The Gibson House

This beautifully renovated event space is yet another of Clifton's wonderful hidden gems. I never knew it existed until I attended an event there tonight, and I was stunned by the way the decor stays true to the original architectural style of the mansion, but embraces contemporary trends as well. The homey feel of the place also survived (or, rather, thrived under) the renovation. You feel as though you're in the sitting room of the home of a fabulously wealthy friend. There's plenty of room for a bridal/baby shower, birthday or holiday party, or small wedding reception. I didn't get to really poke around a lot, but the upstairs has been converted to offices and I lost count of the number of restrooms. I would love to come back during the daytime and see the gardens out back!I didn't deal with any of the logistics of the event I went to, but if they're as good at business as they are at throwing parties, definitely have them on your short list!
