it was ok but not for the price. $65 each. its at the Old Spaghetti Factory so the dinner selection is pasta. My husband chose the lasagna and it was good. I chose the fettucine and it lacked flavor and was a little runny. The show was ok but not great. I've been to several murder mysteries at other locations. They seemed to get lost in the story sometimes of what to do next. but they definitely were working hard for people to enjoy themselves. The lead person was a little rude several times telling the audience to hush and was rude to us when we first checked in. Bottom line, it's something different to do for a date night.

Was a fun event. Made for a fun friday. Using groupon is the only way this would be worth it as the full price would be ridiculous. The actors were fun and did a good job in engaging the participants. Dress for the theme, makes it more fun. The biggest knock is the menu choices. Really not impressed with the limited menu options. Salad was not good. Spaghetti with tomato sauce was the only option that seemed palatable. Not sure why you can't have meatballs or meat sauce too. Luckily the activity was fun

This was a cool experience for me, it was fun, different and a neat idea. There were some things I would have changed. I felt there were a few too many suspects, it began to get hard to keep track who was who. Even with too many suspects, there were sooo many people participating. You had to wait quite often to ask questions, and were able to overhear and gathers info from the others asking questions in front of you, while saving your bribe money. The bribe money was also either inconsistent, or not executing/informed well. I talked to roughly 6 people and only one demanded money prior to talking. While others were somehow running out of money quickly. Lastly, there was a lot of information, which is fine. However it was a bit tough to hear people over the microphone quite often. A lot of the entertainers also spoke fast, due to being so much info, so should you miss a bit of info you couldnt wait and ask "what they say" otherwise you'd miss the next bit.Granted these are small details, and yes at the end they provide all the info you need anyway, but these are my observations. We still had fun and enjoyed it. I still recommend to check out.

We were disappointed. It was a lot of money for only 3 choices of rather blah entrees. And the entree was WAY too late being served. Everyone at my table was complaining. We also were disappointed that we were encouraged to dress INAPPROPRIATELY:"What to Wear for Til Death Do Us Part: The worst attire you can wear to a wedding; ugly bridesmaid dresses, beach attire, farming attire, ridiculous ties."Many people went to great lengths to dress as instructed. But the 2 people who won the costume contest were just wearing regular dressy clothes.

My husband and I went to this location (Spaghetti Factory Fairfield, Ohio) for the murder mystery dinner. People raved about the murder mystery show and the food would be better because of the location. Based on the murder mystery dinner package! No. 1 - food choices or selection for the food, is terrible. Choices for vegetarian is the one and only pasta and tomato sauce basically-or in simple English! Nothing to rave about. And the other choices are spinach tortellini with Alfredo sauce. Both of the other choice have pork in in. Why can't we just get chicken?! Or just chicken salad? Anyone with specific diet basically are forced to eat the vegetarian meal! No.2 - the murder mystery show itself is................... Boring. Some guests who were appointed to act, doesn't have the theater voice, can't hear them! Some doesn't share the information that was supposed to be shared and the actors from the murder mystery company themselves are just......okay. No.3 - we were offered to purchase the "gold tickets" totally NOT worth it! We get the food last, we sat just like everyone else, sharing table with everyone else, cramping location with everyone else, and nothing special came with it! Just pictures? We got two pictures in a cardboard that saysurder mystery company. Sure, but the picture wasn't clear/it's blurry and not professional. My phone did better with pictures. And we both are married, we got two sets of the same two pictures. What?!!!!! Nothing fancy or special or acknowledged with the "GOLD tickets" Gold tickets means you pay extra you got nothing! Very disappointed and we regretted it! No. 4 - let's go back to the "3 course dinner." This has to do with spaghetti factory itself! The salad itself was watery!!!! I don't even know what kind of dressing was that. Some kind of ranch but has no taste like ranch at all. The main course, as I mentioned before, no choices. Stucked with angel hair and tomato sauce. Dessert? They pun a table mat of cakes dessert and all we got was a scoop of Neapolitan ice cream! Seriously?! And we have to pay and order upfront. And oh, drinks wasn't included in the tickets priced we have purchased in advance even with gold tickets! I don't like writing bad reviews but this one I just have to. I will not encourage anyone to go for the murder mystery dinner. Not on a date. Not on anniversary either. For the experience, sure. If you extra money to spare on nothing, sure.

I was very disappointed with the show my friends and I went to see in at the American Legion in Cincinnati. The food was very bad. The kinds you'd expect in a hospital or old-folks home. The story was simple and easy to solve. There was not much mystery in it at all. In fact, the group at my table did not want to believe the final resolution of the plot since it was the most obvious and had no dramatic story telling at all. We thought we were supposed to be in a crime novel or movie. And while the actors were into it and trying to sell the weak story, they really were not that good either. I've seen better acting at school performances. And to top it off, they present a scam via Groupon or other coupon sites where they sell tickets but then claim all of the shows are sold out...but if you pay another fee, essentially doubling the cost, you can have "special" seats to the show and will receive a picture. Everyone I knew that went to the Cincinnati shows had to pay the additional fee to use their Groupon tickets. When we got there, nothing special was offered at all. And everyone who attended got a picture. They are getting around the Groupon "bargain" by selling low-priced tickets they then refuse to honor unless more money is given to them. They will tell you you can try to use them in another city that is not sold out. But I am not driving to Cleveland or Indianapolis so that I go to a bad show and eat bad food.Maybe other cities are actually entertaining? I don't know. And I will never find out as I felt so completely ripped off at every level (tickets, food, show) that I will never go to anything from this company again.I noticed they are now also doing performances at The Old Spaghetti Factory (6320 S Gilmore Rd. , Fairfield, Ohio 45014.) I see they have a new offer on Groupon. Be warned if you use a coupon to book your seats as soon as you purchase it before they do the "sold out" scam on you too. But also be prepared for bad food and a lame storyline.I have been to other events like this and they are not all as terrible as the experience I had at The Murder Mystery Company.

The show was good. The actors were beyond nice. The audience was great. The food choices not so great. I would definitely go again. I wish that the instructions were a little clearer as a suspect. I was never told to turn the pages in the binder so I missed a lot of clues.

My husband and I decided to try something new to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We had a fabulous time at our murder mystery dinner! The staff was friendly, the food delicious, and the mystery very entertaining. We will definitely do this again!

The Spaghetti Factory is the location that our Murder Mystery was at. I love the Spaghetti Factory .. that being said, the quarters for the Mystery Murder dinner were tight. It was a little difficult to mingle and ask others questions due to the spacing of the tables. The room was loud with all the people, so it was difficult to consult others at your own table to work on the mystery. The food was good. The service that night for the occasion was a bit laxed....could have been an off night. The event was enjoyable, we laughed, we were intrigued. It is definitely worth an evening out to try.We had an experience in Omaha Nebraska for an "Office Party" dinner event many years ago and couldn't wait to try the Murder Mystery Dinner. The bar was set very high in Omaha, so you know where my review was coming from. If I had nothing to compare it to, my review may have been set a bit higher. Again, definitely worth an evening out to have fun. Dressing up for the theme makes it even better. If you want to pay a little more to guarantee to be an "actor" for the evening .. it is worth it as well. Be prepared to be asked to purchase a photo of you and your group as a souvenir.

This was my second time attending the Murder Mystery Company show at the Old Spaghetti Factory in Fairfield, OH. There isn't much to do in Fairfield...so we went...again.I didn't expect much the second time around, but was pleasantly surprised. The Murder Mystery Company team tries to make the night fun and entertain the group. The 50s Sock Hop Theme was much better than the 80s Rock Band. A group picture is taken upon arrival, you get seated and wait for the show to begin. If you get there early, you wait until everyone is seated. If you get there late, it starts right away. Depending on when you arrive, you hate or love how long it takes to get started. It's not a perfect show and can get hectic, but it is as much fun as you make it. We had a great time and participated with a positive attitude. If you are expecting too much, you will be disappointed, so go with the flow and you will have fun. Patrons are part of the show and are not professional actors...so they will make mistakes. Don't take it seriously, it's just a show! This review does not include the service and food at the Old Spaghetti factory. This is only for the Murder Mystery Company show we attended.
