The Monkey Bar & Grille

Scenic views, lots of great seating options. Fire pits in the summer. Music always playing. This place has a lot of vibes if you just want to be outside with a beer. The food is basic but good - great hot dogs and surprisingly good pizza - but $15 is a lot for a personal sized pizza. "Grille" is a generous term for it. There's usually an additional food truck too though so that's nice. I've never been impressed with the staff - they always act like they can't be bothered. All in all - if you want a place outside for beer go here. If you want more full service I'd recommend elsewhere.

Great food and ambiance it's on a lake gorgeous layout of the restaurant it's kind of like a maze inside levels with huge outdoor seating with lake backdrop.I have tried their pizza, pretzel and hotdog all are a solid 8/10. Mixed drinks are pretty weak I have tried them twBut the service is beyond pathetic so so slow-no one comes to follow up you need to chase the servers which I absolutely hate. The management should really focus on their service aspect. It's a service restaurant where they expect tips but don't give any service they slam the food and drinks and leave and never return.

Always fun to come here and grab a pint and sit out on the deck or patio . Great view of the river. Excellent spot for a hot summer night since the cool damp air is refreshing. Plenty of parking. Love the rustic atmosphere.

I will say, you will be hard pressed to find a more scenic bar and "grill" in the area. It is super convenient to Kings Island and Great Wolf Lodge. That said, wasn't really impressed with much else. Kind of a missed opportunity with the menu as it is super limited, and extremely basic. I would put it as an elevated kids meal menu. If I was in the area, I would stop by for a beer, but definitely wouldn't go out of my way based off the menu options.

This is probably the best bar that I have ever been to. It is totally relaxing, the food is good and the drinks are good. There's live entertainment not to mention the fact that it sits right on top of a lazy river being the Little Miami River. I have nothing but exemplary things to say about this place

The Monkey Bar is the perfect variety of amazing atmosphere, fun times, and great food/drinks. From the top down, they deliver an experience that makes you want to go back. Conveniently located with a wide assortment of events ranging from bourbon groups and dinners to live bands. One of my favorite spots in the country, thank you Monkey Bar crew!

Drank cold beers and smoked cigarettes with the original ape there ! Of course I always would buy. That's back when it was wise to go before dark 50 yrs ago. Lol !Now & since renovated several years ago, I take my kids and grandkids often. A hidden gem !

Not ADA compliant. If you need to use the restroom you have to use the stairs or walk a very long way. If that doesn't apply to you it's ok.

Ordered a drink assuming it was something other than it was . I told the server I actually wanted another beverage. 12$ drinks. She did deliver the others beverage. We go every weekend.! I received the check and was charged for both beverages and my husbands. When I asked why we were charged for the beverage that wasn't what I wanted. Her response was you ordered it you pay for it . Being in industry for many years I felt it was unfair. My husband talked with the manager on duty and basically said once the drink is made it's your obligation to pay for it. I feel it's a crappy way to take care of customers! We certainly spend plenty of money there. I feel like you comp or qsa a single drink! Super dissatisfied and disappointed!!!!

Pizza and Potsto Skin were the worst I ever had. The potato skins were undercooked. Sent them back. The second set was worse than the first set. The pizza daugh was old. It didn't rise. I'm not a fan.
