Wanted to send flowers to a friend who works in Burlington. Thanks to Yelp I discovered The Secret Garden. The reviews were good. I chose a $79 arrangement and it was delivered as instructed. They were quite accommodating and followed all delivery instructions. The arrangement was gorgeous and looked like the photo on their website. Check out the photo!

Had had high hopes for the order I placed. When I saw it I was immensely disappointed. Although my mother really appreciated it she knew instantly there's no way I would've ordered something would look like this. I contacted the owner and for a moment it seemed like she was going to work with me and then suddenly ceased all communication when I sent her multiple pictures of the arrangement. I've then filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau at which point she never responded to them. I will now be disputing the charge with my credit card because I was not provided the item I paid for. I hope anyone else that had an issue with their order also files with the Better Business Bureau maybe eventually she'll acknowledge her terrible product.

Longggg time no see Yelp, but here is a doozy. On April 28, 2020 I decided to be a great niece and order a bouquet of flowers for my aunt in Kentucky. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic I decided to be intentional when making my purchases this go around. I decided to utilize Yelp and find a small local business to fulfill my order. As an out of towner I looked for the florist with the best reviews, and THE SECRET GARDEN won!Next I was obliged to go scrolling through a long list of floral arrangement images to find the perfect bouquet. My aunt has been my rock and since she has lost her own mother, Mother's Day has become a harder holiday to swallow. So once I found the "Honey Bee Farms Daisy- Large with Honey" bouquet I knew it was the one. This arrangement was advertised to come with a 3 oz jar of Tupelo honey from the Savannah Bee Company. I'm a Savannah girl so this bouquet meant a lot. It was like sending a piece of myself to my aunt. As if I were physically there with her. I made my purchase ($56.70) and I went on my way. Proud that I wasn't scrabbling like many other holidays. Lol On 5/8/2020 i received a very emotional phone call from my aunt. Enthusiastic and happy that an unknown present was waiting for her at her door. When we got off the phone I found pictures of the alleged floral arrangement. The exterior had some form of felt bee hugging the vase and in the middle of the arrangement was a 12 oz plastic jar of Kroger brand Honey Clover honey. This is of no disrespect to the Kroger brand company, because that is actually my grocery store of choice. However, that is not was I envisioned. When you simply compare the prices of the two their is a huge discrepancy. A 3 oz jar of honey from Savannah Bee company is $7.50 and the 12 oz jar from Kroger is $3.99. Definitely not the same. So as a good shopper I check my phone, voicemail, and email to look for some form of communication letting me know my item was truly delivered and/or there were modifications to my order due to the virus. And there was nothing. The morning of 5/9/2020 I decided to call The Secret Garden to inquire about the change. A bright voice initially answered the phone, but the conversation soon turned dismissive. I'm not sure if I spoke to Jackie or Janice but regardless it was a complete disappointment. I was told that there was nothing she could do, that the products were of equal value, that she had more orders of higher importance, that I should have wrote in the notes that the honey was important (which I never knew you had to specify that you required a specific item that is advertised) and I was hung up on. My only request was to receive some sort of notification on the change, to have received a local brand of honey, and/or receive the modification clause from their website (which doesn't exist). Nothing was offered and I was rushed off the phone. Left with a false promise of a follow up call before I was hung up on. When I called back to get the name of the young lady there was no answer. Overall I give this company a B for timeliness. The delivery was delivered on the expect day. They should receive a D for delivery. No email notification or text letting me know my item had been delivered. And a F for customer service and quality. This company prides themselves winning top rated online florist and couples choice winner awards. However my interact was cold and it lacked empathy.

Ordered an arrangement listed on their website in the photo below, Winter Moonlight Bouquet for 49.99. Asked Janet specifically if they had the exact roses. Janet stated she did. I placed the order. Once the order arrived it looked nothing like the photo. I sent Janet photos of the arrangement that arrived. She stated substitutions were made and that it was only short one rose and what I call lavender roses they call pink-purple. She should have told while placing my order she didn't have the flowers shown on her website. She offered to pick up the flowers they delivered and refund my money for my grandmothers 100 Birthday. My grandmother who has no idea she got something I didn't order and next a knock at the door, "I'm here to pick up the flowers we didn't make correctly!" Janet offered this to solve their lack of fulfilling the order correctly because who would want the flowers to be picked up after the recipient already has them?!?! She then offered to give me $2.50 refund for the one rose missing. Vase wasn't even the same! Very unprofessional, defensive and brash. Kids screaming in background in all three phone calls while placing order and then try to dispute order!!!Buyer beware....if you order over the phone from the photo off their website what you think you are ordering is completely different! I understand to substitute some items but it looked absolutely nothing like the image of what I ordered!! I would never ever do business with this unprofessional florist. I explained I would be writing a Yelp review and she said..." Go ahead write your review you aren't getting any money back from me and hung up!

Be sure that everything is up to snuff on your wedding day as flowers are delivered! Our corsages were too little to wear and flowers fell off boutonnieres and corsages. They simply would not live up to their hundred percent satisfaction guarantee because I didn't immediately call BEFORE the problem could've been noticed. Have tried and tried to work with this merchant put in a dispute with American Express and they refunded my money, but then they charged it back to me because the merchant said that flowers can wilt. It wasn't about the wilting of the flowers, although that did happen. It was about the craftsmanship.

My husband ordered a large bouquet for my wedding anniversary. $260. 32 large calla lilies and 12 red roses. The bulk was small lilies but that is fine. But by the next morning some of the lilies were on the table dead. The next day followed with more. By day 5 all my calla lilies were dying and the roses wilted and not close to open. I have had some lovely bouquets from them in the past but since this one did not last a day I will never waste that kind of money on this store and stick to better florists.Huge disappointment. Hoping the 32 wilted flowers do not represent my 32 years of marriage LOL.

I got flowers from The Secret Garden for my birthday by my family. It was a total surprise and they are gorgeous!!!! They have flowers that haven't even bloomed yet, which most flower places I know do not do that. That made it extra special to me!!Even though I didn't pay for these flowers (so I'm unsure of how priced they are) I will be buying from them when the time comes!
