg, and cheese bagel on an everything bagel, and a hot chai latte to pair.The breakfast sandwich came out hot and delicious. The bagel was a bit thin and portion size on the smaller end, but it would make for a great snack on the move. Chai latte was tasty, just enough fragrance without tasting too milky. Staff were friendly and worked hard to get all the morning orders out on time.All in all, definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. Drinks and service are on point. If you're craving a breakfast sandwich, it will do the job. But may need a little more if you're hungry!

This coffee shop is 11/10. The service was phenomenal. The coffee that I tried today was the British Islander Macadamia Nut, White Chocolate Mocha which was beyond good . I was shocked on how good the coffee was. I added oat milk to the coffee as well. The coffee shop was very clean and had a really good feel to it. I definitely would come back to try more menu options. Again the staff was super sweet and amazing!!!! Job well done!!

I love this coffee shop! Great selection of drinks. Service is great, they are kind. I love the art hanging! There is outdoor seating as well which is great! I ordered a smoothie and it was delicious.

Great atmosphere. Quiet, calm and relaxing. Lots of seating options. Good food and drink choices. Of course I only come in during late morning. The service waffles between perfectly lovely and very attentive.

I keep going here because the coffee is good but I can't anymore. Almost all of the woman that work there are really rude. They are often loud and obscene (gezz I'm a 20 something women not a boomer so that's saying something) and the music is always played too loud (I even hear other patrons complain) which I tolerate fine enough. But the other day I asked for water and was given it in a filthy glass. Accidents happen, I wasn't angry even though I accidentally drank from it. I nicely asked for another glass, and they got me another without a word, no sorry, and in fact she rolled her eyes at me while the others stared at me in disgust. These same girls are often standoffish but this was a whole other level. The new glass she gave me was also dirty.

Their chicken salad sandwiches and Almost Paradise smoothies are the best. I also like their interior and it's a nice place to study. This time I tried their British Islander latte. It was decent, but unfortunately it took 25 minutes for me to get my coffee. I guess they forgot to make it because people who ordered after me got their orders before me. When I reminded the person who took my order, they seemed annoyed. I did not get an apology and it was a disappointing experience. The service needs to improve.
