We had a reservation so we were seated promptly. The restaurant is really cute. Love the decor and the vibe. It was crowded and noisy. Seemed like people like this place. I was excited to try it. They had run out of the specials before 6:30 sadly. We ordered two shareable's, the Brussel sprouts and the goat cheese stuffed mini peppers. They delivered the appetizers but gave us no plates or serving utensils to eat them so the four of us sat with them for a while before we could flag down someone to bring plates and spoons so we could actually eat them. By that time we also needed more water. They had not given us a carafe to refill ourselves as they had other tables around us.The mini stuffed experts were very good. I was not such a fan of the Brussel sprouts largely because of the amount of sweet balsamic dressing on them. They were a bit too sweet for my taste. My husband had the chicken saltimboca, and while he said it tasted good, he said it was dry (despite the gravy they poured over it.) He said the veggies were delicious but the amount served is on the small side. I wasn't in the mood for most of the offerings so I opted for a Caesar salad and added chicken for an extra fee. There was very little chicken on the salad and as I started eating it I realized that the bottom of the bowl was covered in small croutons. There was a disproportionate amount of croutons vs actual salad. I have never had a salad with croutons on the bottom. It was overdressed and the croutons became soggy underneath. The chicken was dry and lackluster. (Seriously- who puts two handfuls of croutons under a salad?)I would have given 3 starts but within 2-3 hours after leaving I had some intestinal distress. Never a good sign. This was not a good experience. I'm willing to pay top dollar for a good culinary experience. This was not one.

I generally don't post bad reviews, but there were so few recent reviews that I felt I should. We sat outside on a beautiful Saturday evening. It was lovely. Server was pleasant. We came with friends and had drinks. Ordered focaccia for appetizer. It didn't come. 2 dinners were served and we all gasped at the size of the pasta carbonara. Such a tiny bowl it looked more like a side than a meal. A few minutes later the other 2 dishes were served. I laughed at my friend's "cauliflower steak" as it wasn't cut like a steak but just 1/4 head of cauliflower on a plate. It wasn't grilled or roasted. When my friend tried to cut it it actually flew off her plate and onto the table. And it was $26!!!My burger had good flavor but when I picked it up for my first bite the grease had already soaked through the bun. When i asked about the focaccia our served had completely forgot about it. $10 for 2 pieces of the driest bread. Between the 4 of us no one liked it. Maybe the lunch menu is better. Dinner was just way overpriced and portions too small.

I wanted to stay closer to another destination so we ended up here. The service was fantastic, but I expected more from the food. Seemed like there were a lot of regulars so maybe I ordered rhetorical wrong thing.

I visited again after 3 years, and the changes I noticed were not in a good direction. I didn't see any liquor, just beer and wine (they had a full bar before). Also the menu is even smaller. There are a couple of salads, "shareables" that are more like side dishes (pine nuts, potatoes, etc), and some sandwiches. Hard to make a satisfying meal (with protein) out of what's offered on the bill of fare. This place wasn't crowded on a Friday night and the BBQ place next door closed. Add in less / no liquor and a smaller menu, and I'd guess that this place is headed towards closure. Three years passed since my last visit and they ain't doing so hot, IMO.

Great place for a date night in my opinion. Also, you can stop in for a bottle of wine and bring it home. Wine selection fits my wife's preferences and is very fairly priced.

2 stars for location and beauty and potential. 0 stars for extraordinarily unwelcoming staff on first occasion and 0 stars for the single-handedly rudest server ever encountered on visit 2 - to point the patrons on both sides of our tables even looked up at the encounter. I was attracted to healthy food options but underwhelmed by flavor and sloppy kitchen work. Salad full of huge chunks of onions, for example. How about a thinner slice? You can read my hundreds of other reviews, takes a lot for me to call a place unwelcoming or call out servers during these pandemic times. Weird vibes here. Twice. Nope. So uncomfortable. Yuck.

This is a great spot for lunch. Four of us ladies in the family took my daughter to lunch for her birthday and sat outside. It was so peaceful and relaxing. We started with one of the Birch's specialty cocktails followed by salads and burgers. We lingered over conversation enjoying the diffused sunlight and beautiful weather. My daughter said she and her husband love going there for dinner either at the bar or again outside under the lights hanging from the trees. My one suggestion would be for a little more comfortable chairs outside.

We wanted to love this restaurant but unfortunately we won't return. The food was below average in taste bordering on flavorless and ridiculously small portions. The service was politely tolerant meaning okay but not friendly. (When I asked for some balsamic vinegar and oil or a dip since their bread was so dry and flavorless, she said, "We can't do that. We can't even give you a few drops of olive oil.") The ambience was nothing special and a bit sterile, but very loud and difficult to hear each other.

So fresh and delicious. Everything was incredible and clearly right from the farm. I have never had anything like the goat cheese filled peppers. The ambience was perfect. Truly amazing meal.
