The Lateral Sports Bar

I have given this bar so many opportunities to make a good impression but every time I'm let down. The staff seems to care more about getting drunk and having a good time than they care about running a decent business or doing their jobs. On the weekends this place is a sloppy underage drinking hub, with mask wearing not being enforced at all. I truly wish that this place would get shut down or get new owners because these owners, managers and workers clearly do not care at all about customer service, cleanliness, the health and wellbeing of others during a global pandemic or underage drinking laws. -10 out of 10, two thumbs down, do NOT recommend

Went to the Lateral to check it out as we used to go to thos bar when it was open under another name. I could not have been more disappointed. What used to be mainly a neighborhood bar has turned into a drunken teenage mess. I heard multiple times throughout the night kids talking about how they couldn't go to Dana's because Dana's would card and they got into the Lateral before they started carding that night. It was early winter and mainly filled with crop tops and sloppy kids. Will not be going back and am very sad for the neighborhood.

Came here to watch the SEC championship. There were a lot of "regulars" there from Xavier. The bartenders were really nice and so was the kitchen owner. However, there's not much of a selection in terms of beer or food. Also, we came around the aftermath of the Crosstown Shootout and it was just trashed. I swept up the floor by our table myself because it was so messy. It was really frustrating because we came to this sports bar to watch sports, but they also have a touch tunes machine so people kept playing music over the game. We ended up leaving at half-time because it got to be obnoxious.

Drinks are too expensive. There are way more better local opinions to get better service, cheaper drafts, and cold beer in cans.

Fun night. Randomly picked the bar to hangout with friends for the night after grabbing burgers down the street. We had a great evening. Everyone made us feel welcome. The bartenders were awesome. Would definitely visit again.

Best bar in Norwood. New owners are awesome, they did a little rehab to the spot too which was needed. Good cheap drinks and they bring in some food, or you can get some local delivery. Good service.

The lateral sports bar is now probably the best place to be in norwood. They have a bunch of large TVs for game days, as well as great bar games - pool, Electric and steel tip darts, and golden tee. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed, you feel welcomed and comfortable as soon as you walk through the door. The only down fall is no kitchen and no food available ..but the benefit to that is they allow outside food to be delivered and brought it.

Cool place. A great time. Drinks are good (could be watered down who knows) Great atmosphere. A LOT of young people on the weekends. Can get rowdy at night on the weekends but honestly I can't complain. 5 star rating is well deserved.
